haha, I was just thinking this but more extreme. It's a game after all but in RL they would have to break down and rebuild and create the schematics from scratch right? I feel like that would be the same here as well. They can't just magically take their scanner and have the entire design of the ship. If such tech existed then they mix the metals or something to prevent that sort of scanning to begin with. With the future comes new things to future proof as well.. We can go back and forth and argue silly crazy complex ways to prevent it. But a t the end of the day it's a game and the only people who will want to cheat the system have 0 creative designs and just want to take other peoples work and sell it for 1 credit just to troll and make people stop making designs.

A simple imprint on the ship preventing blueprinting it is great. It's simple and not over doing it. If someone wants to copy the design by building it by hand and selling it again so be it. That at least takes time and effort. But having people at a market sell blueprints and you buy one and duplicate them and sell them for 1 credit each or something silly just ruins any future of people wanting to be creative. I mean if you guys want to freedom then lets speak freedom. 99.999999999% of players should not be able to manufacture ships because well that does not seem realistic. They must spend years RL building shipyards lol. Sometimes little things are needed to make it work out in the long run.

The only reason people don't want people to be able to prevent others being able to protect their work so they can take all the players designs and mass sell it making the system almost useless and not enjoyable and being a troll who wants nothing more but a ruined game and then the players start quitting the devs run out of cash they try to sell the company but it ends up folding and then we have nothing. All because someone wanted to steal ship designs

I like to see a system in the game that prevents you from being able to duplicate it. For example the blocks/ship itself are all tagged some how to prevent blueprint production. That being said if someone built it by hand piece by piece then that was up to them. You got a problem with it?

Great suggestion mate. Yeah I would been the joke with my Camera it's neat but it's still not a DSLR. I would brought one those Mirrorless ones if I had collage loans/money again haha. That is sort the future of Cameras now. Either way thanks everyone for your advice so far

Yeah that last part seems a bit evil. Hey guys we wanted to let you know we are going to let a few users stream and or record before EVERYONE else no matter how much you participated or paid into the game. We felt it was better to give them the headstart I'm tiny ass Youtuber and stream here and there as well. But the Alpha Vanguards or whatever already have advantages over us all by learning the game for a week or 2 ahead of us.

Why did you pick the P900?: I never was big into photography that being said I was always big into long range photography. I always found it unique and Interesting to try to spot where is Waldo sort of speak and explore the world from afar. I enjoy the sky and I feel with a Camera like this I could take some interesting pictures of it during the night and day. What are the cons?: It's not a DSLR Camera. Even though I'm new to all this stuff 100% this is a big deal for most people and highly not recommended as a first Camera. It does not have detachable lens. Meaning the best you can do is use filters their pretty much this tinny lens you screw at the end of the big lens called Filters. The Senors is quite small from my Understanding for a Camera like this it really should be a minimal of 1 inch sensors and I think this about 4 times less making it only slightly better the the better Phone Cameras on the Market for quality of pictures. Camera only works well in bright light. Only saves as JPG and not in Raw. What are the pluses?: Simple to use all in 1 Camera. Has the highest Zoom level then any other camera without spending insane amount on lens $1000's+ Don't have to keep swapping lens out for different ranges. Saves money in the long run as you can't buy new lenses haha. It's like owning a hand held telscope and lets you zoom into the Moon and other planets in our sky. Can be used for perverts in the bush. Enjoy that jail time. Would you recommend the P900 to others? When I researched this camera the answer would be overall No unless you are unique like me and are not going for the most professional level and don't mind images that don't turn out perfect but as well as someone who mostly is wanting for zooming content and when I mean zooming I mean ZOOMING. If you are someone looking for a camera overall then I would highly suggest a Canon or Nikon with a detachable Lens for sure. You will get much better pictures and overall you will learn more about Cameras overall. This Camera is only good for people looking for really the distance of zoom and ease of use and budget on that zoom level. Will you ever get a DSLR?: I will consider it if I enjoy the P900 a lot. The current info we have is it will be 125x optical zoom with a 1" sensor. This alone for the Sensor is really great news. The zoom might be too much because already at 83x it's hard to see things clearly because of things like heat shimmers and other environmental effects. Canon also has a Camera with a 65x Optical zoom called the Canon Powershot sx60. Your poor why the hell? I'm quite poor and I love my life. The whole Alpha team should be renamed to Pre-Alpha or something around those lines to be less misleading to others.

TBH no harm over planning even if it's to make the infrastructure that is static for the enjoyment of things. Consider it sort like Minecraft you do it because. That being said I assume wheels and such might become a thing down the road. The thing I hope that will happen though is a rail like system how ever big or small it is. I fear one the issues here be more physics based like the wheels and a rail system. Though you could make a rail system next to no physics but it still follow a path finding so more CPU calculation still. Either way have fun go nuts just remember going overboard is not bad just be realistic knowing a lot of the functions might not be implemented or at least for a while.

I kind of hope auto mining is not a thing and it's always hand mining with advance manual methods overtime to mine more. I think rather then limit how mining is overall you just make the most basic materials easier to come by and make system materials a lot harder and rarer to work with. This way there is still lots of value in the materials but if you have a crew of 10 people out Mining basic materials for the city and such you can in say 5 hours all mining have enough materials to build quite a few buildings and such. But it's the actual functional blocks and such where it becomes a lot more of a harder task to mine for. Automated Mining just becomes messy. Do you let people with 100 accounts afk mine, do you allow people to spam miners all over the place, what about the performance of running such operations around the universe 24/7 taxing the servers. Even the LUA scripts run local last I recall so I highly doubt there will be much in Automated Mining. That is my 2 cents though, As long you tweak mining to not make it so one person has to spend a week just to build a small shuttle I don't think it will be an issue. These devs seem to be more about go big or go home style as well.

I would say I doubt there will be a removal of NDA for their phase of the testing. Their job right now is more testing quite a lot of half implemented features and I feel it would give the wrong impressions. Also once people record/stream they might want to join us. The worst thing is to advertise a bunch of gameplay they can't be part of. So it would make sense the NDA only gets lifted with the official Alpha starts.

I would say it be less then 1% by far. I know 1% seems decent and fair but when your dealing with massive mass and scanning you could cut that down to 0.01% and it might even still seem like a lot of resources. That being said it still would take a long long time before people mined out all the resources. That also being said the spawn for new players can move. We are in space after all expanding and changing our universe is important. Not sure what will happen later in the game maybe users can be born in a city or maybe a new fresh colony far far away.

I could not read it all I started to get some brain melting issues with some the comments. So if this was said I'm sorry. I think the plan is to move the Spawn overtime to new planets. If resources run dry I assume players can start on a new planet overtime. That being said I think it would take a VERY long time to run out we saw claim grid sizes, etc. The world is insane size and I doubt you have to spend hours just to fine one vein. Maybe special ores but why would special ores be on the starter planet anyways For fun you could add small meteorites that crash into the planet time to time replenishing a small amount of resources for emergencies and quickies and such. But that would be just a fun / rare thing.

I think you have to take a page from Minecraft at times. You have to remember you can't compare this to Eve or Real Life always. People will make a big city just because they can enjoy it and will do it. I will myself visit these cities just because I enjoy checking them out maybe even join a group just to help harvest resources and be a labour

I would vote but I would of broke the tie and refuse to participate in such heinous crimes.

I actually wonder how well their engine handles the dynamic terrain changes of say 1km deep ore. Actual players digging that out. I guess seeing how big the station and the tech with the LOD not bad but some game engines I played around you dig a massive hole your ram usage goes right through the roof.

Space Engineers is a really bad game to use for examples in Dual Universe. The Engine is quite bad the developers spend 99% of their time fighting with its limitations. The game is alsoi quite a diff type of game it's a mechanics crash simulator where Empyrion is more your exploring / RPG style space game. Both with the Sandbox voxel building.

Sadly I don't interact much because I spend all my time playing other Space Games and helping test / provide feedback to them like Empyrion since it's out for me to actually provide feedback and be part of. Though I should social more here I still rather spend my effort doing something.
