As the title suggests, there's no rule specifying we can't, so we can build in teams (e.g. builds representing an org's entry) Right? And if so, will the prize go to a sort of nominated 'leader' for that team, or will the rdms system be up and supporting org owned assets by the end? (That last thing is for if NQ responds)

Figured I'd start up a thread for the new web series myself and the media team at BOO are doing now alongside our other meme productions. We'll be releasing multiple episodes (roughly once per month) until we reach the conclusion of this series. This is a film mash up of every Sci Fi movie I could find, all stitched together to tell one story. PS: Looking for someone good with audio mixing to dub voices etc. hit me up if interested.

Good stuff, would really like to see an Eve Online Radio equivalent here. Despite the disagreements over it in the past, don't think anyone wanted it to flop, so glad it's coming back. I'm sure BOO would like a segment on there.

Hi everyone, 
 
As some of you were wondering a bit a bout this unannounced video, here are a few clarifications:
- This is the first tutorial video regarding Pre-Alpha gameplay.
- What is in it is subject to change quite significantly in the near future (with community feedback and also several changes already planned). Also, as the Pre-Alpha test sessions are still quite limited for the time being, we prefer to see Pre-Alpha tester focusing on testing what's in game instead of recording videos to make tutorials that would become quickly obsolete (you will have all the time to do your own tutorials in Alpha, when UI will be not far from being in its definitive version).
- Releasing publicly this video wasn't a mistake. It was done on purpose: we are aware that a lot of backers didn't have (yet) the opportunity to have access to the game, so it seemed to us it was necessary to give them some preview of the game mechanics currently in-game. Moreover, we hope this will help, in addition to the in-game tutorials - a lot of Pre-Alpha testers to master more quickly all the tools available.
- While we considered not opening comments at first, we came to the conclusion that it would be better to allow them for a  public video. Comments are now opened on this video.
- This video is not under NDA so the content can be used by other Youtubers.
- This video doesn't replace the DevDiary of this month.
- There will be other (shorter) Pre-Alpha tutorial videos soon (between today and tomorrow) to help Pre-Alpha testers grasping other game mechanics currently in play.

One thing of note from this video that I noticed (kind of hard not to) is that Micro Voxels will apparently be possible in Dual Universe, something that nobody was really sure would be feasible or not. 
 

 
 
That means all the crazy tiny details from Everquest Landmark with the Micro Voxels you could pull off in that game are, in theory, reproducible now 


 
 
I'm really excited about the potential for this. 

Yeah, I mean, sure, but... why would anyone make it illegal IN the game? They would be like potions or elixirs in any other MMORPG. Why would smugglers need to be in check? 


Best case scenario, a big corporation makes a lot of them, makes money, buys more army than any other faction and pulverises any competition and the game is turned to JUAREZ Universe and we all play as space drug-lords and hustlers.


Organisations? Nah, call them Cartels, turn legates to O.Gs and call the admins "The Feds".


I hope the composer for the music in-game has a really goood sense of hip-hop music, cause Space-Cadillac ain't playin' no techno yo. If it ain't Strait Outta Arkship, it ain't cool yo.

That's why there are safezones
That's why you can conquer territory and use rdms to prevent ppl from building there.
That's why you can build  protection bubbles on that tile to prevent attacks.
That's why you can (and should) play with friends.

I like the idea of automatic fuel reloading, it could be a useful thing in case of emergency etc.

Radar is already implemented, see latest dev diary. I hope they go for different radar systems/different mechanics (like tweak proposed, radar, radar, gravi and temperature). That would add a deep layer of ship building and you could build indivisible ships in radar/ladar but not in temperature

I was driving today and I decided to switch over to Fox XM to see if I could catch it on the radio, and I just so happened to do it about 15 seconds before the bit came on.
