PureWasabi
Hello everyone, Really like what I see about DU but I have some growing questions. First when the game is release will the universe start new? Meaning that everything that was done in Alpha will be gone? Things like player builds and land claims? Will the games lunch be a blank slate for everyone? Or would it be better to join now and start stocking up on build supplies and scout out areas to build? Sorry if this has been already been talked about but my searches have not answered these questions for me. Thanks for you time.
Borb_1
There's a wipe of all built things. But players keep their blueprints. Currently the game is in alpha 3 and Testing >>> Playing so you are not missing anything atm. However you WILL GAIN by joining the Beta. What will you gain? That is fuzzy (apart from blueprints) but examples include: Social contacts, game understanding, probably a knowledge of the game world locations and more... For example. I hope this information is useful and clear to you. Bear in mind the price is exceedingly affordable but you may want to check your computer specifications carefully. Bear in mind the current status Testing >>> Playing until Beta.
Jinxed
There will be a wipe at the end of alpha where all constructs are removed and the landscape of all the planets and moons will be reset (or changed to their final form) for the Beta. Moreover, all skills learnt will be lost and all ℏ (money) gained will be lost. As Borb_1 above stated, only Blueprints will make it past the Alpha. Thus, it will likely be an advantage learning how to play and becoming familiar with the game's mechanics and physics and making some in-game player friends so that when the Beta drops, you can hit the ground running and maybe have a few choice Blueprints. If I'm not mistaken, there won't be another wipe at the end of the Beta so beta "testers" will get a short head start over the main players. Massacher
I pledged 60€ which is $104.90 AUD. Am I right in saying that Alpha 3 will be on in about 5 hours? Also I just saw an email that asks me to Finalize my account. I didn't see it earlier (it got buried down the page in my inbox). Anyway when I clicked the link it came up with: Quote ERROR 500 OOPS, THAT WENT WRONG. YOU HAVE REACHED THE EDGE OF THE UNIVERSE THIS LINK MIGHT BE BROKEN OR THE PAGE MAY HAVE BEEN REMOVED, PLEASE RETURN TO THE CORRECT DIMENSION I also tried to copy and paste the link underneath the button. Same error. Will I be able to login and play Alpha 3 if my account is not finalized?
