    As fuel/energy storage tanks get buried within the internals of a vehicle, due to factors like armour, size and complexity, why not have a vehicle Fuel/Energy Port Element that can be placed on the outside of a vehicles hull? Just like we have with fuel fillers on today's cars.
     
    This would also allow for the filling of those fuel/energy tanks without giving someone access to the internals of the ship.
     
    A log system could also be implemented to show when fuel/energy was added, as well as how much, and who by.

    As multiple product desigms hit the markets with diverse characteristics there may not be enough info built into DU to describe a particular product.
     
    With this in mind I propose a url field that will enable the seller/designer to link to a website/youtube video that describes the product in more detail. (Or to allow embedding of youtube vids into product the description panel)
     
    As I'm not in the pre alpha i dont' know if this is a valid idea or not... but here it is anyway

    Core Design has been created by its CEO, CoreVamore, a Dual Universe builder and Industrialist.
     
    Core Design is the gathering place for associates, partners and clients of the Core Design community.
     
    Core Design focuses on its two main projects:
     
    A space ship design, called the Nomad, that will go through many iterative designs, improving over time as Dual Universe develops, and...  
               
     
    "Project Two" - details of which will be released at a future date.  
    Core Design's focus on quality, performance and excellence in design should ensure competitive and fun products.
     
    Core Design hopes that its products will touch the lives of every Dual Universe citizen, at some point, as they journey through Dual Universe.
     
    Time will tell.....

    I think people are missing the point. Big companies wont go after creators of content in DU, they will go after NQ itself. That there is the danger for all of us....

    hehe. A friend wrote a slimmed TCP stack and basic web server on a C64 running CPM a few years ago, so don't count out the older machines.

    While those with Pre Alpha access have been working on Tortuga in-game, @Agilulf put together a writing group to create an episodic series called "Tales from Tortuga".

    Leading an org in a game like Du is a 24/7 job. 365 days. You will get calls in the middle of the night because somerhing went downhill. You are stuck in ingame meetings and need to make deciscions 24/7. Letting other ppl help you, just makes the leadership more prone to spais, infiltrators and scammers. That's what leading means.

    Agreed. If you don't know what you are doing and your organization isn't organized and planned, you are doomed to fail...miserably. ^^

    Almost every organization is bound to collapse within first several days of being in the release.
    Reasons:
    Too big to manage, which causes resource and leadership problems. Half-Senders, I'm ready to laugh at your inevitable downfall.
    Too many inactives
    Too many """rules and laws"""
    Not enough time to expand naturally
    Lack of proper leadership architecture
    Industrial organizations won't have proper infrastructure.
    Ship building organizations are going to be a complete and utter joke early game.
    Research organizations... just... why?
    Sleeper orgs: DoA.
    Exodus fleets need ships and materials, which cannot be supplied until several months into the game.
     
     
    "And they hated Jesus, for he told the truth."
    I know it sounds cliched and dumb, but the ashes of those orgs make actual ones. Ones that function properly.
    Organizations that "consume and adapt" (Like BOO, because they know how this shit works) are the proto-orgs that will survive.

    Tortuga City is a community city building project in the world of DUAL UNIVERSE. The city is a place for trade, manufacturing and shady business. You'll never find a more wretched hive of scum, villainy and dashing rogues. Separated from the shackles of organization affiliations and political agendas, the cyberpunk world of Tortuga with its skyscrapers and neon signs will be home to adventurers and agents, artists and militarists, traders and thiefs.
     
    Tales from Tortuga is a series of fictionalized stories set in this world, created for the entertainment of the colonists of Alioth and abroad. Our adventure doesn't take place in the actual Tortuga of the game, it only takes inspirations from it. The stories you will read are not part of the official lore of DUAL UNIVERSE, it's a story within a story.
     
    Tales from Tortuga will be released in episodes every two weeks on SpaceshipDrama.com and here in the forum. The episodes are written by different authors from the community and comprise of stand-alone stories that will tell a 12 issue long overarching plot. The cover art of the issues is also created by different artists.

    No need to move the discussion as its not NDA, most is just conjecture, or what has already been said in NQ's releases.
     
    I am certain new elements will be introduced and/or modified over time. The characters skill set also ensures that this will happen as only skills will determine when certain techs will be able to be firstly made, then secondly used. NQ has said the characters skill sets will develop similar to Eve Online - and to become fully skilled in Eve takes something like 20 real life years, so expect new techs to arrive over time.
     
    Secondly, JC has said that there will be some form of story arc to progress through. I dont know how long that will take, but it also allows for another mechanism to introduce new techs/elements etc.
     
    I am also sure that they will provide full transparency as to what elements are achievable in game, and what it takes to both build them and use them. Gives everyone something to both aim for, and in some cases, search for.
