I was doing the construct tutorial. When I got to the part where you use a static core it wouldn't let me place it. I asked in chat and someone said that I have to train my skills up. Which I have done as far as I can. I don't have enough points to train further. What kind of tutorial is this? Cannot even complete the basics and it's so much of a time sink. Five plus hours to train level four in Architect -> Static Core Unit Expertise. I realise it will take some time but for a tutorial where you are supposed to be learning the basic mechanics it's ridiculous. I basically cannot go any further because I've hit a wall.

Ya I ended up skipping the tutorial since it wouldn't even let me place one construct. Been learning to build on sanctuary plot lol.

There is a talent to increase the # of active cores you can have at a time. Ideally you would do the building tutorial before starting your base on the Sanct. Moon. Its relatively cheap too, like 3k points. You can auto train it in like 20 mins.

The talent you need to train is under architect in the mining & inventory portion of the talent tree

You get +2 each "basic" level, and +1 each "advanced" level. So its 17 cores. 

But those are "all" cores, no separation between static or dynamic. 

 

Also keep in mind that orgs can own very large amounts of cores, way above 17.
