Game crashes on load

Hello,

 

Everytime i try to start the game it crashes to desktop on loading screen, getting the "an unhandled exception has been caught" message. I restarted the game many times, updated video drivers, tried lower settings, deleted cache, forced respawn, even reinstalled the game, but i still cant get in. My specs are: I9 9900 / 32GB / RTX 2080 Super / 2TB SSD (with enough free space) - and everything else works fine.

Its been two weeks since i cant play.

I am just a noob, but I submitted a ticket to the NQ help and support section and they helped me. Although I do know there are issues with the game, I have been able to play it.

 

One thing they had suggested was to clear the cache (loadup screen, upper righthand side drop down menu), but I think that only applies if you have been able to play it before.

It seems to be related to a recent Windows update - have you recently updated Windows?

Yes, I think there was a Windows update a few days back.

I had the same issue, in my case it was related to the shadow settings: having them to "none" was causing the game crash after loading.

 

I've set them on "low" and now the crashes after loading have gone.

i was having the same issue, along side random crashes, however i have been logging on as 2 different players, when i cleared my cache and then i have been running fine since without logging on as the other player.
