I and many others have made complaints to Kickstarter. We've all been told that Kickstarter will not assist us, and if we have an issue with being defrauded we would need to take legal action against NQ.
It may come to that. -
And of course, nearly 9 years later, I'm moving.
Despite still not receiving anything in all this time, they're now telling me that they had a deadline of last month to update addresses. So now that I've decided to move, I'm S.O.L. on my physical rewards. Whenever they decide to send them (probably in another 9 years) they will send them to whatever address was in their database as of February.
At this point, I may just have to sue these guys. They've made it quite clear they don't care about their backers. -

I'm pretty sure we've all been scammed. I don't think they will ever send anything. I think Novaquark has realized they can just string us along indefinitely, and never actually send anything.
I'm not sure what legal recourse we have either. I can say that I'm really upset about all of this. -
Here we go again!
Months ago, you sent an update, and emails stating that physical rewards for ALL KICKSTARTER BACKERS, INCLUDING ALL FOUNDERS, would be released. We were even warned that we would not be able to update our addresses after that date, because the items were about to be shipped!
MONTHS LATER AND WE ARE STILL WAITING, and guess what?
I AM MOVING AGAIN!
Hey, you can't expect me to stay in one place for NINE FREAKING YEARS!!!
I've updated my address in your system, and can only hope if you actually ever get off your lying rear ends and send this stuff out that you will make sure that our addresses are current and up to date before you send everything out.
Of course the reality is that when you do finally send anything out I'll probably be long dead, and my great grandchildren will be looking forward to receiving my Ruby Founder rewards.
I feel so cheated. Novaquark is the ABSOLUTE WORST!
Why don't you guys just give us all our money back? -

@NQ-Nyzaltar, Thank you for this detailed response. It is more than I expected to receive from NQ and I am grateful for it. I don't know if I have two STU's, I will have to check. I have used one, so I should by your indication have another one in my inventory. I will check on this shortly as I log back into the game.
As far as the remainder of the rewards, yes, it has been years, and yes until this reply, dropping the ball after all these years is exactly what I thought NQ had done. Thank you for the apology. I appreciate it. I do believe NQ should issue a formal statement of apology to all of the Kickstarter backers, and give us a detailed timeline of when to receive fulfillment of all rewards, both digital and physical. Again, I appreciate your thoughtful and well thought out reply, but not all of the founders are active on the forums, and questions are still left unanswered. Considering we've been waiting since 2016, this is just unacceptable. Please relay this to the leadership team.
Again, thank you for your reply. I look forward to a response from NQ leadership.

I like the new setup. Starting with a free base of operations, including mining equipment and a vehicle is a great way to get people a start. Plus the interactive VR tutorials are amazing. These are all things that were suggested from the beginning, and I'm glad they listened. Just dropping people in the wilderness next to the arkship and saying "Good luck, figure it out" was never going to work.
I haven't had much time to explore yet, but so far, so good. I know folks are bringing up issues, and certainly not here to discount that, but so far my gameplay experience in this release version has been positive. -
And still silence from DU. This is disgraceful.

That is the list for the Ruby founder level. You can check the kickstarter page for your rewards, not that you should expect to get them any time soon. If NQ doesn't reply soon, I may need to contact an attorney.

Be sure to follow the flight tutorial. This new system for the tutorials, and being able to access them within your included base is a really nice feature. They've definitely made some real improvements in this regard. Will help a lot of people get started in the game. Was one of my biggest gripes early on.

Considering those of us who were Founders are still waiting 6 years later for all of our Kickstarter rewards, I'd comfortably say don't hold your breath.

I feel very sorry for all those who paid more than 120 and less than 500 on the original kickstarter. From 500 up at least there's the lifetime subscription thingy - but is there any huge difference between KS, Alpha, ATV, early Beta and last minute Beta that I'm not aware of? 👀
Btw: Interesting turn that we can just pick a tile from orbit now. I kinda liked the way before, where we would place the TCU ourselves... like... after we looked at the landscape 'n stuff? But that might be just me. Curious to see how I can get to Sanctuary now. Maybe I already messed up chosing a Haven tile? Ah, whatever. If I had wormed my head into late developments and/or news I might not be as puzzled 🤪
Logged in today, claimed a tile, followed Aphelia's instructions a bit, then filled the skill cue, logged off and launched SC. At least for me, considering it's release day, everything went pretty smooth. Bummer about the DAC system... thought we did this Beta DAC thing to iron out all such issues. Ehm... lel =P
Even those of us with lifetime subscriptions are still getting screwed. Go check out the threads about the kickstarter rewards. Novaquark has a lot of explaining to do.

WHERE ARE OUR REWARDS?
I think the Founders have been more than patient. Most of us contributed back in 2016 with an expected delivery date of 2018. We were later told that there were delays, and that we would receive our rewards "soon". Soon became "later", and then "before game release date". Here we are on release day, and we're still left waiting. As a Ruby founder, I was promised the following:
I am still waiting. This is not right. I have made several inquiries via email, and through these forums, and I either get a blanket statement of "soon", or I am ignored. This is gone on for too long. JC and the team need to address this. Today. It's launch day and we're all feeling pretty cheated.

I'm pretty upset that your "big announcement" to founders on Kickstarter is that "Hey, we're releasing the game on Steam on September 27 and we'll have an update for you on your rewards..... eventually". We've been waiting 7 years now, with an expected delivery date of December 2018. I know I'm not the only one who feels cheated. You've really done poorly by your founders.

Wipe it clean and start everyone from zero.
I walked away from this game after being an Alpha Ruby founder because of my frustration of previous wipes ruining all of my progress, as well as bugs and other issues hindering my progress. Years later, I came back and saw that I was back to zero, and others had massive constructs, ships and everything, and I came in basically having to relearn the game with zero resources, and most of my schematics and all my ships gone.
It's definitely not fair that some would be left with this huge advantage while others are starting with nothing.
With that said, you can't ask the community to keep dedicating time and effort to a project only to have it wiped away again and again, especially with the ridiculously snail pace at which you have set the game up to be able to do anything substantial. An individual player would have to work for weeks or months in order to build a starship under current conditions. I still believe this is a huge obstacle to play. Still, even if you don't change this... especially if you don't change this, asking the community to dedicate time and effort to harvest, build and create only to suffer another wipe is a bridge too far.
If you are going to do a wipe, it needs to be the LAST wipe.
Make it clear what you need to do in order to have a "release build" and once all those pieces are in place, do a final wipe and start over, never to wipe again. I left for years because of a wipe, and I'm not about to dedicate time fumbling around in the minutia of this game only to see my progress wiped out again. I am very unhappy with this game already, and this would really do me in, as I'm sure it would many others. Novaquark really needs to sit down, figure out what their endgame is with the development, and decide when they would be done with having to make any further wipes.
Make one more final wipe, when you are 100% sure you are done with everything you need to do that would require a wipe, and then move forward.
Otherwise you are asking way too much of your community, and you will lose what little support you have left.
BTW, over 5 years later, and I'm still waiting on my physical rewards.
It's hard not to feel scammed.

If they were sending by USPS, of course. As this is coming from outside of the US, and because Novaquark is likely to use the cheapest possible shipper they can find, if I had to guess, they will end up using DHL or a company that will pass off to UPS for the delivery to the US address. In either case, they will not have access to, nor will they follow the USPS change of address. If they use UPS, it is possible I will be able to have the package diverted in transit. Not so sure about DHL.
Still the point is after waiting NINE YEARS, and they STILL HAVEN'T shipped yet, they shouldn't be asking the FOUNDERS to jump through hoops to get physical rewards they were promised almost a decade ago. Heck, I bet some of the founders have actually died waiting for their rewards. This whole situation sucks. Novaquark did us dirty, and it's clear they don't care about us.
