Today, I'm happy to announce that GLSQ/U has a new YouTube Channel! We will do weekly livestreams of roundtable discussions about Dual Universe. The first stream will be tomorrow, Saturday May 27 at 1 pm Eastern Standard Time (10 am Pacific Time, 6 pm UK Time, 7 pm CEST).

There really isn't that much content right now to be able to do live stream roundtables every weekend, otherwise, we would have been doing them with DU Explorers. I've been working on the latest DUE episode and it should be ready by the end of next week, but even that is a 20-minute show that covers the last 3 months of dev diaries.

The reason I started DUE was so that we could do roundtables to discuss the game from a neutral point of view without trying to endorse any particular organization over another, so that listeners might not feel like they are being nudged or coerced into any particular organization (although some former hosts felt that by not letting them advertise their own groups, that it was the same as "forcing" them into DUE).

How are you going to keep your show within a neutral setting so that people can discuss things openly on your roundtables if you are billing it as a GLSQ/U show? Or is the intent here not to worry about neutrality and to keep it focused around GLSQ/U?

I can see your concerns so I'll try to address them both.

The concept of content will be a tricky one as you mentioned. With monthly DevDiaries, I can see how DUE would have a rather tricky time finding content since you tried to keep things as neutral as possible. What our stream has been shaping into as we have been working on it has been that we will go through and discuss different things on all of the different outlets of content and ideas from Novaquark themselves and the Dual Universe Community. This will mainly consist of posts from the forums, as well as things on the community site. So it will have a more opinion based feel to it. However, our goal will NOT be to promote GLSQ/U or Associates of GlSU, at least directly. Now, if someone makes a post that directly deals with us or one of our Associates then it could be unavoidable. However, that is not our goal and it never really came up while we were working on the stream. However, I thank you for bringing it to our attention as I'm sure other people would have questions with it. That is probably the main thing that sets our roundtables apart. DUE has always delivered news and updates with a heavy emphasis on neutrality and not favoring any specific organizations. However, we will provide more of an opinionated stream, not directly trying to promote or defame a specific organization but just giving our own opinions on the topics we discuss, in addition to have a good time while streaming and to enjoy it. I mean, that is the most important thing when streaming when you think about it. Who would want to make a stream if they don't enjoy doing it or weren't having fun doing it. I personally think that once we get the issues that will definitely arise since we are new to streaming, that people will enjoy what we do and will support us. I highly encourage you to check out our stream and then assess how we do. We will always welcome feedback especially if it would come from someone who has made streams for Dual Universe and has gotten to the success you have.
