Making it alpha team only would, in my view make it pointless, since some of the selected alpha members no longer appear to frequent this board. Making it open for everyone to see may help spead the word to new players or people generally interested. Me ? I couldn't design anything to save my life. But I would be very eager to see others efforts.

I can't remember if it was Gran Turismo 5 or 6 that allowed you to import your own playlist from music tracks on your ps3. So how about importing/playing your own playlist? If you get to the stage of exploring then having your own music could be quite relaxing.

I am not against pay to play. However, I think for newcomers, a period of grace should be involved to see if they actually want to play. Let me explain. Recently, I bought Evochron Legacy. The game was only $24. But the demo period was 90 hours.THe tutorial lasted at least 3 and a half hours. So ample game time of 90 hours to make your mind up. And this from a one man team. Someone who actually cared enough for you to see what he had developed. I bought the game straight after the tutorial because it had me hooked. My hopes for DU are the same. That it will hook us all by the end of the demo if not before. However, we are slightly ahead of the curve, and getting straight info from the devs that I suspect that it is a foregone conclusion :D

Thank you for the welcome guys and gals. Much appreciated. If you are getting bored with elite, try evochron legends. You can play the full demo for 90 hours i think before you buy. Made by one man and in my mind does things slightly better than elite.

I understand what you mean. Even my 2 year old lappy is starting to get hot. But I have a dual xeon desktop so it runs it without skipping a beat. Thank you for the welcome.

Not gonna condemn, just trying to put all points forward. I can't imagine wow without raids as I have never played it. Right now I am going through the Evochron games. My job and my OCD will only allow me to play at certain times. So knowing I can do solo stuff is important to me.

Not pretentious at all. Opinions make the world go round, and I certainly won't dislike anyone for having a different opinion.

Sorry to bump. But am glad of the information. Trying to learn lua right now is not something I have time for. But looking at the friendly replies on the forum, I am sure people will post them.

Why would anyone want reward or in game fame for trying to help make a better game? The privilege of testing should be enough reward in and of itself.

Sorry to bump the thread, but I just have to put my input here. I hope that these are not set in stone already. Some of us don't like social interaction. Doing community goals are not really appealling to us that can not do social interaction. Before you label me as a miserable sod, let me explain. I am not NT ( neural typical ) I am autistic. I have aspergers syndrome, so doing anything with others is very difficult. So if certain parts of the game are removed for single players then we are not able to enjoy the full game. To read the above statements, I automatically start trying to work out how many times I will have to buy accounts to build a Stargate on my own. I hope you see where I am coming from. And I hope some concideration will be given to those of us who find it hard to interract and wish to go our own way.
