  1. Hello, today I'm introducing myself, first of all my name is Ginger. I discovered Dual Universe last year, but now here I am! I'm a cosmopolitan, I was born in France, have a german passport, but I live in Luxembourg, I speak 4 languages and learning a fifth one. If you're curious I speak English which is quite obvious, then there German, French and Luxembourgish, and let's not forget the fifth one: Russian (but I'm still a beginner). Btw I have project with friends that is called: THE FEDERATION ALPHA, more about it in future Posts. I'm glad to be here! Have a nice day, night, morning, evening or whatever!
  2. Just backed the game, have been keeping an eye on this and I can't wait to get into the universe. I'm from the UK, like to work as a team member and love to build (ships, bases and software), so this game is perfect for me. Hello everyone! Harvey
  3. I was told to introduce myself, so here I am. I'm an 18y old programmer finnishing up high school. A HUGE SciFi nerd (Star Wars, Star Trek) and both a fan and developer of games. I first saw this game last year presented by Captain Shack of the XPGamers. I sadly missed the initial kickstarter pledge, so I will do it now. I hope to help with the games development even so if only when Alpha 2 arrives. And thats about all, just saying HI to (hopefully) future friends and enemies
  4. Hey dear community, i´m Lyria and glad to be part of you. Years ago i saw this game in a preview and i still love it. I´m a german player who loves to design and build up some wonderful places (i wish there would be a chance to make an artgallery ingame ) i don´t know anything about space and spaceships but i will learn I´m not good with introductions so i hope we will meet ingame (maybe not, cause i´m lost outta space )
  5. Hello, I'm OnyxLinkAlpha I am part of Armacy Federation
  6. Hello guys, since I bought the 135€ gold early-alpha access, I just wanted to say "hi" to everyone! I am a programmer (webdesigner/webdeveloper) that really looks forward to playing this game (even though it's in pre-alpha). The fact that you can program things in this game really makes me eager to put a lot of time into this game since I like automate things and build some cool stuff via scripting into Dual Universe. On top of that I would like to join an organization that wants to put me into charge for programming their desired objects. Even though I want to program a lot, I still think it's cool to just fly around in a little ship. So if there is any kind of organization that doesn't have a clue or the willing to program and is really in need of somebody like me then just let me know and I may want to join your crew! See you in the game soon, I'm so excited!
  7. Hello Everyone, Let's do it short, not as usual. I am Aesir, yet an old pseudo but I like the grammar and pronunciation is fairly the same whatever your tongue. I played, like a lot of us, thousands of games of any kinds. I am 29 yo, and guess what, my first MMO was Dark age of Camelot at its very beginning i was 13 yo, not very impressive you would say. But back in that time internet was very expensive and slow as FK. Since I played a lot of MMO, not all of them, but I tried most of them (even some very bad one). So obviously yes, I played EvE online my main char was born in 2007, I still play with it from time to time. I played also Minecraft, Robocraft and other "DIY" games, I won't say Sandbox, not because I don't like the concept, but rather that what I do love is building my own machine and express my creativity with big guns (Did I say I'm a male ?). Guess what, I am a engineer in real life now, in computer science, mechanics and electronics, make sens right ? My favorite games ? Yet: Battlerite, Path of Exile (best game ever, I mean honestly the overall is fantastic), EvE Online (even if I get bored), and cooperative games in general (playing with a small team of 2 to 6 guys). And finally, I am encyclopedia man: I read, learn, know everything about the game I like, from game-play mechanics to Health point curve progress and so on. Then I do the math and optimize, in my way ... I basically spend as much time learning and doing theory-craft than as playing. I like to find the limit and play with them. Giving that, Dual Universe seems to be the prefect game for me, despite one or two things but I have the feeling that Novaquark really love their game and want to offer the best for players, that is probably the most important ingredient for a great game. So I pledged (gold :s) to the crowdfunding, probably not a wise decision, but wise decision are often boring right ? And here I am, to complain about balance, wrong gameplay direction and spit on bugs (but I'll create a ticket for all of them, no worries). See you in Game, Aesir
  8. Nice to meet you all! I'm a new member (actually a kickstarter backer but just decided to jump in the forum now) To keep things short my expected play style in this game would focus on exploration (as the title hinted), I'm keen to see Dual Universe world through and through from the landscapes, undergrounds, underwater, biomes, animals (aliens?), plants (aliens?), aliens (well yeah aliens), how they would be generated the difference between each others really intrigues me. I expect myself to be online at least 2 hours during weekdays and at least 4 hours during weekends (so sorry I still have real life, but do you notice I said "at least" *hint* *hint*) but of course it would change as time goes (whether I got hooked up with the game, or real life hits harder). Anyway, I'll be playing around 9am UTC onward if anyone is also interested in exploration I would love to explore the world with a friend Oh, I also haven't made up my mind on which organization to join.. I would of course prefer any organization that acknowledge and support works of explorer (yeah we just fly and/or move around... I know...) If anyone have specific recommendation that would be great tho (I'm currently checking the Org one by one which are amazing, some picked my interest but I'm not sure whether they accept me or not even if I apply hehe..) Regards Tero
  9. Hello, my name is twoshell and I just want people to say Hi. Hello, all I am twoshell. I am currently living in Canada and am a Gold Level Backer hoping to be probably higher soon. I am 16 and I work at McDonalds I.R.L. I also am a member of the Empire and also the Lead Website Developer for http://dualempire.com/ Thank you for reading and maybe saying Hi!
  10. Hi there folks! My username is Morkeyest. An MMO Build-a-verse, FPS, & RPG all in one, containing accessible and near-complete emergent gameplay? I imagine I'm far from nthe first to say that this game is a dream come true. Unfortunately, I currently don't have an operating system that would be able to handle what the specs of the game will probably be, but I will most definitely be investing in one. Until then, I'd love to be a part of the community and the journeys ahead. In terms of factions, a lot of the organizations' summary pages are very thorough and do contain articles of interest, so I'm wondering: if I were to apply for citizenship of a federal entity within DU, which one would you personally suggest applying to?
  11. (introduction huh.. uh..) Hi I am Levaritie! The great and all mighty and all powerfull keeper of knowlege..... waa I actualy said that, I want to crawl in a hole. Wel actualy I am just a reader of fantasy novels. lately I have discovered the addiction that is light novels and web novels from japan. I have been looking at this game for a few months now I believe since august I cant remember. since I pleged to the game I had to make a Account, wich lat me to the though "maybe I should introduce my self" so I figured why not. I am typicaly rather avoiding of crowded places, actualy any human being that has eyes. But from time to time I to crave for social interaction at those times I can be quite fun to hang out with. The rest of the time I am reading or either play games or write my own stories. If one where to ask why did you plege for Dual Universe, wel I have have hopes for Dual Universe + space is cool. I have emotional/psychological problems from time to time I refer to as "A meltdown" so if I dispear its probly that. Thats about all you need to know about me I guess. If it wasnt clear I like reading books.. so.. build libraries in your ships! Uh.. Lets get along!
  12. Hey guys I am (will be if someone doesnt take my name...) Basixx. I heard a little about what DU is and it caught my attention and I'm leaning towards backing it but.... There's clearly ALOT I don't know with regards to alpha and other (possible) in-game concepts etc. Also quite a few questions I would prefer to have answered before I back it . And one last thing, I'm open to joining a guild/clan/org as long as they are english speaking, use or plan to use discord/TS and can maybe answer most of my questions . If you wish you can find me on steam and talk to me a lil more . http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198091605577/
  13. Hello. I've been around here now for quite some time (something like 4ish months), but it occurred to me recently that I have yet to properly introduce myself. So I thought I would finally take the time to do so. This is going to be long and probably sound self-congratulatory, so sorry in advance. I will start with a quick little summary for those who don't want to read the whole thing. My name is Lord_Void (or Lord Void, depending), but pretty much everyone just calls me Void. I came to this community during the kick starter, early in September of 2016. As I looked around the community I liked what I saw, and loved the potential for the game, so I introduced some of my friends to the game. This group became Evil Inc. Eventually, we decided to join Band of Outlaws and have been a member ever since. I have made friends with many members of BOO and am extremely proud to have been made one of the Pirate Lords tasked with managing the group and serving our members. I myself am a software developer by trade, with an avid interest in history and linguistics. I currently reside in Southern California, US. I have been gaming since I was a young child, with experience in WOW, EVE, COD, Battlefield, a number of MOBAs, the Civ series, EU4, Chess, Shogi, the elder scrolls, Total War, The Witcher, and Wargame (the list goes on, but you get the idea.) I look forward to being involved in the Politics of this game, as well as recording the history and playing in the markets. I consider myself pretty friendly and open, so feel free to message me whenever for whatever. I'm always open for playing some games, or having a good discussion. Also, I would like to add, while through the course of this game I have acquired, and will likely continue to acquire, a number of "rivals" whether they be in the form of people or organizations, I consider those rivalries as part of the game, nothing more. To the people behind the screens I say: if you are a member of this community, you are my friend. Period. That's the short version. If you're just perusing you can stop there, but if you'd like to read on and can forgive my prolixity, I'm going to go a bit more in-depth, with particular focus on the events and works which shaped my way of thinking. I was born and raised in Southern California, and at a young age I took to computers for both gaming and programming. By the time high school rolled around those two fields constituted almost the entirety of my interests. I was pretty well read for my age, having been raised on the works of Asimov, Frank Herbert, Tolkien, and Robert Heinlein, plus a number of other assorted titles. Upon entering high school, I encountered several developments which would (and still do) shape my life and thinking. First of all, I encountered and read several book series which would provide a foundation for future growth. The first of the foundational series was the (coincidentally named) Foundation series by Isaac Asimov which centered around a fictional science in the distant future that combined many different fields of study in order to predict the broad trends of the future. This series stoked an interest in using historical information and political/economic analysis in order to try and predict the future course of events, an interest which continues and I hope to apply to DU. The second series was the ever-funny "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" which aside from providing a wonderful read, imbued in me a slightly ridiculous sense of humor. The third was less a series, and more a collection of books: unabridged English translations of all of Jules Verne's books which imparted the vision of the old style gentleman scholar, and handy-man adventurer. In addition to these literary acquisitions (as well as many others not listed), I was begrudgingly pressed into studying Spanish by the requirements of my school system. Over time, after about 3 years of study, I began to appreciate the ability to communicate in another language and even picked up some Russian (admittedly minor, I hope to take a few years to truly learn it someday). I decided to continue studying Spanish past the requirements of the school system and upon graduation departed to study at the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain. While there, I came across the unabridged Spanish translations of the very same Jules Verne books I had previously read, so I again traversed his corpus. I completed my coursework there and headed back to the United States. I then studied at Montana State University, attracted by both the Computer Science Department's faculty as well as by the near total contrast to my southern Californian upbringing. It was here that I received a major challenge to my existing world view. While I had always considered myself staunchly liberal growing up, a left-wing democrat to the core, the liberal ideology I encountered at MSU seemed poisoned by cognitive isolationism and more interested in categorizing ideas as heretical than actually engaging with them. Thus, with my world view in tatters and seeking answers, I retreated into the school's library and began to assemble a new world view for myself. I read as much as I could of both classical texts and more modern works, searching for counter-points to every book and having many debates with people I encountered. I eventually settled on a set of ideas that seemed to be both internally and externally consistent and provided plenty of rooms to expand and change over time, which I shall continue to refine till the day I die. I now consider myself (to put it in general terms) economically/politically conservative and socially liberal, with a strong libertarian undertone. After finishing my time in Montana I decided to move back to southern California. It was some time after this that I was bedridden for about a month following a surgery, and came across the book "China: A History" by John Keay, which I devoured. It rekindled my interest in history in addition to the economic and political theory I was mostly reading and again modified my world view. Where I had previously looked at mostly European or Eurocentric history, I now began to see the value of studying other regions and then comparing them against other regions. I added to my library a number of histories on China as well as classical Chinese texts. I decided to take a course in East Asian History at the local community college and was not disappointed. I learned how to read Korean script (more for purposes of transliteration rather than direct comprehension) and added some classical Japanese literature to my repertoire. I resolved to study Mandarin as well, so as to gain a better insight into the culture, as well as increase my ability to communicate with people in varying parts of the world. I took a break from historical study to spend some time realizing my childhood dream of becoming the rugged gentleman-adventurer like in the Verne books. I took a wilderness survival course and took training in wilderness medicine, earning the certifications necessary to become a Wilderness First Responder, so that I might participate in a local search and rescue team, as well as lead my friends on backpacking trips. Returning from that, I began my Mandarin study (and French, because why not? I'm starting to peck away at Verne's books again, this time in original French) as well as taking another course on Middle Eastern History. I continued collecting and consuming histories of various regions, slowly filling in the blank spots. While I certainly do not know everything, nor even most things if one is to look at the sheer mass of knowledge available, I consider myself to be a sort of 'historical generalist', having a wide breadth of knowledge even if it proves shallow in some areas. I am realizing now that this is starting to read a lot more like a biography than an introduction, and I apologize for that, but I am getting to my point. All throughout the previous wall of text, I played EVE. I played under a variety of names and characters, stopping and starting over the years. In the most recent iteration of this cycle, I played as a director of an up and coming little indy corp. This was the origin of the Void persona. I flew with that group for several months, taking them through wars and adventures until we eventually joined up with an old alliance out in Solitude. That went well for a few months, until a war broke the back of that already withering alliance. All of us, all of my friends, scattered in various directions with some heading to lowsec and others back to the highsec mainland. I headed off into nullsec where I was picked up by my beloved TEST Alliance. During this time I marveled at the complexity of the world of EVE and its history. I read "Empires of EVE" by Andrew Groen and bemoaned the fact that I hadn't been there since the beginning. I wished that I could have been there in the beginning, to help shape the world or at least to see the pivotal changes as they occurred. It was like all of the real world history that I had read, and all of the politically and economic theory I had studied was embodied in the comparatively fast paced world of internet spaceships. It was a separate world that could be compared to our real one as the various regions can be compared against each other. I promised myself that if I ever had an opportunity to get in on the beginning of something great like that, I would. That I would throw myself into it. When I first saw Dual Universe I thought it looked stupid. I really did. I thought it looked like a cheap EVE knock-off and didn't give it a second glance. This must have been the first advertising campaign before the kick starter, or even before the forums existed, in those pre-historic times you occasionally hear some of the oldest members of our community speak of. In short, I ignored it and carried on in EVE. It was only when the kick starter came and I again saw the ads for the game that I realized my mistake. This was a chance to get in on the beginning, not to mention that upon closer inspection the game mechanics showed a lot of potential. This was a game I would enjoy playing. I quickly signed up. I showed a number of my friends and together we formed Evil Inc. We resolved to remain independent and build our own empire, handling everything from industry and trade to warfare and exploring, with me as the CEO (Chief Evil Officer), but over time we realized that this was not the best path to take, especially not this early in the game's life. We also realized that we had a bit of an image problem. Coming from the dark, sarcastic humor of TEST, and the dry ridiculousness of Hitchhiker's Guide, the somewhat over-serious tone that most organizations had (and still have) contrasted sharply with our experience in EVE. Surely, we figured, others must feel the same and will be drawn to a group that can provide the proper mix or sarcasm and intellect. So we decided to take the opposite approach that most groups in DU took: instead of declaring we are the good guys who are going to preserve order and peace, we advertised ourselves as the bad guys, the "evil" ones, and this image would contrast with our actual supportive and good natured reality. The sarcasm was supposed to be self-evident (there is even a tv trope listed as "Evil, inc.", look it up), but sadly I think many people missed that. In the end it doesn't really matter though. We decided that the best way to proceed would be to join up with one of the existing groups in Dual Universe. As the CEO I talked with many people from various groups: Cinderfall Syndicate, Terran Union, Band of Outlaws, The Empire, and several others. They were all very nice and made us feel very welcome. We were even leaning heavily towards joining the Terran Union. But in the end, Cybrex won us over with his personality and organizational vision, as well as his EVE background. We joined BOO and as previously stated I now have the honor of being one of the Pirate Lords, working to serve BOO. Evil Inc. is now mostly a group devoted to financial services and scholarship, and sits awaiting Alpha and Beta to kick off. As my time here as progressed, I have had the privilege of watching many changes occur in the community. Some might call these inconsequential, but even the slightest happenings here in this historical epoch, which I have personally taken to calling "The Great Debate", will have large ramifications later on post-release. This is why I went through the long-winded tail of my love affair with history and social sciences (somewhat literally as my lovely lady is a sociologist lol). I wanted to introduce myself to you all, and I believe the part of me that will be most manifest here is my interest in humanity, in the past and its relationship with the future. Plus, (all this other stuff aside) videogames are incredibly fun, which is the real reason we are all here. In this light, I have been working on compiling a history of the community and will be maintaining this record as time goes on. A number of people have already been kind enough to lend their perspectives to this work, and I thank them for it. Even this far from Alpha, I feel like this community has given me enough content to make my pledge worth it. So there we have, my overly long and far too detailed introduction. Thank you all and Happy Holidays! Fly Safe o7 -Lord_Void
  14. Hello. I've been here for several weeks, so it's time I got around to introducing myself. If the name I tried to reserve is approved, I'm Ben Fargo. I'm very excited about DU. Everything I've heard about it agrees with my concept of what an MMO should be. My goal in DU is to build a ship, a small to medium sized cargo vessel. For the ship, I've started an organization called the Blue Moon Crew. Unlike a lot of organizations, which are corporations or empires, it will be much more limited, just the crew of this one ship. Every member of the crew will also be a co-owner of the ship. So far, I am the only member, but ideally I would like to have about three to five people in it. I'm also a member of the Cinderfall Syndicate. The Blue Moon will be an independent ship, not part of any fleet, but that independence will be based on developing strong relationships with other organizations and players. It will need facilities for building it, then cargo to carry, places to dock, protection from pirates and probably many things I have not thought of yet. If the Blue Moon Crew sounds interesting, please consider joining. If you've any questions about it, I'd be happy to answer them.
  15. Hello, everyone! I just figured that I would drop a quick note in here to introduce myself. As you no doubt have already ascertained, I'm Tren. I'm a professional voice actor in the San Francisco Bay Area. I tend to lean toward video games and audiobook narration, but I do just about anything. I am a HUGE fan of deep, rich crafting systems and I really hope that DU has something like that. Gathering simple materials to make simple tools with which to gather and process more advanced materials...yadda yadda...et cetera et cetera. Not many have the patience for it, but I find it enjoyable. Then again, I am also the sort of person who rather enjoys the simple mechanic of managing a garden and cooking. I've never been much for combat. I can do it if I have to, I'm just not very good at it. At heart, I'm an explorer and a crafter. That's what I enjoy. That's what I try to stick to. I think that'll do for an initial intro. I look forward to working with you all to make this the best game possible!
  16. Hello! Currently in school on a Sunday doing some intensive studying for exams. As the master procrastinator that i am i realized that i have not posted a introduction yet so i thought lets do it! I wont be to personal other then that i am 29 years old, from Sweden and studying to get a "Degree of Master of Science in Engineering: Computer Engineering" which sounds A LOT more fancy than it really is. My gaming history i can sum up with CS 1.6 for 5-6 years and then a lot of sandbox MMORPG:s. A favorite for me has always been Wurm Online which i have played on and off for almost 10 years. I have also played some EVE Online other sandbox MMORPG:s. The usual cookie cutter WOW clones has never been my cup of tea. I hade never been a backer on kickstarter before but an add on Facebook (of all places) for Dual Universe peaked my interest and here i am. I wonder what made their ads suggest Dual Universe for me. I am currently "kind of" looking for a organization. I had a plan of creating my own organization before but i don't want to be the only leader and sadly i dont know anyone else in this community (yet). I have been semi-working on a website for said organization but it is a learn by doing project that i am not even sure that i will be using because as i said i might just end up joining a organization. This part is for any potential recruiters or people interested in maybe starting organization. The kind of organization i am looking to be a member of is not a friendly organization but not a ruthless one either. I thinking of a organization that wants to fight for world dominance and dont mind stepping on any toes doing so. An organization that wants to expand and conquer and not being afraid to spill the blood of people standing in our way. "Be on our side and you will profit greatly, stand in our way and you will be exterminated.". So any organizastions out there with a similar mindset or any people out there that maybe want to create a organizastion with this kind of mindset? Send me a PM! - Zorac
  17. Hello all, I'm just dropping by to say hi, I've been a member of the discord group for a while now, but never got around to hitting the forum. I'm a youtuber and will be, when I get my hands on it, doing videos on Dual Universe, so get yourself sub'd now if you like watching gameplay videos! https://www.youtube.com/c/BladeofAkire I backed enough for alpha, so looking forward to that day when it transitions from pre-alpha to alpha. I've been enjoying watching the construction videos, I find them strangely therapeutic!! Anyhow, I'll leave it there for now! {aB;}
  18. Well, since I'm starting to become a real included member in this community, I thought I say a few things about myself. My name is Simon, I'm 20 years old, live and Germany and am currently studying IT, but am looking for a trainee position because university is not for me... Anyway, my hobbies include videogames, coding, fantasy literature and watching My little Pony, my favorite music is metal and Nightcore and in the end I spend way too much time on the internet. EDIT: Also, my love for huge walls and underground shelters that stretch for miles is unrivaled... Simon Volcanov CEO of the Volcanov Corporation
  19. Hello there! I'm Commander Shepard, and I'm very excited for Dual Universe. I've always enjoyed games that allowed for building and customization. Space Engineers has soaked up many of my hours. I've always felt a bit limited by the blocks and scale of things in games like that though. The smaller voxel sizes in this game, combined with changing angles, cutting holes etc...has me pretty stoked. Now combine all that with taking my creations up into space to explore the stars excites the heck out of me! I look forward to enjoying this amazing universe with you all!
  20. Hello all I am in the process of building a network of Orgs built to help make a region of space a bit more livable. The first two I've built are the Free Lancers and the Squires, but there will be more to come. The Free Lancers are a mercenary organization geared towards the PVP aspects of the game, but are not just soldiers of fortune. Free Lancers will independently pursue contracts in Defense, Law Enforcement, and War, and will do so in accordance with territorial law (within reason). Working together with orgs like the Terran Union, the Free Lancers will help keep outer colonies safe for a profit and will be a great home for anyone who wants to get in on some space battles without mindlessly griefing or piracy. As the allied orgs tied to the Free Lancers continue to grow, there may be entire colonies affiliated with these organizations, so there will be plenty of opportunities for work that directly assists your neighbors. The Squires will work closely with the Free Lancers, mining and providing refined goods on a monthly basis in-exchange for a DAC. The Free Lancers themselves will have the option to take on Squires to provide the goods needed to keep their ships and bases running. Each Squire can take on one contract per month, for a fairly large quantity of material harvested in a legal way, in exchange for that Squire's monthly subscription. This org is geared towards players that don't want to spend a monthly amount to pay the game, and don't mind putting in a few hours to cover it. These contracts will be negotiated in a way that it will be a better deal for the Squire than trying to sell their ore for in-game currency and work the market for a DAC, and far less hassle. In the future, allied orgs such as the Terran Union may even opt to take on Squires if there is enough demand. Since this contract structure is designed to cover the subscription for these players, they cannot take on more than one of these contracts per 30 days. I plan to develop an organization for Research & Development, another for Colonization, and eventually a New Player Recruitment and Training organization that will effectively serve as a charity, creating "tutorial" contracts for new players to help teach them the ropes, get them enough items to become stable, and funnel them into the Squires, Colonization, Freelancers, or an allied org depending on their play style. (and yes, I'll be re-working the logos)
  21. As a result of a genetic experiment my character was too valuable to leave on earth so he was snuck onto an ark-ship in a hidden cryo compartment set aside for the other experiments scientists wanted to preserve from earth. The energy heading to earth certainly would wipe out all human knowledge so some of it had to be preserved somehow with this knowledge stored on advanced crystalline shards ( future computing tech capable of storing teraflops of data ) . when the arkship reaches a hopefully colonizable world all the systems rebbot but something goes wrong the ship explodes the schilding of the cryo pods somehow protected the slumbering humans and in the hidden compartment the exploding shrapnel and heat of electrical fires causes the halon system to activate and jettison all the cryo pods that automatically revive all the humans and Me, looking up at the sky for the first time i see the outdoors being locked away in a science laboratory all my life i never experienced the breath of unprocessed air the feeling of the wind as it whispers though my fur and feel a single drop of liquid as tears roll down my face what lays in store for me now....
  22. First of all let me start out in saying I would have come around to this sooner rather than later in part due towards a few "unplanned" health issues that have placed me out of action and MIA for about a month. Anyway enough of focusing on the past. . . lets get to why we are all here. . . Introduction: I am Wilks Checkov; and yes that is my real name, and before you or anyone else asks - I am not related to a Pavel Chekov, the character on Star Trek. I am a 43 year old USAF veteran that happens to love grand o space operas. If it has to do with space / science fiction I usually love it. Most of my time currently is divided between my daughter and my six month old grandson, and my other life long passion: Eve Online, of which I have played almost religiously since the 2003 Castor patch release. Other than that my time is divided between games like Space Engineers and the up and coming release of Star Citizen. In watching E3 this year I happened to come across the last few minutes of the demo video for a little known title called Dual Universe, and as usual it caught my eye, being in a genre that I love greatly. So after some research I found the website, did some heavy reading on the forums, and decided to come over here and support the community as this title holds quite a lot of promise if they can actually pull it off. While we wait on on the devs to get us a game going I will be taking time to get our corporate establishment up and running as well as devising a system of government from scratch. If you or your corporation are interested in joining up feel free to let me or one of our corporate recruiters know. For now, during the coming weeks and months I hope to get to know you all, and I am looking forward to seeing you on the flip side. Sincerely. . . Wilks Checkov
  23. Hi everyone, I am Dociel. Thank you for your attention. Ok, that was the very short and lazy version! For the longer, read below. A bit about me, bullet point and random style: - I love sci-fi (books, movies, games, you name it) - I am getting (too) close to 30 y.o. - I live in Ireland, but am French of birth. - I was a huge fan of CCP Dust514 until the shutdown of its server this year. - I ride a Half-Bike, and that is as cool as it is dangerous. - I am waiting to play No Man's Sky, which will allow me to wait for DU!!! (plus DU is a french developing team for once! #proud) - I am learning to prepare awesome meat marinades and rhum arrange. - I got a basic ship for Star Citizen, but the feeling is not the same as for NMS or DU. It's a "pay to see", sort of. - I am the sort of person that is having a lot of projects and ideas, but never actually does them. - My favorite color is orange. - I dream of building a cloud city in DU, and will probably end up drifting naked in space. Well, I guess that's it for now! Cheers, Dociel
