It would be an interesting feature if we could find a tree or any fona and have the ability to move it or transplant it.

Currently our mining and program divisions have been established. For those seeking position in either catagory who wish to take on a position with less responsibility. Cerberus can now provide a greater range of options and flexible schedule to fit your needs. This currently extends for programming and mining at this time.

Oh yes I am very aware of the current "quality" of the game right now. I still like that the NDA stands as a barrier from full disclosure. Though, I strongly believe all current alpha and beta testers deserve access to the NDA sections and information. Because right now, the "public" sections that are not tied behind a paywall are fairly dead overall and the sections covered under NDA are very active. Everyone who is here now, is here to support the game. How the devs believe slowly allowing NDA access too everyone currently involved in supporting the game; will somehow preserve future hype is beyond me. Because everyone here, has already paid to boost the game's success.

In my humble opinion, the devs are only annexing the large majority of their fan base by not including everyone in the NDA discussions. But somehow in a couple months that same information will be magically okay to view and comment about? Like I said, beyond me and my practical line of thought.

I am glad the NDA stands, it helps to build hype for the game. It is also directly why some or even most triple A game titles sell so well at launch.

Given how the decent ships cost hundreds and up to thousands of real world money and how the game has progressed little from what was originally promised back in 2011. Star Citizen just seems like a glorified cash grab that continues to dangle the carrot in front of people with small new features to keep them interested or draw in more people. I get why some people are so hopeful for SC and that is because they have sank incredible amounts of personal money into it.  The game has profited hundreds of millions from people and it still provides so little in return. But hey, as soon as you give them that next $100 the game will be better. Then the next $100 will actually get the game done and it remains a never ending loop of just a little more. I hope people enjoy paying for those expensive cars and housing the creators of SC now have. Because surely those items will make the game better, and hey just a little more help in donations will get the game done, they promise. ?

Oh wow. Well I at least have a better understanding on how your seeing that. Thank you for clarifying that btw mate. I am going to try to elaborate as best as I can on that. That was totally not the message I wanted to put out. I don't rock and roll that way and that's not what I am about. I'll try to do my best to clarify on my end some.

Since 2015 which I won't go back no more then 3 years because I don't consider a 3 year old PC to be old IMO. It's safe to say we had a huge jump or spike rather in what we can upgrade our rigs to. It went from 8 gigs of ram to 16 and then 32 and now you got rigs out there with as much as 192 gigs of ram. Now that's crazy, but it exists. lol Now video cards you can get them from 1 gig on up to 12 gigs maybe even more, but the latest titles being released minimum specs 2 gigs and that's just to start off. Big difference from 2015 in just that short time frame.

The point I was actually trying to make is not everyone is going to be able to keep up with that pace. Not with the economy the way it is today. That's not even touching the OS because and speaking for myself now as well on this one. There is a lot of us gamers who absolutely will not touch Windows 10. So for just as many people who do like it there are just as many out there that do not. I always found limiting a game to one operating system to be extremely restrictive.

Take Entropia Universe for example. This is a mmo game that has been around for years. On max settings this game looks just as beautiful and polished as the game play videos I have seen of Dual Universe. Yet this game can be scaled down to run on lower end pc's if need be by tweaking the settings for performance. I would ask how could that not be more appropriate for what DU wants to achieve? The goal is to create a massive virtual universe. What could be more necessary in doing that then creating one that can reach the masses?

At the end of the day they will do whatever it is they decide to do. Now myself personally I am ok with which ever way the wind blows on this. I probably should have just made up a random example instead in order to make my point because unless I am asked I do not speak for anyone other then myself. I do put points of views out there I think other people may have. I was tossing numbers out there as an example of what could happen and my goal was to show that if they opened themselves to considering this avenue then those people who may not have the cash for a new pc will more then likely at least be able to afford and be more then happy to part with that $15 bucks a month subscription fee to play your awesome game and it will generate you extra cash flow and funding for further development of your game. So rather then loosing X amount your actually opening yourself to making X amount toward this goal. Which at the end of the day that is what it is all about.

Anyway I am going to stop right here before this turns in to much much more of a book. lol I did want to break it down some more though where my head was at on this mate and I am kind of hoping that maybe I expressed myself a little bit better this time around. lol I do get where your coming from and I understand it. I am sure I have even said the same with other types of games out there. Given this is an mmo however and one I see alot of potential in which I haven't said that about one in years lol I felt the idea was at the very least worth mentioning. I also wanted to say thank you so much for the clarification on how you read that because that was so not the message I wanted to send. lol Also thank you for the holiday cheer mate and I hope you and yours have a very Merry Christmas as well too my friend.

I would disagree with this, firstly because I love mining.  So do a lot of other people, I used to be a casual miner in Eve.  Was part of a mining corp who would message me if they were going out on a job and I would join them if I was up for it.  Several others in the corp did the same thing, sometimes would go every week, sometimes once a month.

The same goes with hauling, most people might find it boring but I have mates who have played Elite since launch and has pretty much spent the whole game hauling goods.  They are more than happy shipping stuff through galaxies whilst watching Netflix.

People enjoy doing different things, I see a 'casual' player as someone who is keen on doing a certain task (be it mining, building, pvp), when they are around but not really keen on the bigger picture stuff or having to commit specific time.

What I am not talking about is signing up casuals and forcing them to mine, I mean finding casual miners and giving them a role and the tools to do it.

geronimo553 reacted to NQ-Nyzaltar in Can someone explain it to me?
    Hi everyone,

As an exceptional case, we are replying this topic, even if it’s closed, to avoid any misunderstanding. As an exceptional case, as the involved user has explicitly asked for public explanation and the customer support agrees with it, we are in a situation where both parties agree to make it public, so it doesn't break the confidentiality policy. We also want to share this as an example that things don't happen for no reason (and in the case of an error, we are ready to fix it).

Just to put things in perspective:
    - Emtec3PL account wasn't suspended regarding the game (the account has never lost his rights to play the game when the time will come).
    - Emtec3PL account wasn't suspended on the forum and was still able to contact Community Managers in private.
    - Emtec3PL account was suspended on Customer Support side.

    The situation:
    - Emtec3PL pledged 1 euro as a symbolic donation during Kickstarter campaign (in which case it was clear it was a donation, with no rewards attached to it).
    - Emtec3PL pledged then an Iron Founder Pack after the Kickstarter campaign, which has been upgraded as a Silver Pack shortly after.
    - As explained in the news on our website here the access time, depending on the founder level, was pretty clear and self explanatory:
All Kickstarter Founder Backers get access at Alpha 1.  Post-Kickstarter Founder Backers get access at the earliest at Alpha 2. Emtec3PL becomes a Founder Backer after the Kickstarter campaign, first as an Iron Founder, than as a Silver Founder, so he's rightfully considered as a Post-Kickstarter Backer and will get access Alpha 2. Emtec3PL contested that fact and asked repeatedly to Customer Support for an access to Alpha 1. Novaquark Customer Support denied the request and explained why. The last answer from Emtec3PL to the Customer Support was the following:

Emtec3PL sent this reply because he will have access to Alpha 2 (as planned), and not immediately (as he wanted). Obviously there was no possible discussion anymore, and as part of the process for harassment prevention, the account has been suspended on the customer support side. If Emtec3PL is willing to come back to a more constructive discussion, the account can be unsuspended.

This example might be useful to put in light how we manage customer service here at Novaquark. Globally there are two schools of customer service:

The old school: "Customer is king."
This vision implies that no matter how the customer behaves, the customer service agent needs to endure and gives satisfaction to the customer. In our eyes, this way of doing things is relevant as long as customers and customer service agents behave with mutual respect.

However, with internet promoting anonymity and online interaction, a growing number of customers started to consider mutual respect as being optional and/or lost focus that the customer service agent at the other end of the line is a human being, not a machine, and he/she is there to help, not to endure someone else's anger or frustration. Having daily customers being rude or threatening can damage a team morale, especially when rudeness or threat is undeserved.

Customer Support is not an outlet for customers to let their frustration run wild.
It's a place to answer customer questions and help them when they have a technical issue.
Some people would easily throw there: "Hey it's part of the job. If they can't handle it, they can find another job" or the famous “HTFU” (which is perfectly fine in a game where a part of the fun is to compete to see who is the toughest guy. It’s less fine when it applies to your real life where you can’t log out) Our answer to this is "No, it's not part of the job, unless it has been decided that way by the company. It's not up to the customer to decide this part."

At Novaquark we value Customer satisfaction as much as Employee well-being.
The reasons? We don't want the job of anyone becoming a chore because we aren’t interested in burnouts and high turnovers, and also because we are convinced that, having people less stressed and less harassed than the average in the industry will benefit indirectly to the Customers themselves. So we won't encourage negative behavior from some customers, quite the contrary, by applying consequences to this kind of behavior.

To put it simply, we are following the other school:
"Customer is king... but even a king has its limits."
We will always do our best to satisfy a customer as long as:
    - the request/demand is reasonable and motivated by common sense.
    - the request/demand is made in a respectful manner.

    Best Regards,
    Nyzaltar.

That space engineers promo was just Keen saying "oh, this would be cool" and halfheartedly implementing it (like a lot of the stuff they do).  When they made the switch to DX11, it broke (along with all of the other external code) and then never bothered updating it.  The script for that is floating around somewhere, and you can still use it on blueprints from the DX9 version.

This should be something technically doable for DU (and 'relatively' uncomplicated).  I think the big issue for 3D exporting from NQ's perspective will be any copyright/IP issues.

geronimo553 got a reaction from FreeklancerX in Camera elements that can link to screens
I really like the idea of setting up a camera system and linking cameras to a monitor somewhere. This is (sort of) a feature in space engineers and it has helped the game in so many ways. Just be sure to allow the camera to rotate when viewing!  Though to save on game processing resources, I think it would best for these camera feeds to not be constantly live broadcasting on a screen itself. Instead a person would need to press a button to view the camera feed.

Additionally the camera could also be mounted on crafts for better visibility when in use. In space engineers it is common to use cameras on fighters because it helps the pilot to see so much more during combat.

Yes, the meaning is that the agreement let both parties be able to collaborate, from that moment, in further developments and ways (by mutual consensus, point 6) from the basis of what is established in the signed text.
Glad to see people interested in technical language, appreciating this type of language that, if well used, makes agreements and communications more clear and precise, working then as more useful and effective tools for a good and safer interaction among people and organizations.
