  1. I found my freedom in Starfield. Not an MMO but it has elements of DU that I find comforting. The future of Dual Universe - there is nothing dual about it. The singularity that was DU is now a dense dwarf where nothing moves. Ever. This i good bye. The final good bye since I leave this forum as well.
  2. That was my last straw. Bla bla bla. Metaverse bla bla. It's only a game! Bla bla bla. Mockning the paying customers, really? Don't throw good money after bad.
  3. sniffing: I feel a wiff of smoke from organisations burning. If this will be playable as solo or duo I would consider staying a tad late though to start doing beta stuff after the public launch. Looking at the market today (Thursday just after work ) I find nothing to buy and nothing to sell. I appreciate the effort but just like the wipe killed my excitement and lust to build stuff - the launch did it too when I was drenched in pre fabricated everything from the beta. I have re started Elder Scrolls V just to pass time before the return of play ability. (that's how desperate I am)
  4. As much as one would team up and be one of many in a battle ship, there is one problem. Time zones! One universe and players from all over the world. An don't even think 24 hours. Work, sleep and bodily functions leave you with 2-4 hours tops. LUA is still to cumbersum to use even when leaching on lua-dev. DRM still does not work out as it should. My friend can give me rights to harvest but I can't return the favour. Solo was never an option so we duo-play but we are back on Haven not to go bust on tile tax. There is a constant need for T2 and above and we have to buy it and schematiskt too. You might think a player driven economy is good. Competition makes you stronger? Competition creates bankruptcy! At least in a DU. I activated my Steam month and at the end of the year I will have to re evaluate my participation. My friend got a few month more prepaid subscription to play -or not
  5. we the people who are trying to find an enjoyable way to P L A Y this game, by the people for the people have had it with the corporate style of "playing" a month after the release the one world is brimming with "user" content blueprinted in the 6 years of beta New players taken aback by the steep learning curve starts mining and selling ore (some game play huh) Next they buy a 2-6 million blueprint and buys the elements and honeycomb and fly away in to the sunset. We (me and my friend) started out in the beta for a few months before the announcement of wipe. Now we play the full Monty as we see fit. Yes we had blueprints from the beta but they stay mostly in the Nanopack. We bought blueprints of nice ships and used industries to manufacture A L L the parts. Only tier 2 and 3 ore we had to buy since the ore scanner L and the uncommon mining units L was useless in finding A N Y ore above tier 1. Did I mention we have a day time job too? We are struggling to find reasons to stay in the "game" Let's just finish this ship and manufacture only warp cells and kergon fuel so we can explore this relatively empty universe and look at all the beta blueprinted mega complexes made in the image of god before NQ goes bust. A bleak future awaits us all. It's all too sad. Believe all things Hope all things Endure all things

  7. Sadly no word on LUA scripting. Avatar idk Recycling is welcome Talents for schematics meaning -2% less time to make?
  8. Being a fairly new player beta TESTER I have yet to try lua scripting myself. I did help my wife with her programming though. Talent points - After working out how they work - idk Blueprints - Have done some basic patterns but without talent points I'll have to start over anyhow - idk Lua reworking - Since the WIPE kills my Eagle copy with HUD and nice to have things - idk I have played for 3 weeks (my wife for 3 months) Starting over doesn't seem to bad. But When is the update? When is the wipe? In the words of Fleetwood Mac: Why don't you ask him if he's going to stay? Why don't you ask him if he's going away? Why don't you tell me what's going on? Why don't you tell me who's on the phone? Why don't you ask him what's going wrong? Why don't you ask him the latest on his throne?
  9. An un-othodox solution made my day. I ran Dual Universe in GeForce NOW witch was, well kind of slow and only one hour session in - play for free mode. When I started DU in normal mode it worked again! My theory is that what ever incompatibility issue was saved in my game files in the old version - it was straighten out in GeForce Nothing is impossible Everything is possible Maybe just not likely.
  10. From May 22nd when I was invited by my partner I have had to re install the game numerus times. On May 29th I contacted support who recommended - delete DU cache from inside the game's debug menu in the top right corner of the login screen - deinstall DU using the uninstaller in the DU install folder - delete all data in the DU install folder - delete all data in C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\NQ (your install drive letter might vary) - delete all data in C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Novaquark (your install drive letter might vary) This solved the problem temporarily. I had made large changes to constructs prior to the crash and suspected unsaved cache on game ending to be the culprit. Yesterday I took a abandoned atmospheric construct and made it mine and brought it to my new site. To day (after the last update) I encountered a crash on game start again. I have un-installed and installed - updated and so forth over and over again to no avail. The game is dead in the water. My partner has a computer with the same setup as I and have played for three months without these kind of problems. To open a second support case feels, well ..... To remove and install again is so time consuming I choke on it. screen.bmp
