Why would you prefer a contest of "who has the most rockets strapped to their ship" instead of a good ol' demolition derby?
CptLoRes
Yes, I always prefer skill based events (ship design, navigation, piloting, inflight resource management) to random luck. And we all know some race participants would use org members with PvP cubes to hunt down race opponents.
dumpeet
If your cubes can reach race ship velocity then by all means use them. A carebear race boils down to using as many engines as possible and maxing out piloting skills, nothing more. If people really want to cheat, they can do it without weapons just by having org members ram their opponents, giving people an ability to fight back is what makes it fair. CptLoRes
The cubes would be waiting at known checkpoint locations, not chase after racers. And ram a moving ship in space, now I know you are just trolling for a response so this will be my last reply..
dumpeet
What do you gain by making me explain the obvious? The enemy ships don't need to be cubes to ram them and they don't need to be at top speed to reach them at known checkpoint locations either. Starsz
Was originally The Talemai Loop death race - had absolutely no interest, no one signed up. Now i have a lot more racers. But yes until they fix PVP, it will be in the safe zone. CptLoRes
michaelk
Sounds like a great event! Hopefully the first of many. Best of luck to the organizers and racers. Ignore dumpeet -- they are just here to troll...
