By the time you have enough traffic built on handshakes alone, it would have to be hundreds of thousands of players all using the same script or connecting to the same host, by which point they should have implemented a real API by that point. 
 
Not only that, but it would have to be a constant stream of traffic to cause a DDoS. 
 
Open a packet analyzer and look at all of the traffic you already have going on your network, a handful of handshakes is not going to cause a problem.

This, also if someone is away from their home system harassing you or your group then killing them will send them out of your system. it will at least take them time to get back and they will have lost a ship

oh I wasn't saying don't put the system in. iv played games in the past where a troll was griefed off the server. It is a legitimate tactic. And I don't think there will be a correlation between Bounty price, fame, and org size. You could be a well known troll but not be in a big org, or you may just be a thorn in the side of one person who dislikes you enough to spend a small fortune.

Death in a game is not about death, it's about resources. If I can destroy you ship and ability to fight, I have won regardless of whether your character has died or not. In this way, bounty hunting is going to be more about destroying resources rather than just killing someone. 
 
Or just laying the pain in people because you don't like them and have the money for a bounty

Just a short message here to emphasis/remind the fact that using fake accounts on a big scale to inflate artificially the size (hence the visibility) of an Organization, especially when the Organization founder(s) is/are aware of this and let it go (or is a part of the problem), this can lead to the Organization deletion. This won't prevent the involved people to recreate their organization, but if this abuse (use of fake accounts) is done by the same person(s) again, the sanction will escalate.

- You can only use the accounts for which you are the rightful owner.
- You can't lend or share your account(s) with anyone else (even a friend or a member of your family). No exception will be taken into account.
- Accessing to an account that isn't rightfully yours is strictly prohibited.
- If someone asks or harasses you to give your authentication information to him/her, do not comply to his/her request.
- If someone harass you for such a thing, please inform the CMs by private message and/or contact the support team at support@novaquark.com.
 
The consequences of sharing an account:
- The security of your account is breached and if something wrong happens on your account, you lose the right to ask the help of the support team.
- If the person with which you have shared your account has committed infractions, the sanctions can be applied to your account as well, even if you didn't commited the infraction yourself but your account has helped in anyway to commit the infraction.

Sorting the ideas posted in this section is part of our to-do list.
We also want to make a table on which we would answer if the idea is:
- accepted and included in the roadmap before the official launch
- accepted and included in the roadmap after the official launch
- accepted and might be included but much later.
- rejected temporarily (because of some reasons, but that reasons may disappear at some point)
- rejected definitely (because of reasons that have no chance to disappear or because it's just not compatible with our game vision).
 
However, as we have a lot of priority tasks at the moment, this hasn't been done yet.
If someone was willing to make at least a kind of summary of the ideas already posted (with links toward the involved topics) right now, this would help both the Community and the Community Team.
