  1. I guess we will have to make sure all future spokespeople are loyal. Still, spending real money to poke us? That makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.
  2. I have already figured out how to power it and how to make it handle corners. Like a TGV each car end would have articulation connecting it to the other using rotors. To provide power, overhead gantries (like on most electrified railways in real life) would be constructured and a pantrograph in the direction of travel would connect up with it if possible. If that isnt, then we had better hope the beams provide the power, otherwise the trains will have to use an onboard power source (which would mean it would have to be locomotive driven like earlier TGV's and British Rail era HST's)
  3. You clearly underestimate the barbarity of some groups. Just look at my pact proposal and you will see there are people who love the destruction of other peoples hard work... a space elevator would be a very tempting target.
  4. Vulture Corporation would support a racing league. And we would certainly build some ultra quick craft for use in such events.
  5. We never said that this would be forced upon every group. Members of the pact would take it upon themselves to follow it, and condemn those outside of it who use such barbarism as wiping out entire cities. Those who follow it will show themselves to be better than those outside of it. Also, to a certain detractor, piracy is already an illegal act upon the nation groups, and if he wants to proactively go after pirates, then he should do so. We are not going to join him unless they give us a reason to. Nor would we approve of his likely tactics. The only thing we will enforce outside of the pact groups is the ban on superweapons. Their existance is a threat to all, including those who have built them.
  6. Throughout history, order and chaos have battled for domination. Through superior tactics, technology and weaponry, order can bring peace and prosperity... However order brought through fear and oppression can be a breeding ground for chaos. A balance between order and freedom has to be sought, and at Vulture Corporation our security personnel are that balance. We strive to forward human civilization and our security division is part of that goal.
  7. Vulture Corporation is committed to the advancement of civilization and the betterment of the human race. We proposed this pact to ensure safe places for induviduals to thrive, and to limit damage to the few green planets. The freedom of choice and the freedom to enjoy your existence without fear of destruction is important. Yes this pact cannot cover non-signers territory, or those of non-signers who are at war (although we can strongly condemn them) but we can certainly oppose superweapons and oppose strip mining on other green worlds, neutrality on Alioth and banning bombardment of civilian cities. There's other ways of taking out military and governmental facilities within cities than just orbital bombardments. But then perhaps people protesting that part lack the tactical initiative to realise that or plan such.
  8. Whilst not necessarily a peace pact, this will stop early cities being blitzed into oblivion by a group that went straight to building orbital bombardment ships. It might be more difficult later on to continue policing such a pact, but its worth it to help newer players/lone players and to maintain the quality of green worlds and the cities built upon them. However, and I think many will agree here, Alioth should be enshrined as a neutral world for all to enjoy, a world for embassies and bazaars where everyone can feel safe. This pact could be expanded for that.
  9. Nobody should be forced into anything specially at the barrel of a giant laser cannon.
  10. Well, the rules would be enforced by fleets drawn from pact members, and would target military and governmental assets only. If the rebels could defeat the death star (twice) then so can we.
  11. The worry that I have for the game is a big powerful (and very evil) group building a superweapon and laying waste to en entire city. A city where many players, who are not aligned to a faction, will have scrimped and saved and got themselves a couple of decent ships and a reasonable home and really worked hard... and in a second for it to be curb stomped by a group they can do nothing against.
  12. I propose that a pact is formed between groups of all types whereby we agree to minimise damage to infrastructure, ecosphere and civilians in any form of conflict, and to seek to limit strip mining of habitable planets. This would include a ban on (and an agreement to oppose including with force) superweapons capable of destroying large areas or entite continents or planets. A ban on weapons which litter an area with indiscriminate killing objects, including mines of all types. A limit on mining on planets which are very habitable by humans. A ban on city bombardments where civilians are present, and a ban on destroying infrastructure such as space elevators and other public travel methods. These are just a few ideas that I have to help maintain peace and prevent damage to green worlds and their inhabitants. If anyone would like to add anything else or sign up to discuss the pact, please do comment.
  13. I have had experiance with rennovating and adding to a space station on Space Engineers. I will say however, that whilst a space elevator might be possible it will also cripple many peoples computers and may lead to many avoiding Emberstone and its orbital facility and may end up being removed by admins. Might I suggest that space to ground is handled by shuttles (and ground based spaceports could be rented out or given to certain groups)
  14. Vulture Corporation has no interest in territory in the traditional sense... but an off limits/secret R&D facility would be beneficial. We will mostly have trade outposts, shipyards, jump gate waystations, store outlets and most importantly our corporate HQ in places owned by nation like groups. We exist to better the universe and push human civilization forward. And we will work with anyone who shares that goal.
  15. Greetings; You might find Star Citizen being worth getting back into soon though, watch their live streams during Gamescom, particuarly the one during the Friday from 8pm to midnight CEST.
  16. Well 2.7 will introduce much of the Stanton system and trading, so should be a good chance to practice.
  17. Greetings; Thanks, yeah, we have some seriously talented people among us, and anything we can't produce, we simply outsource to our contacts. Vulture Corporation is slowly growing. We prefer quality over quantity so carefully select who we let in and selectively recruit, after all the best members are ones who fit in. Star Citizen is going through its alpha economy phase. Trading and mining will be coming soon where we hope that our trade and resourcing fleet will grant us the resources to maintain our defensive forces. This will also allow us to see how different types of ships work, and base some of our own off of those ships once Dual Universe launches. I myself on Star Citizen have a Caterpillar, two Buccaneer's, a Sabre and a Dragonfly (for when I want to zip across planets, and will always be stowed aboard my Cat) and I intend on using the Cat and the two Bucc's regularly, with the two fighters being flown by other people or AI. That selection of ships may have had an impact on what I am planning for our ship range here. If I remember to I will go and download Discord at some point. Never used it before. Although I am also a developer on an Arma 3 Takistan and Tanoa Life mod community working on the maps so that keeps me quite busy.
  18. So this is sort of a ship showroom/sales outlet/franchise/thing? Looks interesting. Sort of like Astro Armada in Star Citizen?
  19. Like what we say to all other federations, republics and other democratic forms of interplanetary governments, Vulture Corporation (and its various corporate and industrial partners) is able to design and develop various classes of ships, from drone fighters, advanced superiority fighters, transports all the way up to small scale (at first) frigates and light carriers. Our ethos is by providing all democratic governments the ability to purchase our designs, or order more advanced using their own research if more advanced, we might garuntee as many civilians as possible the right to freedom and democracy across the galaxy. We will be selling access to blueprints, which means that once you aquire the blueprint the more ships you build, the cheaper each unit is (of course you will need to gather resources... I believe Chromium Industrial will be well equipped for that, and is one of our partners for larger scale projects including space stations and jump gates) I hope you choose to do business with us, and we hope to provide your federation with an excellent array of space craft. Steve Corporate Facilities Manager and Cheif Product Developer Vulture Corporation
  20. Sounds like you guys are after (And think exists) a Dyson Sphere.
  21. An interesting group. We at Vulture Corporation will have to keep our eye on this. We will obviously need resources and even freelance researchers to develop and prototype our designed spacecraft, so your members may find that being part of an organisation like this (if they want to remain alone but connected) will serve them well. We wish you and your group the best of luck. Steve, Corporate Facilities Manager and Chief Product Manager for Vulture Corporation Formerly of Freelancer Traders Guild.
  22. Interesting, a direct rival to Vulture Corporation. I look forward to seeing who builds the best ships!
  23. People are not interested in flags. People join empires because they believe the message of its emperor.
