  1. While I believe the devs can ban scammers even if not specifically stated in the EULA, for "player conduct un becoming" , sort of like UCMJ article 134, I'm not sure they would. As stated before, they want this to be as much of a sandbox as possible, and don't want to hinder/help the player economy. We have all been scammed at one point in our lives. It's how we learned. The old days where your word was your honor and people took it as bond, no longer applies. I'm afraid it's now "caveat emptor".
  2. I also believe there is no gravity to speak of .... but I can see it now, fleets of dump truck ships, heading to landfill planet
  3. are you gonna keep making polls until you get desired result, agreeing with your opinion ?
  4. I love the way people throw out the term "Pay to win" to try and support their point of view or opinion. Then throw out the label "Carebear" if you do not agree. Anyway, I voted I agree with them not being lootable. Because there is no safe way to keep them once purchased if they were physical. That scenario only helps bandits, not everyone, therefore making them "Pay to win" if they're physical, by benefiting one set of playerbase O.O and if you don't agree , you're a carebear lol, thanks
  5. I'm sure I saw a statement that mining is manual to give resources a value that even beginners could make some credits or money.
  6. you people saying its no big deal because we wont reach space for a few months do realize that constructs can fly in the atmosphere, and ground vehicles are also constructs, right ?
  7. Perhaps if after a set tme, you lose ownership of it. Allowing for the possibility some one else could mine or destruct it, there for getting some resources from it, or just demolish or destroy it.
  8. I believe SWG had, and the EMU's now have tab targeting. You press tab to cycle to the next target .. you can only shoot if you have a target, and its in range.
  9. my guess , with everyone digging up the ground, it'll look like the bombed out "no-mans land" of WWI
  10. I'd rather be in an organization of 25 members with 60% active, than a 100 member one, with 10% active. It wont matter how many members you say you have. What will matter is how many you can field at any given time.
  11. Yes, I concur. Thanks Devs for starting development on a game that looks like a winning formula. Deacon
  12. I think the Capital ship is one of the best ideas. Think like aircraft carriers, they are literally military floating cities. They can make anything they need part wise in their machine shops and fabrication bays. Although food is not grown, they have large stores to hold food items etc. Water is cleaned/filtered on board to supply ship as well. Maybe a capital ship can have a gas vessel it can send to find a gas planet and siphon off gas. Return to Capital ship and have the gas broken down into its various elements, one being water (H2O). Of course, a large hanger bay or several, as well as huge cargo holds will be just some of the structures to think about. Then defense turrets missle pods, torpedo shoots/tubes etc for defense, and the most important part .... Marines !!! hehe Guess I need to get cracking on some modular designs. Deacon
  13. I guess this would go under the heading of hostile environment. I'd like to see an occasional random meteor streak through the sky and crash some place on the planet hehe ... think Bounty hunter seeker droid from swg . Have it do damage to what ever it hit. Maybe it could contain a bit of a resource in it as well, and people could mine it until used up.Wouldn't be much protection from something like this. But for hostile players and creatures, have an armored mobile hauler with turret or two mounted on it, as well as squad of troops within ? anyway, just think outloud again Deacon
  14. I Played a game called Xsyon. They had the ground gradually regenerate over time if no one had claim to it. i.e. no totem, which is what a person needed to claim land and build or terraform it. It did however have the blight syndrome at first, where people would mess up an area, then pick up and move on, to a pristine area, and blight it as well Deacon
  15. Tracks with skid steering on land vehicles .. I hope not everything is gonna happen in space Give a Grunt a chance EDIT: not sure how difficult this would be to program, guess we may need to settle for multiple wheels an each side and Lua the skid steering part.
  16. Hello, an old retired Leatherneck here. No doubt I'll be joining some one's military, considering it's what I understand. I've been contacted by an organization already, and it's looking pretty decent so far. Deacon
