Remove tools from inventory

The inventory is very cluttered right now, even if it is empty. Since the tools are permanent parts of our suits, and do not disappear when we die and cant be removed from the toolbar, they should just be removed from the inventory and exist only in the hotbar. We do not need them in the inventory since  we dont need to reequip them

i can't understand why any body els like this idea. and i dubt its too dificult to achieve.

There are two extra regular tools that must be swapped in and out as needed... so some tool access is needed.

 

Agreed that they shouldn't appear in the regular inventory.

 

tbh, i barely touch my inventory.. linked containers are the way to go.

A checkbox preference up top on your personal inventory of "Show Tools" (defaulted ON for new players) would help hide those away.

ya youre right, but i feel like the deploy ground element tool at least can be folded into one of the other tools. Not sure why static cores need their own tool specifically. Im sure another one could be combined too, maybe the two radars.

How about a "Press ? for build mode/dig mode" then have a seperate pallete you can pull up for tools via menu? Keep it two bars with shift+1/2 to switch between them.

Eventually we'll have other stuff to throw down there, it WILL get monotonous having to swap things out all the time.
