Different attitudes here... I personally rely more in the constructive (and healthy) ones, anyway. Regardless what will actually happen with the projects. No one knows. But you can walk the way with the affine people you can find. Then, your possibilities to achieve things (individually or colectively) will grow up. That's my view. By the way, did you hear what the cowboy says?

Good idea, But i would recommend a special section on the DU page with this info, That way it can be handled so all these info packages can also be used as in-game links on screens If that will be a feature in the released version.  Also having a section in the DU page would mean you can sort of advertise your builds and Novians can look what they want outside the game and make a pick

As multiple product desigms hit the markets with diverse characteristics there may not be enough info built into DU to describe a particular product.

With this in mind I propose a url field that will enable the seller/designer to link to a website/youtube video that describes the product in more detail. (Or to allow embedding of youtube vids into product the description panel)

As I'm not in the pre alpha i dont' know if this is a valid idea or not... but here it is anyway

would love to see that, it would also allow for a new branch of work, the scoopers. If people can make Cookies out of it (we renamed the in-game cash to cookies) there will be a market and an opportunity for it

And what about mutant weapons, biological lethal weapons?
Just an excess of a rare substance in the blood of a pet in DU, and there you got it, gosh!
    The Mutant Spider Dog.
Oh, let me get the f...ck out of here!!

I would prefer the battlestar galactica FTL jump approach. Technically its a instant jump that can only have a certain distance into "known" space. that maybe with additional modules or training could get bigger, and there is a CD on the jump after arriving what could be a nice strategic addition.

Looking forward to finally playing this game in the next few months. Plan to eventually build a space station to act as a trading hub, and a big carrier ship to explore with. Huge fan of Stargate, Wars, and Trek, as well as Battlestar Galactica and Metal Gear, so much of my inspiration will come from those. I think it's awesome that somebody has already made one ship inspired by Stargate, I look forward to buying the blueprints off of them.

Once the NDA is lifted, I'll be streaming the game on Twitch whenever I'm not bogged down with homework.

We are the Foundation of the Ancestral Flame (FAF)
The FAF is a casual organization for people that dont like large organizations but believe in the power of the Flame.
We are semi-spiritualists because we believe in the ,,Ancestral Flame", the flame that created the universe.
Roleplay is welcome and our focus is mostly gonna be trading early game so we can establish a ground for our followers to spread into the Universe.
The FAF is a neutral organization and will be open for all kinds of people.
Atleast most of them. We don't really want people that constantly want to kill or rob other people or cause trouble within the organization, we Follow the Flame, wherever it takes us
And we welcome anyone that thinks the same way we do.

If you want to join just send an application or hop on our discord: https://discord.gg/xXC7gcJ and we'll have a talk and maybe we think the same way.

i agree with original poster, names andpositions should not be visible on a PvP open war map. However, i think you should be able to set your own position to be known to friendlies.

Alsan Teamaro reacted to Eternal in Hostile Zones - Remove Username and player position information from Minimap
    Proposal:
Hide Username and player position information from Minimap on Hostile zones. These information should not exist because of PVP. Make these information available only on Safe zones for the sake of convenience.

    Here is a scenario that I was thinking;
This game can potentially have guerilla warfare. You can build a reconnaissance vehicle, paste Soil or Forest Soil mineable materials on the Voxel Airframe Skin of your Dynamic Construct Vehicle so it can stay camouflaged from afar. Also, the Armor that you will wear must blend with the environment to provide camouflage to your Avatar. On an Arctic environment, you will use white Voxels on your constructs and paste Snow mineable materials on exposed surface. You will use the Gun-Elements in this game as stationary howitzer battery in which a flying vehicle can easily spot making it vulnerable to airstrike - you will roof it with voxels and you will paste Soil / Forest Soil mineable materials on the roofing to camo it from aerial view. .
The things that happened in Vietnam war will also happen to this game. People will create underground tunnels in this game for strategy and survival. War will be strategic taking advantage of the environment if you don't have sophistication in technology, equipment/resources, manpower, and firepower to go to war on direct confrontation.

These will not be possible if you will continue to display Username information and player position information from Minimap which give away player position - I suggest we remove their display on Hostile zones and show only the avatar, in which you have to visually spot and then shoot.

We've discovered and learnt (or remembered) to be again "sola arbo kun multaj folioj", a motto we used to say in our native language and which means "a tree only of many leaves".
And there we stood, singing those last verses with irrepressible emotion ...

I want to go with you without cold
    Like birds, like the river
    Slowly to sing
Drinking the birth of the day
The earth, the night, the sea air
    And the promisse to stay

Our eyes were full of love, but bathed in tears. How to explain that we were happy and sad at the same time? Happy because we had begun to truly love, we had begun to learn it in our community, Natumo, and our hearts had awakened and expanded, calming and clarifying our minds. And sad because, paradoxically, we had to part, right now, having tasted life like never before, now that we lived every moment as if there were no tomorrow. And today came that day.

There would not be a tomorrow - not on the planet that saw us born - to continue sharing alongside those who stayed there. Among us and among them were our women, our men and children, our brothers all. It was no longer a legend or a theory, we had become what they called a people with only one heart. But the Ark Ship was about to depart ... and would never return.

In our farewell, under the tilo -the lime tree-, in Naturomo, which had been silent but warm witness and companion in so many assemblies, in so many parties and games, now we sang one of those sweet tunes of our ancestors, one that oozed life and beauty; one that had passed from generation to generation. It was called "O riso que me deste" (the laugh you gave me), but now would be, for ever, our farewell song.

Is it not life so, full of contrasts and changes?. But always Life.

Core Design has been created by its CEO, CoreVamore, a Dual Universe builder and Industrialist.

Core Design is the gathering place for associates, partners and clients of the Core Design community.

Core Design focuses on its two main projects:

A space ship design, called the Nomad, that will go through many iterative designs, improving over time as Dual Universe develops, and...

"Project Two" - details of which will be released at a future date.
Core Design's focus on quality, performance and excellence in design should ensure competitive and fun products.

So, with 24/7 servers coming in the not too distant future... I figured now was the time to start being involved.

I learned about DU from Chris Roberts' post on the Star Citizen news feed and jumped into the kickstarter with both feet. I've been involved with Second Life since 2004 and always wished it could be what is essentially Dual Universe's design goal.  So, here I am and I look forward to building ships, cities, and whatever else happens to seem interesting to me in the future on worlds near and far.

    See you... out there.
