    Some schematics are in really over-simplified groups. The most obvious example for me, is Detection Zone L. It's a tiny little electronic doo-dad that apparently needs to take as long, to make a schematic for, as an advanced large engine. That's honestly just stupid.
     
    There are probably many other good examples (gates maybe), but generally, items seem to be grouped around their naming schemes. It would make more sense to me, to group things around which machine size is needed to produce something.
     
    Please fix the groups. A detection zone L shouldn't be considered a large element.

    Therefore I propose to create a new kind of blueprint (new item). 
    This blueprint consists of a list of blueprint names (current blueprints) and their core positions (incl. alignment) in the overall construct.
    It is a condition that all cores of the blueprints (current blueprints) are of the same type and that the core position of the subsequent entry is not further away than 600m (to cover only real constructs).
     
    Furthermore, when setting a blueprint, it must not land in a construction area where this core is not allowed to be.
    After setting the new Blueprint, the individual target positions of the cores are displayed virtually with names, as with a projector. Then you can set the current Blueprints one after the other without re-aligning them. The projector can be switched on and off depending on the construction progress.
     
    The automatic generation of the new blueprints should still be possible in BETA.

    Basically DU is a grinding game. You invest your time to achieve progression. NQ promised that under all circumstances that investment would be persistent. That's why most of us invested so much time in it.
    By breaking that promise, i lost my trust and probably won't do that investment of my time again. I don't even know how many thousand hours i spent to progress.
    The reasons they state for this being a must, are weak. Honestly, i don't care if any "exploited" stuff that people gained stays in the game or not. there will always be a lot of players with more Quanta or other possessions in the game. In the end that is NQ's problem. If they did not act with a small rollback after accidentally giving away Warp Beacon Schematics for a way too low price.
    And if people used lots of alt accounts to make money with the missions, i would say. clever.. they invested their time into that game mechanic when it was possible and made a fortune.
    I personally did not benefit from any of those Exploits and have never been a mission runner. So why should all players be punished for that? Just because there is too much quanta or elements in the game? Come on NQ there are enough possibilities to resolve that.
    The way they are doing the reset, is in my opion just a desperate attempt to make money with new player subscriptions,by giving the max "bonus" to anyone who now invests fresh money into  the game. And by doing that they accept the risk that a majority of senior players will just quit.(financially not a huge loss for NQ with available  DACs for a lot of those senior players.)

    If they want to give new players a fairer chance for fast progression without having to compare themselves to senior players.. Just create a 2nd system, make it extremely expensive (energy or time consuming)  to transport mass there and have a new different currency there. problem solved without breaking promises. New players could spawn there if they want and build up that system.
    Senior Players could travel there accepting the price and knowing that their Quanta would be more or less worthless there.

    So, after giving this some thought and considering how NQ is clearly copying EVE once again, yet fails to grasp the basic concept of how the EVE system works, this is how the rework SHOULD (as I see it) work:
     
    As NQ seems to not have any intention of letting players control the game and will continue to be the game master and provider of all things, let's go with that.
     
    Basic setup:
    Aphelia sells original blueprints. These are unlimited runs with basic efficiency and material requirements Industry elements lose their time and material buffs through talents  
    From there several "career" opportunities exist:
     
    Researcher
    A new element is introduced to allow players to research both time and material buffs, these buffs come in 10 levels which will take an increasing amount of time to research per level and each level adds a same percentage to time reduction as well as material input and output stats
     
    A high multiplier talent will allow to train reductions in time needed to research each level
     
    This research element also allows players to make copies of their researched schematics, they can sell these or sell the researched original blueprints but only through barter/contract.
     
    Industrialist
    Will generally use researched originals or high run count copies, bought from researchers
     
    DIY enthusiasts
    Will generally either use unresearched originals bought from Aphelia or low run count copies bought from researchers
     
    Schematic Bank
    Schematics could be centralised. have a "schematic bank" which is linked to the construct core and in that way allow any relevant industry to access these schematics through Lua. If that would be possible, you can leave it to the game's coder base to quickly come up with some fancy industry management scripts while for the non-Lua types, you can just select any recipe from a schematic in the bank on the relevant Industry unit.
     
    That way, you could even consider keeping the requirement for each item to be made to have a schematic as you'd only ever need one of them in the schematics bank for the construct.
     
     
    There.. fixed the schematic system for you within the constraints of what DU allows.

    Why would you not just keep both systems?
    Expensive reusable single-part blueprints, and cheap single-use part-range blueprints.
    Also, a central schematic database unit, which you can connect to machines so that you can manage all the blueprints in one place, and share the blueprint across multiple machines (but only 1 using it at a time) would be really nice. Especially if you can pick it up and retain the blueprints inside.

    This seems decent, the main and biggest problem i see is it says that these copy's are put in the machine the same way as before.
    if we have to manually add these copies frequently then no way. putting schematics in was one of the most tedious and annoying things, so to have to do this regularly.... not enjoyable process. I hope there's a way to auto load copies from a container into machines.

    The station is running out of oxygen. Players need to donate or sell oxygen to the station. If enough oxygen is donated all players will recieve a small reduction on tax on future sales for x amount of time, the top donater will not be taxed for x amount of time.  If more oxygen is sold then donated then sakes tax will increase for everyone at the station. If not enough oxygen is donated or sold all market transactions are timed out at that station.

    I have a ship designed such a way, that it can take off from any planet and moon with some load.
    It's a combination of vertical boosters and hovers calculated specificly that way to optimize fuel usage and effectiveness.
    But this ship can't take off from a space station! 😟
    Because space stations have 1g gravity, pulling ship as hard as Alioth, and much harder, than any of moons out there.
    I would suggest changing space station gravity for something like the max moon gravity, or even entirely disable it when you are trying to take off using vertical boosters.

    First off, before even starting with this, in the past sometimes schematics were changed with major unfair consequences for people already owning or producing the item, so the following mostly make sense in case of a wipe, or when creating new items:

    Tier changes:
    These are very simple, require litte thought as they can pretty much seen as bug. Some items have an inconsisten tier, if you look at the machines needed for them and the materials used. Examples
    -Territory units
    -ScreenXL
    -Rocket engine L
     
    Nanocraftable:
    Similary a no brainer like above, if one type of HC can be nanocrafted, they all should.
     
    I strongly think more of the simple electronics parts should be t1 and nanocraftable, this includes:
    XS lights, operators (NOT, AND, etc), counters. 
    Rename headlights to "small headlights", make them XS and t1, too. They are the only part on the starter speeder that can not be nanocrafted.
    I would also argue detection zones and VR pods should be reduced to t2.
    These are small QoL items that people should have easy access to, this doesn’t unbalance anything.

    Cost:
    These item cost an oddly high or surprisingly low amount compared to similar items. These are very open to discussion and I post my opions here:
    Primer: Usually if you go bigger or smaller, but stay "in the tier", the price is the same for the performance. Examples (using production prices at full talents and actual ore prices as of now, schematic prices not included in any way.)
     
    Normal items:
    A wing M has 4x the power of a wing S, and costs 6x as much, the wing S however is easier to place.
    A basic atmo engine L costs 6x as much as M with 6x the power, and is somewhat easier to place.
    A Gate XL is 9x as big as a gate XS and 8x the price. 
    4 glas panels S are as big as one M, 4xM are as big is one L. The prices are ~100q, 400q and 600q.
    All screens just cost the same, plants are in groups of either 100q or 600q depending on size.
    All makes kinda sense.
     
    And now, to the stuff that needs to have a look:
     
    Canopy windshield. Easiest to compare to glas panels of the exact same size, these cost far far more.
    40 000q for L, 6000q for M, 1000q for S, compared to 600q, 400q and 100q for the glas panels.
     
    What you are paying for is the fact that canopy, unlike panels, do not have the Z fighting (that glitchy flickering) on the edges when placed on flat surfaces, and they do not look like they are coated in grease.

    Metal canopy cost about the same as windshields. A steel panel however costs only 140q.
    How to cover a 16x16 voxel sized hole (2x2 meters):
    900 quanta with actual steel voxels (4 cubic meters, no tricks)
    1120 for 8 steel panels
    16 000 for 16 metal canopy S
    24 000 for 4 canopy M
    40 000 for 1 canopy L
     
    Winner is voxel, as usual, followed by the elements, and you pay more if you want to spend less time repairing.
     
    Pipes, 
    they all cost the same, no matter the size. A, B, C and D are not different models, the A and B are different models, C and D are the same model, but twice as long.
    They also weigh 4t each and cost 36k to make. For a decorative item with no purpose. And unlike a bonsai, or hologram L, pipes are not pretty or give instant braggin rights. Who came up with the price for pipes?
     
    Control units:
    Command seats can link more stuff but are much heavier, fair enough.
    EMC, programming board and remote control should have their price increased to match that of hover seat and command seat though. Something being quite cheap is usually not seen as a problem and nobody complains, but I think it would make sense.
     
    Type of material needed.
    These are a bit different. Just be aware this is not about realism in any way, this is about roughly balancing the types of ore needed. It is also not an issue with individual items.
    This may also be a hard read for people who do not do industry.

    All engines need reinforced frames of their tier, which means heavy metal (yeaah!), and screw of a 1 lower tier, more heavy metal (doubleyeaah!)
    Atmo also needs:
    Injectors, which means plastic of all tiers including the tier of the engines, and screw, up to one lower than the tier of the engine,
    Combustion chamber, which is mostly heavy metal and some light metal.
    This is pretty damn metal overall. 
    Space engines use conductor metals instead of plastic
     
    And the same is true for other ship parts that you need multiple of, hovers/boosters, containers, and maybe eventually t1-4 wings, brakes.
    I very much welcome the higher tier version of some ship parts and hope many more come, like wings, adjustors and brakes. However, while the t1 versions are still somewhat balanced, the higher tier versions are less so. 
     
    A move towards more "metal" parts of higher tier should therefore aim to increase the use of plastic, glas and conductor metals. 
    Examples:
    -Increase the need for high tech which already uses more of those 3. Like by introducing different sizes or even tiers of warp drives, adding other high tech like the AGG, this could be an "AGG light", which just generally reduced the gravity force on your ship, without need to adjust a singularity. Make your M core ship behave on Alioth like it would on Sicari, with the new Göde-drive, which needs a shit ton of Pyrite and Kolbeckite to produce.
    -Change part materials needed. eg the advanced burner from 2, 2, 2, 2, 2 (screw, screw, light metal, light metal light metal) to 1, 1, 1, 3, 3, and injector similary to need less screws, but more plastic. Magnets to use more connectors.
    -When introducing a new tiered version of an item, let’s say t2+ adjustors, change their frames into casings. 
    -More items where you can chose. Currently space fuel and scrap are the big equalizers. If one t2 ore costs drastically less for a while, people switch their space fuel and it equalizes. However only for t2. Scrap equalizes all items, but is not used in the same volume and heavily favours higher tiers anyway. Easiest thing would be to introduce more fuel schematics (and making the final product the same thing, so it mixes). It is a hard sell lore wise though. Alternative items are the most surefire way to keep stuff balanced though, keep it in mind if you ever introduce a new consumable like for an energy system.
    -Make non-vital parts of ships take no PvE damage, drastically increasing the use of screens, lights, holograms, canopy, and opening a want for more, bigger and higher tier vanity items. I want to stuff my ship with t3 M sized plants, a t4 crystal bar and a holodeck-like room with a unicorn fountain and a rainbow projector. And that doesn’t work with voxels and vert lights.
     
     
    Closing: This was a long wall of text for an addendum to another forum post. I am aware that some are a bit on the nitpicky side. I also want to mention that the currently high prices on some items mean more profit for me. So this is not coming from somebody who wishes he could afford more things, I just think canopy are stupid expensive and same-tier ore should be more same-price.

    Many of these things said could lead to nice discussions about other things, please start a new topic for those.

    Speculating with the wipe is a very bad idea. This is how things are now: 
     
    1-The players who are against the wipe, are acting as if the wipe is possible, failing to play seriously. 
    2-The players who are in favor of the wipe are not burning their resources to enjoy the pre-wipe, just in case the wipe does not come.
    3-Therefore both players who want a wipe and those who don't want a wipe are losing.
     
    What would happen if the wipe is announced?
     
    1-Players who are in count of the wipe, could decide if they want to play after the wipe and play the pre wipe or leave the game. 
    2-The players who are in favor of the wipe, will be able to play the pre wipe, and prepare the wipe. 
    3-Therefore, some players lose, others win, but decisions can be made 
     
    What would happen if a no wipe is announced: 
     
    1-Players who don't want the wipe could go back to normal in the game 
    2-Players who want the wipe would have to decide if they want to play in a broken economy mmo. 
    3-Therefore, some players lose, others win, but decisions can be made.

    Just  bringing the potential wipe on the table again is enough to instantly put me on a "pause" mode with DU. it just feels like i invested years of time on the single promise that there is persistence and a wipe would only occur if there is kind of a fatal problem that cannot be resolved otherwise, and even if a wipe would happen all progress and constructs could be taken over to the after wipe time..
    so basically that was a lie (looking on all those options being discussed "internally" at NQ.)
    - getting rid of schematics ==> do you know how much grind it was just to get there and obtain those schematics?
    - the quanta i own was earned honestly. and yes that was another grind to get there, so why take it away? just because NQ did not react when some people took advantage. so let's punish all players instead.. no, does not sound very reasonable. i don't honestly care about the players that have "more". for all players except one, there will always be players that have more, so who really cares (except the new players joining and want to avoid the grind we all had)
    - if you wipe  any of my quanta, exp, stuff, (without giving me all back via magic BPs, or the benefit of the grind by removing all schematics i see it as betrayal. will probably not return..
    - even putting the long term players on an optional parallel DU is not an option.

    what would be OK for me:
    - planetary reset (all constructs as magic BP's)
    - Ban of players that cheated before
    - removing the requirement to own schematics for Tier 1-2 (or even Tier 3) items
    - game play changes that do not in-valuate previous "grind"
    - removal of all bot orders
    - creating a new System with new planets and resources without the possibility to transport big amounts of mass there where different rules may be applied. maybe even having a new 2nd currency there, so you cannot bring your quanta with you.

    So yes there are lots of options of adding new gameplay and mechanics even without having to betray all the beta players that spent an insane amount of time in game to get where they are today. But the 2 wipe options you described are not really satisfying in my position.

    So please: reconsider
    put your heads together again without just serving those people that scream wipe wipe in order to get an unfair advantage by purging a huge amount of time in grind for senior players who believed in past commitments that had been made by NQ.

    Also, something as simple as adding a multiplier to the normal dispenser interface (assuming the limit and cooldown are set to zero) would already be super sweet.

    So if I, the seller, set my dispenser to sell you a batch for 9600, you can just have an input to buy that x times..

    We have been through wipe after wipe and major impactful changes in the last few years and it was never easy. I've rage quit myself a few times because of it.
     
    Taking things into perspective
    Having said that I can say that I'm 100% for any change needed to make DU the best it can be. Weather that means a full wipe or a partial one should depend on what that means for DU and not a few unhappy players. In the end if you want to achieve great things you have to go through the mud sometimes.
     
    Reward
    I remember some time in a long lost past I played a similar game. We had buildingcontests where people could win exclusive skins or decorations that were highly desired and admired. I think it might be a good idea to award everyone that has supported the development of DU with an exclusive skin or decoration.
     
    Final word
    Since the start of my DU journey a few years ago till today I still cannot see how it is possible to make DU fun without any form of NPC or survival element. And from the NQ video's I get the idea that even NQ doesn't know how to make it fun with it's current player only mantra. I have very little faith in this concept and I don't understand why it has to be this way other than that it's a lot of work to make. It may be a lot of work but also has a lot of reward if done right. In addition to that as a metaverse DU needs heavy social interaction features, there is none of that right now.

    Der Markt befindet sich genau im Zentrum der Sicherheitszone, in etwa gleicher Entfernung zu Aliath, Madis und Thades. Es ist außerdem eine öffentliche Warpboje zum Aegis Markt verfügbar.
     
    Bitte beachtet, dass der Aegis Markt von einer Verbotszone umgeben ist. Ihr könnt keine Raumkerne innerhalb von 50 Kilometern von seinem Standort aufstellen. Ihr könnt allerdings dynamische Kerne in dieser umgebenden Zone aufstellen - wie in Aphelia Gebieten auf den Planeten.

    And this, ladies and gentlemen, is what we call filler content.. Serves no purposes really and is mostly irrelevant to the game as a whole but is an "easy win"as far as "look, we are adding more stuff". NQ needs to bring the player markets they have promised, allow players to run their own marketplace and sell multiple goods through a single element.
     
    So far, Athena is pretty much a number of "new things" no one really needs and only add fluff. 
     
    When the new skybox is what appears to be the best part of the patch.. it kind of says it all.

    Market 1 Alioth moon 1 is:
    -closer to most players
    -also in space

    I have no idea how the new space market adds anything in any way for anybody except the Utopia guys, that was not already provided by any of the moon markets. Unless the fact that there is a moon below the moon markets is an issue, which I doubt, the new market is not going to see a lot of action, it is yet another waste of time.
     
    Next time players ask for something that would actually be nice and make the game more fun and the devs say "we would love to, but it isn’t priority, maybe later we find the time" just remember there was time enough for this thing.

    Diese Action wollt Ihr bestimmt nicht verpassen: Freitag, 01.04. um 9 Uhr morgens  (UTC) bis zum 04.04. 9 Uhr morgens (UTC) ist das Athena Update auf dem Public Test Server (PTS) verfügbar.

    Athena ist eines der größeren Updates, welches eine Menge Neuerungen enthält, auf die Ihr Euch freuen könnt - inklusive aufregender Inhalte für die PVP Enthusiasten unter Euch. Jeder Spieler mit einem gültigen Abonnement wird in der Lage sein, die Neuerungen und Verbesserungen auf dem Test-Server, vor der eigentlichen Veröffentlichung auf dem Live-Server, ausprobieren zu können. Im Zuge dessen habt ihr dann die Möglichkeit, konstruktive Kritik zu Euren Eindrücken und Erfahrungen mit uns zu teilen. Je mehr Feedback wir von Euch erhalten, desto besser werden wir Feineinstellungen am Update vornehmen können!
     
    Da Athena das letzte große Update vor dem offiziellen Release ist, habt Ihr bestimmt eine Menge Fragen über die Zukunft. Wir werden in den kommenden Wochen mehr Informationen, zu den meist diskutierten Fragen für Euch haben. Dies beinhaltet Themen, die schon länger diskutiert wurden, wie z.B. ob es zu einem Wipe vor dem Launch kommt, Avatar vs Avatar PVP, oder die Implementation von DAC. Wir möchten uns für Eure Geduld zu bedanken und werden Euch schnellstmöglich entsprechend mit Antworten versorgen.
     
    Während des PTS Wochenendes würde unser Design Team Euer Feedback zu den folgenden Features von Athena sehr willkommen heißen:
     
    Das neue Kriegsführungs-System im All - konzentriert sich unter anderem auf außerirdische Core Einheiten, welche in PVP Zonen spawnen und vom Space Radar lokalisierbar sind. Bei diesen handelt es sich um Einheiten, die Ressourcen wie z.B.  Abbau Punkte generieren, welche von Spielern oder Organisationen übernommen werden können. Einmal in Besitz genommen, verdiene Dir Ressourcen und verteidige den Besitz der Einheit!    Space Mining Einheiten und Plasma Relikt Sammler können nun gefertigt, gekauft oder verkauft werden. Die Einheiten werden für das Sammeln von Ressourcen auf außerirdischen Core Einheiten benötigt. Stasis Waffen dienen der Reduzierung der Maximal-Geschwindigkeit von Schiffen, eine Maßnahme, mit der wir das PVP Geschehen weiter ausbalancieren wollen. Größere, gut gepanzerte Schiffe mit mächtigen Antrieben werden zukünftig nicht länger zwingend einen Vorteil gegenüber kleineren, agileren Designs haben. Stasis Waffen können wie jeder PVP Gegenstand gefertigt werden. Sie nutzen spezifische Munition, die ebenfalls gefertigt werden kann. Die Art, wie sich die Maximalgeschwindigkeit eines Konstrukts berechnet, wird ebenfalls etwas geändert. Die Masse eines Konstruktes hat zukünftig mehr Einfluss auf die Geschwindigkeit; je schwerer das Schiff, desto geringer die erreichbare Maximalgeschwindigkeit. Hierdurch soll es kleineren Schiffe ermöglicht werden, künftig größere Schiffe - unabhängig von ihren größeren Antrieben, einholen können.     
    Weitere bedeutende Änderungen von Athena beinhalten:
    Eine runderneuerte Spieleinführung, um eine bessere und einfacherer zu folgenden Erfahrung für neue Spieler zu gewährleisten. Wir möchten neuen Spieler eine solide Informationsgrundlage, um sich im Spiel zurechtzufinden, bieten. Das Tutorial ist verfügbar in Haven, einem neuen Mond, der sich permanent außerhalb der PVP Zone befindet. Eine brandneue System-Karte (F4 > “System” Reiter) um das Helios System zu erkunden. Diese beinhaltet 3D-Modelle und präzise Positionen von Konstrukten, Planeten, außerirdische Space Cores, Sehenswürdigkeiten (Points of Interest), sowie verbesserter Karten-Navigation, dem Setzen von Wegpunkten in zusätzlich zu Ziel-Wegpunkten und vielem mehr! Eine neue Skybox und ein verbessertes Rendering von Sternen, sichtbar nach Verlassen der Atmosphäre. Verbesserte Wasser-Darstellung ebenso wie verbesserte Darstellung des Taschenlampen-Lichts   Addition eines Lua API‘s für Abbau-Einheiten, mit welchem Ihr die Überwachung eurer Einheiten konfigurieren könnt – erreichbar über den Codex (F1). Ebenfalls stellt Euch Athena den allerersten Markt im All vor! Hier werdet Ihr, ohne auf einem Planeten landen zu müssen, direkt von Eurem Schiff in der Lage sein Eure Käufe zu tätigen. Begebt Euch hierfür zur Mitte der Safe Zone zwischen Alioth, Madis und Thades. Viel Spaß beim Shoppen!

    es sieht gut aus, ist noch alles da und geschützt. 
     
    Der Name im Forum muss nicht gleich der Spielername sein, daher die Frage nach dem Spielernamen.
     
    Wenn Du Backer bist, was man in deinem Profil nicht sieht, hat NQ deine Tile's als Hauptquartier bis zur RELEASE geschützt.
    Alle die ab BETA einen Monatsabo hatten, haben eine Galgenfrist bis die Tile's und deren Cores von NQ als aufgegeben gesetzt werden, wenn das Abo gekündigt wurde.
    Dann werden die Tile's besitzlos und die Cores können nach einer weiteren Galgenfrist geplündert werden. Bei Organisationen ist das schon geschehen. Also Savezone gilt nur für PvP.
     
    Es ist auch im Gespräch dieses auf dem Sanc Mond zu machen.
    Die genauen Zeiten und wann das für deinen Kram zutrifft bitte selber nachlesen (Dev. Info's).
     
    Sieht ganz hübsch aus dein Kram, wäre Schade wenn Du nicht weiter machst.
    Ich weiß momentan ist es etwas schwierig im Spiel.
