I usually package them and label it e.g. “Teoma scans” there’s your book.

A successful DU advert would have to contain certain key phrases, such as:
Now Free to Play
New Cash Shop
Under New Management

Your link is broken

Having said all that; I did almost quit when they nerfed core speeds to accommodate pvp gameplay. There have been plenty of conflicts between the playstyles and I don’t think all the complaints are invalid. Just the one I quoted in the post above.

If you do not agree to PVP, you will not be able to fly the ship to other planets.
or you won't dig up any asteroids. This is the biggest misconception about PVP.
radar range is 2 SU. As long as you don’t fly in a straight line between planets, your chances of getting ganked are negligible. There just aren’t enough pirates out there to cover the possible routes. Space is huge.
Asteroids.. so imagine, there are dozens of asteroids out there. And the travel time between them is 20 minutes to an hour or more, assuming you had them all mapped out by proximity. Now imagine you are a pirate. And you know there is someone out there mining one of these asteroids. But you don’t know which one. Are you going to spend your whole allotment of playtime for that day flying from one empty asteroid to the next, hoping to catch a miner. ?
If you are mining an asteroid close to the safezone, or an exotic, there is a good chance that a pirate will come along eventually. There are lots of people out here in disposable haulers getting ore. Getting caught by pirates is rare. This is experience btw, not theory.
I am not interested in pvp (in this game anyway), so I don’t pvp. The effect of pvp on the non pvp population is dramatically overblown imo.
-in before “ I can’t get plasma without joining legion”. None of the people who typically complain about pvp have any use for that anyway.

It’s not going to end up what it started out to be. That much is beyond argument.
I think Sethioz’s ideas are valid. Whether it’s too late or not is a comical debate, because this forum has been all about how DU is circling the drain for the year and a half I’ve been around it. They were supposed to have run out of money and closed the game a long time ago, and there are still new people popping up on the discord every day. There is a lot of dodgy math with dubious inputs going on here. Future certainly murky.
Sethioz plays now. As it has been established, really not the same game as it was <per-alpha>.
I wonder who has a more relevant perspective on the game today.

if you don’t pay rent on your non-HQ territories, they go inactive for two weeks, then become available -but after someone else puts down a Territory unit they have to start a two week requisition timer on any static constructs they want to take over. You will get a message in notifications and you have two weeks to come get your stuff before it becomes their stuff.
if you don’t pay you subscription, a 90 day timer starts when it lapses. Everyone can see the timer if they mouse over your constructs. After 90 days the constructs (dynamic, static, and space) go unclaimed and can be picked up. Haven statics are apparently safe.
Somewhere around 48 hours after your 90 day timer ends, your HQ tiles will go abandoned as well.
-
Two things:
1) this forum is just a troll-trap to keep bitter ex-players off more heavily trafficked forums; don’t expect NQ to come here for suggestions.
2) asteroid mining Probably more your speed. There’s more work up front but you can build up a stockpile and then coast on it. It’s not as expensive or hard to get into as you might think.
-
Hadron has a pretty comprehensive circle set, not sure about 45s though.
-
I went to Penrose to see if I could find them there but all their dispensers are offline. Also saw some Jeronimo ships with timers on them. Doesn’t bode well.

Aerogics had a vtol pocket speeder in beta that would hover and extend a force field if you got out of the seat in midair. It worked pretty well. I know the code was in the ecu, but that’s all I know. They aren’t selling it now that I know of. You could hit up Krengus and ask, assuming he’s still playing.
-
But if all you had were some containers of starter stuff, and you still want to come back, I’ll give you a ship and some resources if you hmu in game.
-
Actually Danny, if you tell me roughly where your tiles are/we’re and what name they are under, I’ll check in them for you.
-
-
I’m pretty sure if your sub lapses so does the HQ status on your tile. Wouldn’t make any sense to bounce all your constructs but keep the tile locked down forever.

500K quanta per week is insane... definitely not meant for all gamer types. I didn't come here to focus on managing my market 80% of the time and pushing to get enough resources to sell (it's a pain just to get the resources and parts I need to build what I want to build lol).
I gave up on paying rents out of mining and started running missions. 1 loop of the inner planets with a 2kt hauler can pay for a whole month of rents after fuel etc. Static mining to pay rents is definitely doing it the hard way, unless you have some real high value tiles. Keep that ore for the factory.

Coming out of beta I think is when the market window defaulted to only showing the closest market. M6 has most things; the more far flung markets are pretty sparse and good luck finding what you need on Madis or Thades though. Despite the whole schematic thing and the ore throttling and all the complaining about people not being able to make everything anymore, lots of people have managed to build large private factories. Ask in general and there’s a good chance you will find someone who is making or will make any specialty part you need.

Polished duralumin maybe? I remember seeing my reflection in it in beta.

Getting invalid construct error this morning while trying to work on a speeder.. yes submit a ticket, I know. New bugs introduced though?
haven’t looked at the new screen fonts but more variety is good.

Wrecks could contain exclusive ornaments, trinkets and decorations and other things which have tangible value but don't destroy the basic market (or whatever sad excuse for a market exists right now.) <snip>
In three years a few of us got a fireplace, two wall decorations, a set of stone chairs and a "weather thing". And an XS space fuel tank.We need more toilets obviously.

Yes, there could be devices in your local network causing issues. 1000% more probable if you have WiFi, even if your PC is directly wired. There are also router viruses to watch for.
Edit: "1000%" == hyperbole for effect.
See, hyperbole can be used for good too.
So you’re saying I use it for evil?? I am insulted, we shall duel!
oh, not implemented, nm.

Talemai Moon 3 is claimed for 6.92% claimed (133 tiles out of 1922)... Hyperbole much?
I warped back to Alioth... *sigh*
Ok. I’m not good at numbers. That was how I remembered it. I am there scanning since last night. Edit -I posted a response without reading and the thread has changed course drastically. Just…wow

We got out there asap after work and the planet was already a patchwork of ore flowers. Moon 3 looked about 25% claimed. The whole model is flawed. Unless power consolidation IS the model..

Only takes a few seconds to pack and unpack. If you die the packages will unpack themselves. The scans will all be loose in your nanopack again.
