Going so fast that would mean a massive slow down, reverse acceleration and back-track. Possible I suppose. May have serious fuel implications. Unless they used ramjets.

Questions: Won't the life / atmosphere on Alioth be incompatible with humans? The cryo-pods and Resurrection Nodes should be the same physical thing as you need one each. If you can accelerate at 1g then it only takes 24 years to cross the galaxy (ship-time)
