  1. The idea is to be able to do that without expending resources. Like in MS Word how you edit a document without using paper.
  2. I personally don't care what the implementation is. This is just about a tool that allows us to draft, test, and revise constructs. For those that have played robocraft, the robobay and testing area. Basically a, "MS Word," for our, "Documents," a, "Final Cut Pro," for our, "Videos," etc.

    I like something like this.
  4. We already have the capacity to draft design concepts including simulation. http://www.spacex.com/mars
  5. I see what you are saying. However, there is likely going to emergent best practices in ship design. This is why design/redesign is going to be so important. The Construct Creator makes design less cumbersome.
  6. There is a truth to this. However, how many pieces of paper does it take to draft a document in Word?
  7. I think these are all very good points. This is how blueprints get turned into constructs: https://dualuniverse.gamepedia.com/Blueprints https://dualuniverse.gamepedia.com/Industrial_Unit So it looks like players won't be able to womp things into existence. The Construct Creator would simply be a design app.
  8. There are ways to remove the cheating aspects. For example limiting the ways in which completed blueprints can be spawned. It's not cheating to have a design program any more than it is cheating to use CAD or Word to draft concepts.
  9. Hey GunDeva. Sorry. I posted my response after a long day and I was tired. I agree with your points here. My point is that that is redundant when a civilization would have the technology to draft creations, like we have now. What would be more likely going out collecting minerals and then creating/destroying creations until you get a final design, or just drafting it in a program until you get something that works on paper and then trying it out in the real world?
  10. I am pretty sure the blueprints are not going to be a 1 off thing. Once you sell a blueprint you have already given away the design, unless you can't deconstruct constructs piece by piece.
  11. Not true. Blueprints will be worth the quality of their design.
