  1. It seems the regular TUs can be used for city sized areas. Not as restricted like the smaller bubbles are with what you can do. The small bubbles seem like something to be placed when you log out for the night, place it on your ship, let it float, log back in tomorrow to find someone put your shield into the timer. No harm, hopfully they arnt waiting just outside the bubble. Start her up, put down the bubble and be on your way.

  2. I know that my org will have a way to control traffic flow within our TCU areas. So as long as people follow the paths set out, then it wont be too bad traffic flow wise. Now in common areas I am sure there will be chaos untill someone makes a roadway and we see if those hover cars follow the road instead of going every which way. people will figure it out. i dont think it will be too bad. We could even build a wall area the inner city so hover cars cant drive through it and you have to walk into the area. Flying ships will most likely have landing pads on top of buildings to keep the ground floor clear.

  3. Well if the Captain or engineer dont need to be at their post, then they can lend a hand at firing more of the guns. Situational awareness is important though. Have to see what they implement. I still feel like large multi crew ships are going to be pretty rare. 3-5 crew ships will be the norm, and fighters will be the most prevalent. Will carriers be a thing? oh yeah, but will that carrier have a whole bung of weapons on it too? maybe not with everyone wanting a bit of the action. Battleships i think will be the most rare since they actually need a larger crew to keep systems and weapons working in a fight. During transit i can see players going into cryo sleep and a skeleton crew keeping the ship up. I am definitely interested in seeing how they will set up this multi crew system. Very different way of playing a game.

  4. people who start later have to deal with it like every other MMO game. Does it reward people for playing on day one, yes absolutely it does. I would want people to pay for my game starting day one too haha.

  5. And with server wipes inside Alpha, maybe a few times in Beta, and one last one before release we all will start on the same foot getting our skills started toward getting those lovely space ships into actual space.

  6. People, listen. Alioth is a huge planet. We have a huge starting area. 20Km. Planet is 100km? I forget. It is going to take months for Alpha to figure out the bugs and server tolerance. Beta probably hash out economy balance since there will be much more players coming into beta. More months go by of testing and messing with NQs system because you can always count on players finding loop holes. Problems like our starting world running out of resources around the Ark and/or the planet itself will have been solved by either NQ or the player base. By release day we early access ypes will have a system ready to go, either together or each Orgs method to the madness. Hell i can see the area around the ark becoming a beautiful area because players found that digging everywhere around the ark made players sad pandas. Signs point new guys away from the Ark to a beginner mining area, Org HQs rise like sky-rises around a central courtyard built around the Ark. Artistic statues from talented builders dot the courtyard and recruiters walking around talking to newbros. We will figure it out guys. Don't you worry about enough cash, or minerals. That's what wars are for hehe. (P.S. I see capture of enemy constructs being a thing since we don't want to destroy our precious resources.)

  7. I want this to be handled by players. Just like in some minecraft servers where players make the rules and repair, dismantle or remove some work of some douchebag. Want clean cities? No broken/mined out spots? No abandoned constructs? Remove them. Fill it up. Repair it.

^ This....construct blocks have ownership tied to them. If a player builds a house outside the safe zone or TU area it can be destroyed or dismantled. Solve there. Inside a organizations TU? Remove that persons tags to own or build in the area, and it should be able to be removed. Inside the safe zone? That one will be tough around the Arkship. Cuz if NQ doesn't allow tearing down of old buildings, then people will have to build there houses literally around the old houses. Like build them with stilts to go over and around an abandoned house.

  8. NQ has already posted that the areas outside of safe ZONES, yes zones that's plural, are going to be PvP areas. Don't want your stuff destroyed? Don't want your trade goods raided? Don't want to have friend help you protect your house/fortress/market? Then...

Stay inside a Safe Zone....DU is not a single player, only building, survival, or go do the fetch quests from the NPCs type of game. You in the safe zone not making very much money because lots of people are their who want to stay safe too....find a organization that you can join so you can go make money, and experience more of what NQ has CREATED THIS GAME FOR.

I'm going to have fun dieing in the PvP zone with my organization. If that means i lose my precious took me a month to build super hover car, then woopie DU has blueprints, get the resources and build another one. Hell the repair system is awesome! Some rocket blows away your rear thruster? Who cares?! Find a place to chill, have the resources and maybe even keep a few (what they call em? construct blocks?) to replace the voxal blocks destroyed and a replacement thruster in my cargo chest. Think about what this game has presented so far to you, and see what you can do with it. Go play SE if you don't want anything or anyone blowing up your creations, we don't need you belly aching.
