How Would You Train your Armies and Fleets?

Hello my lovely DU players! I know it's been a while since i last posted a question for you guys, but i'm back now with a new question! Since the lovely devs have come out with their road map and we now have a rough idea of when to expect the pvp alpha test, i wanted to ask our awesome current and future organization leaders and our other community friends this:

 

How do you plan to train your army for in game wars and conflicts? 

 

A similar game like Space Engineers or Eve? Or maybe you want to wait until the pvp alpha comes out to train there.

 

What about our other community members? What ideas for troop training do you have? What are some flaws in current training techniques you've noticed?

 

Let us know in the comments below! Who knows someone might have a great idea or two.

Dont you think this is a super secret thing to share ? Everyone clearly want to hold their advantage, share mean common know and able to counter it.

 

But i think the training will something like in 2 thing : formation/communication and skill. With skill you can be specialist and with formation/communication training give you ability to control and advance your team quicker, in order and teamwork.

I see your point but i dont think that most training for this game is worth being kept a secret, because chances are most people could be thinking the same thing. Besides at this stage all training ideas are pretty much theories and...well ideas. Since no one really knows 100 percent what to expect.

But once the theories is prove being work, everyone will go here to read about it. Every org have to think about plan for their Org ( their commander who in charge control army/security)

In my experience from other games, there's a true key, much more important, even prior to train and get skills on that. That thing is really to create a true team, fruit of good cultivated relationships. People that have trust on you and you on them, reliable people that you actually can call team mates. People willing even to lose their virtual lifes saving yours or just to comply his part of the plan. Now, that's a team... and when you find it.... what a strong and effective combat group to enjoy it.... and what a fear and challenge for the opponents.... Your possibilities multiply exponentially ... and nobody gets an idea of what happened after a decisive and often definitive first blow.

In the other hand, this is obvious but, you know, it really makes the difference.

I doubt most are thinking the same thing. In fact i expect most orgs to have vastly different procedures in a bunch of fields

In case of inevitable struggle, right at the beginning, if you have the means to do so, the Chicago way is very effective.

 

 

This implies that, if they left a shit on your land and laughed at your claim, you leave or drop a nice nuclear bomb in their capital, which means, you do things in such a way that they can not strike back, or at least not as they had wanted to.

Keep in mind a Capital ship will have to have a gunner per weapon plus a pilot. So 50 people might be 20 fighters, 2 frigates of 5, a destroyer with 8 and dreadnaught of 12. 

 

It’ll be interesting to say the least. Most likely hit and run or gurella warfare then fleet battles. That saying I picture there being plenty of land and resources for a while and not a lot of reason to fight at least at the start and a good while after.

There is only one single day to train yourself or your army at the moment:

Every single day:

  • 100 Push-Ups
  • 100 Sit-Ups
  • 100 Squats
  • 10KM Running

You and your army will be unbeatable! It would be like you could beat everything with only one punch!

This suggests that the best training would involve sorting people into relatively small units (perhaps based on when then can reliably be online) so they can bond more easily and assigning each unit tasks.

 

I also think that use of all three dimensions will be crucial. I don’t know what ships will look like, but getting intel on their designs (capturing one?) so you can reliably hit the weak points is crucial.

I didn't read everything, but on the note of secrecy.  Back in an old game I used to play, certain playstyles were taught in certain organizations.  So they'd have a set of private guides that only they would be able to look at.  It's not as uncommon as you'd think.

 

I imagine much of the training in DU will be from videos, many of which will be publicly available.  But certain organizations might have certain takes on training that are accomplished through their own content.

Well i can tell you the basics i expect most people to do for training.

 

1. Play as a group in any game

2. Teach everyone how to fly in aerospace and space

3. Teach them how to communicate in groups and squads

4. ???

5. ???

6. Profit~
