How Interplanetary War Would Work

Hello everyone, Porco here with an idea how to make this an actual reality. Lately I've been writing a lot of articles against Madis, to start an interplanetary war. Here's how it would work. Each planet would get their own flag? color? whatever....and we would attack the ships of the enemies outside the safe zone, while still making it safe to build in the safe zone. We can do this and evolve the universe as the players, and that is what the Devs intended, I believe. Create our own stories. Make our own politics. Alioth vs Madis is just the start. With territory warfare coming we can have civil wars on the planets. All covered by the many people making magazines and media now. Thanks BTW...The Howl and The Novian Hub are awesome! Please share your ideas on this matter.

You know Alioth and Madis and all the space between are permanently safe, right? There won't be a war between them unless it's a trade war.

Wars will be between large orgs, but probably no org will ever be big enough to control a planet - blockade briefly and not very successfully, sure, but not control. Such orgs will have flags if they want them. A transponder set to an org code also functions as a flag.

Just as no large org can control a planet, most won't confine themselves to a single planet either.

Why?

Why is the sky blue? (not on Madis)...what are stars but pinholes in the curtain of night...What kind of a question is that? Why? Why not! Is more the question. Why would we not got o war against a people that eat their babies. Short answer...people want war!

You’re probably going to see nerdier things like landing pad surveillance and market price drops telling you if there is a viable target on the planet.   Then someone with a database of semi manually inputted data of who lives where to narrow down where to scout.  Then manually scouting to try and find where to camp.

it’s pure action for some people’s mind sets.  But mostly just EVE style gate camping, with some targeted intel (to make up for the far lower player base numbers).

Most people do not and DU is not a space shooter. NQ tries to create a civilisation building game with a fully player driven economy. If that works there will be no war just for fun but only as the measure of last resort to force the interests of large organisations.

People always say that, but it's a video game. And my org will be at war 100% of the time. What you gonna do, stop me?
