  1. Err it just me or the image is too large too zoom ? I cant really see when zoom the image.

Yes you can, you can create a lot of rank with different right like recruit rank have right to open or function some thing but dont have ability to edit or build or taking thing out of container ( that is what Dev say their idea, right now we dont have detail but it will come soon ) It will be much in RDMs : here I think you can ... a bit of it. But if you want to keep it a secret like a secret ally i think it still doing in private. You can make ally by create an umbrella org so that its member cant attack each other, the same time you guy can join hand in some project also your own org business still wont be able to be interfere by your allies. it is inside Organization: here But i think it just like RDMs, you can just give your ally org some right. I think you have to vote with all your legate fellow ( When create an org, it will ask you how many share holder you want to create, each share is resemble a vote so you can distribute it to everyone, people you want, or just you. Then after that everything important in org like delete org or change org name or change the minimum vote require for a decision to be accept, ... (All of it non mater if you are the only legate ) so that if you have other people as legate who have the share holder , you may have to make a vote for it to be accept )

Yeah i agree that the information about where is place of hex that got claim shouldnt be view from a basic map, Intel always a critical resource to the surviving in wildness (remember before the modern a detail map used to be a military information because it show the graphic and the road of area ). That is private, it not private now day because of globalization and modern thought. And people dont shot other people (usually not ) if they have land conflict. But in the end the risk for being claim should still there because it is wildness after all but i think a solution: Instead instantly grant you the ownership of the land, it should take time to claim depend on how many construct in the area that is not own by the one place TU. So that people inside that hex will have time to prepare : 1. Move your stuff to somewhere. 2. Trade with the owner of the TU so that you can still live there. 3.FIGHT ...
  5. I wonder what shield are you talking. If on ship yes it cant protect u forever . Bubble shield the same but it give you time to prepare the offensive. And of course no planet can support entire the game lifespan so NQ already said you can discover new Ark Ship in other system then it will be come new addition spawn point.
  6. All you need is DIGGING DEEPER so you wont have to hiking xD. But seriously the planet is big (it has been bigger to 4 time since it in pre-alpha and it still huge back then ) so i doubt you will have to hiking to further away. But dont worry at the latter game when player venture to other system there might be another Ark Ship in another system and once it got discover it will be come a new addition spawn point.

  8. I thought we can lock-on a part of the ship like choosing place to shot. And what left on the place after shoot is "a hole" . So with that we can shot each place on the ship like engine, bridge, reactor room, ... Also i hear lock-on will be make smooth as much as possible so player dont feel so annoy as it look like click to shot like any FPS.
  9. It look cool. And also there is another ArkShip for us to discovery when we can go to another system. I think they can use your idea about that ArkShip get damage and life support turn off and kill all passenger and crew then player have to fix it. After fixing that ArkShip can become a spawn point.

  11. It would be nice if we can general scan a planet before start mining there. Like it show you 10 type of ore available on that planet but only reveal 4-6 common to uncommon type ore, the rest you have to scan by hand on the planet or on the ground ( and of course no location, too easy if it does ). Also NQ have said they will create a tool help player to get right decision when build a star gate, i think a wide general scan will include.

    How about build a Dome with voxel instead ? Using TU (RDMs) to protect it from random edit from outsider.
  16. @0something0 Create content and create fury , unfair is 2 different thing. When you can hold back in a battle against an org and then a blast boom, everything gone, you base is now a nuclear fallout ... Do you think that is a good experience ? IT only create fury. And what do you think keep big org from nuke everything ( that small base of newbie, let's nuke them ; That guy ship look cool , nuke it; That guy just save enough to buy that, nuke him; ... ) . I dont know from EVE or anywhere you play but i play enough game to see that people will go to the point using end-game weapon to just gank newbie. I know because i'm once the victim of it, only fury and unfair feeling after all your effort being destroy by some veteran player/
  17. @Anonymous Yes and do you know what keep people not to nuke each other right now in the world ? Public opinion, consequence so great ( everyone got nuke ), humanity (what you tell your people afterward ? You nuke million of innocent because some Oil ? ) And so glad because of that we dont have to witness Nuclear Judgement day ... for now. And DU is a game, all of the reason for holding using nuclear weapon will be non exit. IF something can, they will do it. I can imagine people nuke everything ... for fun of course or some reason.
  18. Well i think it can be solve with RDM ?. Place a static core and area building of it become a plot. And so if you want to sell that plot you will using RDMs to give the right to the one buy it.
  19. If big ship have unique thing i dont see why not: 1. FTL engine, assume the basic which easy to unlock first too big or consume too much for a small ship to use, so people will go on a "ferry" to use its FTL rather than go long way alone. 2. Safe, band together always better than go alone. But also more dangerous as pirate will have a big catch anyway. 3. Fuel - If Fuel is costly in long run, then ferry will help you very much. 4. Afk traveling - I will just let my ship there , inside the long trip ( or short abit like 15 - 30 minute ) to go do something. And it will be big help if you can go pass StarGate inside a ferry rather than to pay a big fee when go alone
  20. you are right when say this idea have appeared on the forum before. This is something player have to deal themselves, especially DU is a Sandbox MMO where everything still there after a long time pass. The reward for it is beautiful view, tidy land than a cheese land. With that most Org who care about their public view ( especially those base at near Ark ship ) will sure do it, but not to a wasteland or No man's land. People will tend to city more :)). Anyway hi, welcome to DU.
  21. Well DarkHorizon "Ferry" service maybe will bloom and be a very important service in DU i think. Especially we dont know how hard to craft one FTL and fuel for FTL engine to work, also ferry can also give you a good protection than when you fly alone.

  23. How about a layer outside of that act as armor plate ( of course all is voxel ). And in here we isnt using block, it is voxel building (recommend watch video on youtube to know how thing build in DU ) so it isnt help much. The damage deal to the ship hull via weapon is that , it will left "a hole" there. It calculate something like status base of weapon , skill and then the material make the ship hull.
