"Not enough material"

I purchased the Apex 620A blueprint (medium sized ship), but cannot deploy it as I moved one of it's parts to a linked container. I cannot take the item back into my inventory as I'm now carrying too much (52 tonnes, 100% volume), I get "Failed to move items" . There does not appear to be anything I can do other than to remove all my items and either sell or destroy them, then repurchase the ship? I can't do that as I have no cash or time.

(The reason I moved the item out of my inventory in the first place was to try to make space to pick up a core unit from my speeder, as I was getting a message saying I had too many core units deployed - I did not realised until too late you could train number of core units up.)

Good idea, did not know you could do that, just that I have an extra small container.

Maybe I can run to my base and use my containers there, they are only small size though, and I have maybe 2 of them, but I think they only hold a few tonnes each.

I may be screwed

Another trick if you are in a pinch and away from larger containers, is to stack stuff onto the 'emergency ship' and compact it (Alt+B).

And if you don't already have a compacted ship in your inventory ready for unforeseen events, look into that too. :)
