  1. I tried to find a related article but couldn't, so please excuse any duplication or ignorance on my part. I was just wondering why we can enter Build mode via VR, apply talents to a construct, exchange and use tokens, and interact with container inventories, but we cannot interact with industry machines? Is there a gameplay or technical reason? If I could do all these other things while in VR, it would seem obvious I could also start/stop, change schematics, etc, with industry machines too. It would certainly be helpful!
  2. Congratulations on the beta release! I'm pretty new to DU, but absolutely loving it so far. The roadmap sounds very exciting and on point, but I wanted to ask about a few things that (understandably) weren't on there. VR This game seems extremely ambitious and future facing. It seems absolutely perfect for VR. Are there any plans or discussions about adding VR support (including hand use) to the game after it's out? Broadcasting With the game's phenomenally dynamic economy, entertainment and live events are sure to eventually be a big draw. Are there any plans to add video camera-like constructs that would allow broadcasting to screens outfitted with the proper links or antenna configurations? Lua Predictive Syntax / Compile Button The Lua implementation is absolutely brilliant and has already produced player made constructs I wouldn't have thought possible in a game like this. While it's already pretty easy to get started and write Lua in game, I would love to have some syntax hints and a way to compile and test the code's syntax w/o exiting the control. Any plans to add these things specifically? Player Contracts The roadmap mentioned in game events and smaller scale timed player jobs. Along those lines, would it be possible to arbitrate our own events, contests, etc through more general contracting? Potentially with many players at once? Example: Give preset award for any player who performs conditions X,Y and Z (out of a limited set of players, at least). Again, HUGE congrats on the beta! Very excited to get more familiar with the game!
  3. Searched the forum and couldn't find this topic, which I find very surprising. My Oculus Rift is expected to arrive this weekend and now I'm wondering if DU will have support for it. Please, pretty please?
  4. As you can know Vr is developping at a relatively fast pace actually , so a game like this will be a perfect fit for it . I know you are a small team , but will you ever consider implementing Virtual Reality one day ? Thx.
  5. I am very excited about the possibility that this game will be released in VR. I think VR was made for a game like this and would really add to the immersion. I know NQ mentioned it is a possibility (they said it's the reason they went for a first person point of view). This was actually a big selling point for me.   6. Has there been discussion regarding whether the DU team is expecting to integrate VR support? This would be the most incredible VR experience I could think of! If anyone has any details, I'd love to hear more about it. Thanks!
