Ship size restrictions

Went to go pick up some materials from the market on Alioth. Couldn't park my ship anywhere because of these huge ships being parked on the pads. I suggest having an option to select the size of ship allowed in the build zone by the ship weight or core size. This would help with server performance and ships being littered everywhere. I have seen this in other games. Players can park their ships outside the area and be forced to take a smaller vessel to shop. But not to far out of reach of our containers.

I guess the reason for that performance issues are the hundred little ships which are parking all around the landing pad for days just to have a vehicle if the player arrives one day... If you ask me then there should be restrictions for those little vessels.

thing is tho, the server has to work with a few hundred ships around - otherwise cities won't be a thing and this massive mmo with "millions of players" won't happen

This is not to limit the number of ships. This is so big ass ships dont park on or in areas they shouldn't be. I know the server is supposed to handle alot of ships. For example, if you arrive at a market and it has to load in 20 small ships, the sever can load it in faster, but if the ships are bigger they will take longer for the server to load them in.

This is an interesting idea, I would love to see them add more landing pads though of various sizes(as an in game item as well) where you could store your ship as a whole construct “inside” of the pad or a connected container.
