I recommend adding more information about your organization. To me, it sounds like you are some kind of banking/economic organization.

What the developers mean by "No automated mining" is that there will be no way to script a machine, using LUA, to automatically go out, and mine for you. I'm not sure whether or not we'll have drills on ships, I don't see why there wouldn't be. If asteroid mining is going to be a thing, (Which no one has officially mentioned that I am aware of.) then we will be needing drills.

Thank you for your response. This isn't at all similar to CSYN though, as we aim to have a bit more involvement with our member organizations to help them plot their path. As well, we offer web services while CSYN plans to be based more in-game and doesn't want to host for individual organizations.

ODS Ganymede, prototype and lead ship of the Ganymede Class Assault Frigate, operating ahead flank propulsion during mobility trials near the Haedus Terminal shipyards, Alioth system. In concert are a flight of Valgard Class space superiority fighters, tasked with monitoring the test and gathering telemetry for later analysis. The trial was a success, and the Ganymede Class went on to become a mainstay sub-capital combat ship within several ODY affiliated entities. The vessel represented a significant evolution of compact, lightweight structural design and armor doctrine
 
 
Here is my submission. This was a lot of fun to make, and my first Blender project so I'm glad this contest gave me an excuse to learn it. 
Credit to Sgt.Toothpaste for helping me out by making the particle effects for the engine trails and adding a colorful description. 

Here we go, came up with this over the period of a few days. I've been busy these last few weeks, so ordinarily I would have had it done in less then a day. Anyhow, bask in it's greatness.

Only picked up vectors two weeks ago or so. Still working on them lens flares, but otherwise I'm pretty happy with myself. I'd appreciate some feedback!

Planets in Dual Universe are nowhere near life-sized. They are, however, bigger then Space Engineers's planets.  
In comparison, they are smaller then our moon.

So, let me just tell you all. I've talked to JC. All your assumptions are completely unfounded.
 
It is true that we need to have concerns, but this is only alpha. Not to mention, if you took the time to research this and educate yourself before making this thread, you couldn't argue this. There have been plenty of points in the past where they have showed gameplay footage on their youtube channel. The fact that you can come on here, argue about the campaign, and then spout all this is stupid.

Now, if you're going to argue any more, take a look and watch everything in there. If you are going to argue that they aren't making their point, well then this obviously isn't the game for you.
 
The reason I am so readily able to discuss this is due to the fact that people who are looking to stop backing Dual Universe or argue that other shouldn't back this are a complete hinderance to the community. I do not care if you're arguing about the fact that the Kickstarter isn't what you want it to be or whatever, your opinion doesn't count more than the next person. So instead of criticising Novaquark and the community, maybe ask some questions and we'll be more than happy to give you answers. The more you ask reasonably, the better.

On a serious note, big ass mecha-suits are a possibility. Ungine does support moving parts. Such as rotors, springs, hinges, etc. Theoretically, it is possible. How will it perform? Hopefully, better than that in Space Engineers.
