Archaics
I'm about to build my first ship, can anyone here tell me what the best materials are? Does it matter? What honeycomb material would be best for a ship? Atmo and Space.
Nodles
I am also starting on that route, but I think I will try to start with as little as possible in voxels for my first xs core so try to get as much as possible just elements with the lightest density honeycomb material I can find (need to look what that is but presume I will end up at aluminium (as least in the real world that would be the solution). Friday
I used plastic for my first ship, but Aluminum is also good. You can inspect the different voxels in the market to check their density.
Noonie
Don't forget to also compare the damage resistances; these seem to improve quite a bit as you go up the tier ladder with pure & products.
CroolisVar
On the cheap, plastic seems to have the best compromise for light and damage resistant. On the higher end, umm scandium is it (I forget the name exactly). This is just me looking at the stats, mind.
