While I could agree with maybe at most 4 safe areas. Im also highly intrigued by what is going to happen to this starting area as time progresses. I forsee that a lot of players are going to want to go explore and be very gung ho. Some of the organizations and corps are gonna go hunt for their home system. While there may be some scammers and dastardly players I don't think its going to affect the overall game. But im excited to see this area go from some single room "huts" to a sprawling neutral trade city and recruitment area for the organizations and corps of DU

in my experience a game that is buy to play model don't last long, as this is a game that I hope will last years to decades I don't mind the subscription. I got my start playing runescape and I spent the first 4 years as a casual player in the free part of the game. but I had no issue paying at the time the 5 dollars a month for memebers. then I moved to wow which I paid about 80 dollars total for at the time (vanilla and bc expac) and still the 15 dollars a month didn't break my bank. I hope that they are able to keep updating the game and making it ever better so that it doesn't get left behind with old tech and/or the company running out of money to keep running the servers. as long as it isn't a pay to win model I don't much have an opinion how they do it. Iv seen games other than eve and possibly this one using ingame currency to be able to buy game time. I would say that hopefully they have a trial period for people who are interested but aren't sure if they wanna commit. either they being stuck in the confines of xkm from ark ship or a certain level is there is actually levels in this game.

I think we might be friends. I too got my start in the wonderful world of mmo's with runescape, currently the only mmo im still playing atm with my sub par pc im running.

im not too sure on my name. but ill probably be a merc/pirate. I like my freedom but I also enjoy being part of big groups doing amazing things lol

welcome future friend/enemy. and given that im guessing a fully playable game is still atleast a year or two off. hopefully you get some more free time

this was actually the first threads i came across before i made my account. im enjoying all the organizations popping up for me to look at. I plan to pick one and stay with em. gotta weight my options like nora here lol

I just found out about this game, and im excited to see that an online community is already growing. I have played Mmo's for many years and have been hoping for a game similar to this. I haven't had the chance to read through all the dev blogs just yet but definitely on my list of things to do. A lot about this game I have been searching for in a game for years. I have in the past always played medieval and fantasy mmos but have been hoping for a grand space mmo such as this that is more than just flying a ship. I look forward to making new friends and perhaps enemies in the days to come. if I had to give myself a play style, id say that id probably be part research/explorer and combatant. tend to be a solo player but also love being in large groups for major offenses
