Tax free 4 x 100+ ore pool? That's better than Haven. Also closer to Alioth and has a low-grav, airless moon nearby to base space-only vehicles. Yes. I would take it now even though it would have been more valuable earlier.

I still want mine also, for the same reasons. I was standing on a free tile within container range of a shuttle, at server start, then I realized my STU was missing. Now all of the premium tiles are claimed.

Too late to avoid it being a slap in the face... but I could go for stopping after ten slaps in the face.
 
BTW, I did finally get a response to my ticket on this, but it was just "we're working on it." Too little too late.

It doesn't take 2 weeks to figure out who got a STU and who didn't, unless they're not really trying.

Yep. NQ managed to FUBAR and SNAFU in the same release. Good job.
 
Not only do I not have my STU, but they haven't even acknowledged the two tickets I've filed about it. Maybe I should start filing a new ticket every hour until they do.

That's why I'm just focused on building a base on Haven - property tax free - and having fun flying the ship I designed at the end of beta specifically to be able to get flying with nothing but a source of T1 and a nanopack.
 
I did build a fuel factory and a general workshop to make things I can't nanocraft. Maybe I'll get back to bigger ships when the markets are healthier, but I don't expect to ever claim any taxable land. That was a PITA in beta and I'm just avoiding it now.

Understand.  Play any way that makes you happy.
 
Personally, I like to deep dive and do solo what would make a team of 6 proud - but these taxes are really bumming me out.  Have to learn to play when not tired too - sent 500,000 credits to the wrong org, because, you know, the UI doesn't just let you deposit to an org wallet, you need to search your org name each time, and mine is a superset of another.
 
Also feels like it won't be long before I hit a tax ceiling I won't be able to break through - just in terms of hours per day per character they can spend creating schematics, presuming I can find a way to fund them.

I still find it unbelievable that NQ wiped all our stuff without even having the decency of giving us a method to reassemble all of our hard work properly.
This kind of behaviour smacks of lack of respect towards the paying customer, in my opinion.
 
We have some multi core Bloops that we will need to place in the near future, but having a 2px gap around the outside of each core will not do!

To slow down progression. It remains to be seen whether it will do that or just run the remaining players out of the game.

Demolishing: In build mode you can pick up voxels and elements using their respective deploy tools (2 and 1 by default) and holding alt when you click.
 
Pro tip: Left Alt + LMB gives you a second action on most tools. With a few exceptions, the second action is to undo whatever the tool normally does.

FTUE: Good. It covers enough but is short enough to not get boring. Not too hand-holdy.
Stability: Good.
Performance: Good.
 
I don't like the voice over in the intro - just not very good acting. I don't feel it at all. And I never liked Aphelia's voice lol, but as an annoying, condescending b---, the acting is good.
 
Are the markets not working? No way to find anything on the buy/sell UI.

I was on Sanctuary 10 minutes after the server  opened, and the realized I didnt  have my STU..  Sanctuary is where I was planning to build my main base. As for why, less lag, 7 SU to Alioth, 2 SU to moon 4..

If an org would be ready to take and hold alien cores on day 1... they probably need to get a job and move out of mom's basement. So, no big deal.

Because that would be par for the course and I'm not getting a clear answer on the DAC question, I just did the markeedragon thing for 3 months at the beta rate. That should get me in as soon as the servers are up (and I can DL the patch) and give NQ 3 months to explain how to use the DAC to continue the sub.

You can use L stabs as wings. That's my go to for larger ships.
 
The others are all good ideas. Long thin engines would be nice, especially.

I don't get why power management would come to ships.  There is already fuel.  Fuel is the power management.  If we get a nuclear or dark matter power source upgrade that does away with fuel, that would make sense.  But, I don't get why fuel is not enough pwr mngt for ships.  Give pwr mngt to static cores.
