On the new Thades moons/asteroids,  you might want to enable jetpack usage (similar to mineable asteroids) as simply jumping will send you shooting off into space with no way to slow your ascent.

That is correct. At present, the pre-alpha times are limited to a few time-slots throughout the week. I would expect a similar course for alpha testing availability times.
