Lurker surfacing

Recommended Posts

Long time Lurker, thought it was time I registered and started looking at... shudder... socialising.

So Hi.

I'm a RL Engineer, a digital-life Space Engineer, Empyrion Designer, Elite Dangerous & Warthunder pilot, an MWO mechwarrior, EVE capsuleer, ARK survivor, and veteran of too many other Sci-fi & fantasy MMOs & FPS to remember.

What else do I write here?

I'm late!

Read this. You'll be knowledgeable after doing so.

Allow me to get to everything now though. Welcome to the forums @Razorwire! I actually assume you've already read the topic above, but I just figured I should get it out of the way.

Anyways, great to see you make a post! Great to see another MWO pilot in here, as well as someone who actively takes an interest in space games! Let me ask you though; what brought you to DU?

Once again though, welcome to Dual Universe!

MWO's great, but it's still just a lobby shooter really. I go back constantly though, so somethings right about it :D

Me and a couple of mates were scratching around for another MMO/MP survival/building/space game, I saw DU on Kickstarter and I liked the look of the vids. If you look at Elite, Star Citizen, EVE, Space Engineers and Empyrion, all of which we play, they're all missing something; huge size/scope, variety of maps, big MP economy & territory & politics, MP crewed ships, avatar FPS stuff, block/voxel building.

DU looks to hit our sweet spot.

Or at least aim for it, time will tell.

... what do you think of No Man's Sky?

I didn't play it. I was going to buy it after release, but a close friend of mine (who did get it) gave me an overview and I watched a couple of streams. I decided to give it a miss, and feel quite good about missing it :D

...What kind of Engineer? ...

Currently electrical and mechanical testing, but I've a varied past; everything from F1 equipment to nuclear. Guessing you are an engineer too, or you wouldn't ask the question...

Cheers for the welcomes, everyone. I feel welcomed.
