Territory Scanner - False Results?

Guys one question. I already asked ar discord, but no one had an ideal.
Could it be that the territory scanner delivers false results? I had about 1900 kl of Bauxite in the tile. I digged for hours and retrieved about 400kl in small pockets not bigger than 20kl. A new scan showed the 1500kl left.  My scan runns up to 1100m (+400m from Scanner) show no bauxite anymore. Could it be deeper or is the scan result of the territory scanner false?

I scanned also the surronding tiles.

Any help appreated!

It's 100% possible that there's a cheeky mega-node hiding somewhere up to 3000m deep, but unlikely to be below 1km if it's T1 ore.

It's also entirely possible that said mega-node has already been mined and is ghosted if you found a suspiciously large and man-made cave somewhere.

Scanners are unreliable.

I've never experienced false results on the territory scanner myself. Sometimes T1 can be as deep as T2-T3.

Well tx for the answers. It hasn't been mined, there was no cave at all. I will dig deeper an let you know.

if you haven't relogged - I would do that every time before you scan if you moved a significant distance.

 

went to mine on a moon once, scan showed the ore was there.  Dug to the ore, started mining it and got an error and the ore disappeared.

I tried that- I simply believe there is no ore. When I have time, I will dig down to 3000m
