  1. You should join an organization. Do thus because it will help the organization be organized to organize the organization helping organize the organization organize the people in turn which will organize the people organizing the files for the Arkship organizers organizing the shit. Is that a digging? Is he organizing the organizers organizing the files organizing the organizers organizing the files for the Arkship warp drives and organizing the drive for the organizational structural organizers who are currently organizing the organizers? What will happen when this cycle of organizing stops? I think that the organizers will stop organize g the organizers in turn resulting in an organizational orgasm.
  2. Hey there. I have had a continued presence on the forum for about 3 months, but I never properly introduced myself. I'm Dr_Rhino. I came up with my name because I couldn't think of anything else to change my Minecraft name to, so I stuck with if. Some of my friends called me Rhino too. I have had my eye on this game for about half a year, although I'm not exactly sure when I discovered this game. It was sometime near the end of the original Crowdfunding period. I'm pretty sure I was looking for alternatives to No Man's Sky, or just space games in general, but that's besides the point. When I first discovered this game, I immediately started having fantasies about it and what you could do in it. I even made up an epic battle in my head. However, being that I wasn't ready to invest, the Crowdfunding date came and went with me not spending a dime. A few months later, I discovered the community portal with the forum, and saw the idea box. I posted my first idea, titled "Rogue Planets, Black Holes, and Rogue Stars (along other things)". I was excited to see that I had received my first comment, and the rest is history. Wait a minute... who the hell is this guy? Well, I'll have you know I am a man of few words and also of many things. I play sports in my spare time like basketball and golf. I also am an aspiring musician. I also sometimes dabble in the science fiction world, and watch a lot of science crap from Youtube, like Isaac Author (he's really cool, you should go check him out) and other people like Ridddle. Ive also read and (attemped to) understand some of Stephen Hawking's work. I also have a passion for games that far exceeds anything else (I should probably go to therapy for that). To sum up, I love games as much as the other guy, and can't wait for Dual Universe to come out. P.s. I changed my name to Orius because I have a better profile picture to go along with it.
  3. I was wondering how the filtering of explicit content will be handled. You know that there is going to be some kind of genitals occupying the sky at one point, along with planets carved out to explicitives.

    Gas Giants

Maybe with some clouds moving around the planet at high speeds, and when you enter the atmosphere (granted, if your ship is strong enough to sustain the strong gravity) you would be tossed around in the wind paths. I think it would be hard for it to be fuel, but it could happen.
  5. When the Novark accelerates to past light speed, wouldn't it be constantly bombarded with particles from the space dust and gas? Can kyrium contain this much bombardment before disintigrating? The only warp drive that can travel faster than light is known as the Alcubierre warp drive, proposed by Miguel Alcubierre, which bends the fabric of space time to make distances contract closer together, resulting in a kind of bubble. There are many problems that could theoretically occur as a result of this drive. 1) Particles could be swept up along the path of this bubble, resulting in possible high energy release towards a particular planet, annihilating said planet, or doing extreme damage to this planet without destroying it. Another problem is the survivability of the inside of the bubble, which is completely cut because of too much Hawking radiation. Also, the ship's crew, or in this case A.I., would not be able to control the ship because it would be going too fast. So, in the game lore, could new physics possibly be discovered that could help the probability of this device bring practically used in this timeframe? Thanks, -Rhino

  7. I guess that makes sense, as these guys are focusing more on player interaction more than anything.
  8. What about between planets in a system?
  9. How will the players travel to another star system? I've heard of star gates, but would ships also have warp drives to travel to other star systems in space?
  10. Hey all. For some reason, when I changed my display name and picture, nothing had changed for me when I had viewed my profile and looked at my forum posts. Is it possible to actually change your name, or is it just a glitch?
  11. If nanopacks, as you say, are incredibly rare, what is to stop them from being stolen from travelers and sold in a market as a valuable trade commodity? If this is the case, then shouldn't we have a way to store our items without the use of a nanopack?
  12. Human's impact on planet Earth is increasing, and unfortunately we cannot click a reset button. I would like to see this as an implemented game feature for a planet such as Alioth. When humans deplete Alioth of its resources, it would also be cool to see how the planet reacts to these changes, making it warmer or cooler. This feature could also be implemented in other planets as well.
  13. Part I is complete. Feel free to leave your feedback.
  14. Hey there. One question: when the guidelines mention no alien creatures, did they mean non-sentient, plant, or microbial creatures?
  15. What graphics engine is used to make this game? It looks good, but the animations seem a bit cartoonish to me.
  16. We should be able to customize voxel shapes to allow for player creativity more than the shapes already pre formed, making for some really interesting constructs.
  17. By "alien creature", do you specify against alien creatures residing on planets who are not sentient? Thanks, -Rhino

    Gas Giants

Gas Giants planets. There you go. Instead of planet surfaces, they could have a lot of moons.
  19. but i want it to be as non contradictory as possible, and I feel like it is breaking too many restrictions in the lore
  20. Anyone want to take over? I'm working on a better one. Have fun, -Rhino

    Weather

Will there be weather on planets? If not, can you make it happen? Also make it where you have a variety of weather, like rains of a particular substance (like rains of methane, currently present on Saturn's moon Titan)? It doesn't have to be water. If rain is present, make sure that the atmosphere is cold enough for the rain to be supported as liquid when falling from the clouds; the surface temperature can also exceed the boiling point of that particular liquid, so that the liquid will evaporate before reaching the ground, like on Venus. I've also mentioned before about gas giants, just thought I would mention it again. Gas giants usually have a lot of moons, and since gas giants cannot be landed on, maybe they can have a lot of moons in game to compensate for the lack of a solid surface. I know that this is a tall request, but I believe it can be done because of the significant amount of progress made already on the game! Thanks, -Rhino
  22. We should have the ability to terraform planets. There should be terraforming elements varying in effectiveness. The more efficient ones should cost more units than the one that would be less efficient.

    In Game Music

Wouldn't it be great to have in game music in the game? Picture this: you're flying peacefully in space, and a lovely soundtrack comes on to increase the feeling of serenity. Also, imagine that you are being attacked. Wouldn't it be awesome to have some action music in the background? Thus doesn't have to be implemented in the game by default, but at least make it possible for people to code in the option of playing soundtracks in their suit or spaceship. -Rhino
