  1. I was always in limbo and playing on and off since alpha release. I want to do things in DU, but I won't be doing anything other than testing new features until the decision about a wipe. I think with the Athena update it could actually qualify as a "Beta" finally.
  2. I tried the first part of the FTUE and it is very nice compared to what it was before, has the basic info and gets you started pretty quickly.
  3. I think they're all an improvement. Underwater refraction could be more realistic.
  4. IMO a wipe after release is not acceptable, they have to commit. They don't have to wipe now but the beta tag authorizes it. I'd just like them to revamp planets and manufacturing for release.
  5. Seems like a wipe would be acceptable by most as long as blueprints and talent points are kept. Some may leave, but others announced a return after a wipe. It's a last chance for NQ to get things right, or at least better. No more wipes after that.
  6. Go ahead and wipe everything but blueprints, fix past mistakes and make release as best as can be. Based on the points made that sounds like the best option. As long as blueprints are revamped to make it easer to redeploy static constructs it should be fine. I don't care if skill points are reset to 0, keeping all skill points might be too advantageous, but keeping a percentage of them or capping them might be a good compromise. If a few people leave because they lost their alpha/beta progress then so be it, best to appeal to new players.
  7. That's just normal mmorpg things, I haven't played that many mmorpgs but things like that happen in every one
  8. Yeah I think they mentioned in the past that it will not come before release. I think it will come eventually but I wish it was sooner.
  9. No you need another blueprint. Otherwise you can try and reverse engineer the factory layout from scratch on your own core and blueprint that.
  10. Not really enthused about yet another resource as a pvp device. Everything else sounds good but is mostly improvements. I want some meaty updates like AvA and some survival mechanics or something.
  11. L hover engines is something I could see doubled, or XL sized ones
  12. No my largest air ship has 6 large stabilizers. But large size ailerons and wings would be nice. Beyond that I think that's what anti-grav is for.
  13. I don't think many of them need a change, but I think rocket power could be increased. The engine variant stats could maybe be updated, some don't have good use cases. I've always used as few elements as possible and haven't had any issues, so I think people will still use lots of elements no matter what, just because they can.
  14. I don't have as many cores, but this is what I plan to do, as it takes the least talent point investment.
  15. I just pretended the limits always existed and built accordingly, cause why would I expect it to stay broken forever
  16. Inactive construct requisitioning should work almost anywhere to some extent, if they are truly abandoned by an unsubbed account. There are a lot of abandoned dynamic cores in space and on planets that have been around for a year or more.
  17. I'm not sure what it's like mining on outer planets and keeping up with taxes, but it's pretty easy on Alioth to profit, especially with T1.
  18. There are still Malachite tiles on Alioth if you want to make space fuel there.
  19. Sounds like you're making it hard on yourself. I have one account mining 7 tiles in one location, mostly T1 and am 50 mil in profit so far. I spend an average of 25 minutes a day with calibrations. And I'm thinking about stopping MUs in the future to focus on building on HQ tiles and space stations, maybe some asteroid mining when I feel like it.
  20. I stopped mining T2 on my tiles and replaced with T1 mining unit where I could.
  21. According to this: https://www.dualuniverse.game/news/devblog-territory-upkeep "Requisitioning will start a two-week window where the new territory owner must allow access to the static construct for the former owner and where the former owner of the static construct is able to remove that static construct by dismantling and removing it from the territory."
  22. You could try asking the owner to dig to it or give you permission to dig since they are supposed to allow access to your cores. Otherwise make a support ticket and see what they say.
