  1. Full wipe. Leave none of it behind and focus all your time on having a smooth launch with a big day 1 update that allows it to launch on steam
  2. current building is super weird noxdragon! You can't just build anything within the cube of design easily. You have to first place down your core, then you have to place it from an object on the core or extends from it. This is really weird that we can't just start from any position within the cube. The easiest way to start building is to start from the cube then use the arrows to move it, and make sure it doesn't extend outside the cube.
  3. Just split missions up to a once a week mission (big one) and daily's, that are within your planetary body. This would help control inflation so money isn't just being flooded into the market.
  4. There's literally nothing to do for a new player, and a wipe isn't going to fix the new player experience. It might be for 3-6 months, but then they'll be back to square one where their game is designed poorly and there isn't anything to do for new players as the vets have it all handled already (market production at most efficiency) and then they'll be stuck again.
  5. I believe that calibration should just be removed, and instead mining units production levels should be reduced to compensate or limit the amount of mining units per account to 25 with max skills. Current production levels of mining units are making asteroid mining completely pointless. I came back after a couple weeks and i had like half a million tier 1 ore, more than I'll ever use at my current playing hours.
  6. Performance parts have slots on them that allow you to insert enhancers. Enhancers are made using parts manufactured, and then recycled in the recycler. for example: Every time i recycle an engine I have a chance of getting an enhancer for engines. The % chance of getting an improved enhancer (higher tier) is lower and lower, with up to 5 tiers of enhancers. This would apply to engines, containers, etc and allow new players and veterans alike to partake as it's just a % chance of conversion. The tier of scrapped parts determines the tier of enhancer that you're trying for
  7. Eve online and soon starbase as well as star citizen have insurance for pvp so the effects aren’t as harsh. Basically you can pay a set amount to insure the vehicle incase of total destruction. You only get up to 2/3rds back I was thinking (if it’s not already in) there could be a mission system where people who were killed recently can request a rebuild of their ship (like a go fund me) by the community and then the community members get rewards based on how much they’ve contributed to the community. of course it could be abused by alts but currently they abuse everything so…. Anything to make pvp more fun and less punishing so more people go outside the safe zone.
  8. My idea suggestion that you should be able to boost parts with accelerators that are generated using scrap parts (not scrap, ore, or refinement) was one solution. you create a new item called accelerators or performance enhancers. They are made using only crafted parts consumed in a recycler. The enhancers basically improve parts like engines so they get modifiers for better performance. Essentially they are garbage pits to reduce market flooding that everyone wants because they improve things like fuel performance, cargo total hold, weapons etc. How I envision it (subject to change) is you take all those excess airplane parts and run them through the recycler, out churns enhancers that are like a fuel source. Whenever a ship part is damaged/destroyed, it requires additional enhancers to get the same benefit. The enhancer chips themselves can also be part dumps, with a chance every time you recycle into it that it goes up a tier in benefits. Two fold dump mechanics - one for the fuel, one for the chips that insert into the parts and give a % benefit. This helps circumvent the issue of +1 to speed, +2 to speed, etc flooding the market and making it impossible to navigate. They're just basic enhancers and different tiers, that give different benefits depending on the part you put them into. You could make it part specific if you wanted to go in depth - such as an engine enhancer requires engines to be recycled
  9. Mining units are lazy design. Instead of making the mining gameplay loop more interesting and fun to encourage people to play daily they say [filtered] it and implement auto mining. they are so incredibly broken. I haven’t been playing because I am awaiting the wipe news and within about a month using my alts and main accounts I have 500k of T1 ore and a bunch of other tiers. That’s just insane. Why would I mine asteroids? In one 8 hour session mining basic or advanced roids you might make 50-100k ore but that’s labor intensive! I literally log in and reset my miners once a week. I don’t have to play because that’s way more ore than I ever used anyway.
  10. the easiest way to do this is to have mega asteroids that show up with this modifier. Basically the asteroid only has a few mega pockets of ore and everyone has fair shot since it’s tagged as such.

  12. I may be a noob to this game but I've played games since Ultima Online, and play a lot of niche games starbase/wurm online/anarchy online/shadowbane/star citizen/etc over the years. 1. Why not do what eve online does and sell skill packs? They started doing this because without them it encourages people to use alts to bypass the slow skill gains. You could instead be selling skill multipliers that allow us to choose or skill gain pace, and not encourage 5 alt accounts. You could even sell recharge rates for MU as an added bonus. 2. Less skittles is more. A few large rocks per area is preferred, this gives carpel tunnel scanning all these. 3. Resource sinks - you need these for markets to function. There's several ways you can do this - 1. Buybacks - you offer to buy back at a set amount, which allows the market value to remain stable and never go lower than cost to produce, and allows a resource sink for people to sell directly to recycler to get cash quickly. 2. Maintenance - This one tends to be far less favorable by players, but implementing maintenance does have some advantages on the pvp side. Players will have to recruit, and maintain a base instead of just plop it down and pay the fee. They will have to mine resources to maintain the structures. 3. Research - A Tale in the Desert had a unique way of burning resources, it had a community research hub that affected an area in the game so in this game it would affect a 100 hex's and all the neighbors could dump tons of ore into it which then would provide a 5% mining/industry boost (just spitballing here) or more depending on the amount of ore (massive amount) inputed. 4. Casino - I call it the casino, but it's actually really effective and fun way to get rid of resources. Basically let's say there's a ship part - a M wing, and you have a thousand M wing on you. You then could "boost" one M wing with the thousands of M Wings you have to make a +% performance improvement on that one wing. These usually come with some sort of low % chance that the M Wing you burn to improve the other M Wing will succeed. 5. Full PVP destruction - the idea is that the PVP itself is the recycler. Unfortunately there's not anything in the game encouraging fair pvp just griefing - killing solo miners, killing solo freight runners, etc. If the pvp updates turn to be fruitful then PVP could provide a way to reduce resources. 6. Get rid of Mining Units. Having an infinite production of ore will destroy economy
