  1. You can do the first part already with lua scripts. Such interfaces won't be provided by NQ but you have to write that yourself. Be creative about it You certainly can't and won't control a huge ship alone because that's why this is a mmo and no single player game. Read the devblogs - you clearly lack Knowledge there with all those topics you start

    There is no real atmosphere/air inside of ships. Read the ama and watch the videos. There are also plenty of threads about that topic
  5. You repair a construct by actively repairing it with your nanoformer. You construct and build something with your nanoformer or elements with the 3D printers. You just don't press a button and your ship magically seals all breaches.
  6. I am no native english speaker but I only want and need english. As some commands will be english only because there is no word for it anyway, many groups will just speak a mixed english anyway. To me there is no need for extra languages. But NQ stated that there will be different localized clients later down the road
  7. There will be no pistons, rotors and similar things for release. Maybe they're implement in some later patch
  8. Watch the devblog video - mining is manual and active, not afk like in eve. So there won't be any nobrainer afk fleets of ships or something

    No player made currency (refer to the ama videos and or questions) will be in DU. There is ONE currency, made by NQ. As twerk pointed out you CAN play with no in-game money at all if you wish and if your org has the proper logistics for it, but all of us would still use that one currency
  11. This is not eve where multiboxing is viable. In eve you had to have at least two accounts to do something special like living in a wormhole. More accounts don't mean inherently more cash, progression or whatever. This is a first person mmo. That alone hinders multiboxing like in eve. Plus the graphics will be pretty hardcore, I suspect you'd need a second pc to run a second client. Plus it's not like eve where you just cloak up or anchor automatically around someone to do stuff. Though this could be made possible via lua, you still need to do something. This doesn't mean that people won't have two accounts (if allowed, I will definitely have two) - it just means that it's not likely those two will run at the same time
  12. Automated things will be punished by (can't remember exact number) 40 or 60% less accuracy, damage or whatever. No automated gun will outmatch or even come close to a player controlled one.

  14. IIRC this was mentioned in some video (maybe someone more proficient than me with less braindamage can remember) - they plan on doing transparent voxels. In all videos you see windows of all sorts but with no glass - cause it's not yet implemented.

    If you run a bank, which will be the case at some point in-game, then you have to have: - respect and trust from the community - military force to defend that bank (if it's an actual building and you also store assets - to me this would be just senseless, but whatever) - security measures to prevent you and your employees to scam people - security measures to prevent loantakers to scam you - a military force to attack people who scammed the bank In eve I ran a very small bank myself. It boils down to: you have to trust those people you give money to. There's no need for an actual building because you can do everything with credits more easily and safer. Depending on how DACs will work in the end you could pile them up to be completely safe too.
  16. Yeah, so ships don't have LUA at all..... They are not subject to scripts.....NOT. That's EXACTLY why there is an element which will configure your controls automatically so that the basic maneuvers are always the same for any ship. You can edit and improve them for your ship and, depending which parameters you're able to edit, you can do lots of stuff with LUA and your ship. Moveable pistons/rotors/whatever are on their roadmap (iirc) to do even MORE stuff. They said that through RDMS you may be able to disable PvP in that area (there are other means too ofc) and that is perfectly fine with a sandbox IF there is a viable tactic for others to disable that feature of that tile. If you could disable PvP as a player in a region and there are no means to deactivate that again, then it would be against a sandbox - and NQ will clearly not go with that. Exactly - you won't build to survive. For now, you build to "REBUILD CIVILIZATION". I get your points there with creativity and building and I agree. You need a challange / enemy / whatsoever to improve your constructs in order for you to know that your building effort is meaningful. To me, you will have this at release with PvP: - depending on how sensors work, you have to be creative to hide your base/ship/station from enemies - base layout for combat - market placement (yeah, that's PVP too), running said market and enlarge it (you need actual space for all the goods) - CvC: design ships for tricking the enemy (which won't be easy) - explore new worlds and prepare for that trip I'd have their server tech work and the fundamental gameplay mechanics to be smooth and good rather then tons and tons of possibilities. Those will come with time when more features are added to the game. But that's just me. GL mate and hf

    This is more an org than an idea, so wrong subforum I guess.... Why paying a 3rd party to pick you up and bring you back when you can a) kill yourself and respawn at your rez node (which is OFC placed in a convenient place) - only works when you don't have valuable goods on you call for a friend who picks you up for free Could work though for lone wolfs, so...just make that org and see how it works out

  21. Jeder wie er will, viel Glück. Internationale orgs haben halt einen fetten Vorteil, den Nationale nie haben werden: Zeitzonen. Aber wer lieber unter sich bleibt, warum nicht. Ich muss nicht alles verstehen
  22. Quite the opposite, my dear man. They are not locked in, they NEED to venture out there to find food and pile it up. They NEED to go out there to find/craft fuel and pile it up. Then they can move on. If you don't have such mechanics (doesn't matter what kind of resource runs out) then it leads to camping a base/stargate/traderoute 24/7 without the need of, as tweak said, supply lines. A reasonably large org across all TZs can do that with ease. If they need to worry about supply lines, you maybe got a less defended objective (freighters with supplies) to kill in order to hamper their efforts. Such a mechanic can be a credit sink too, to handle inflation. There are not many sinks in a game like DU so the few we got need to be worthwhile

  24. There is a monthly fee of about 13€ to play this game once it is released. Use the search function - there are plenty of topics about this already. Either you pay on a monthly basis or you earn enough ingame cash to buy a DAC from another player and use it. So essentially you can play for free if you make enough ingame money. No, F2P is no option here because of the single shard server No, B2P is no option here because of the single shard server and the resources your character needs (server side) each month We want quality gameplay with good mechanics and good gameplay and expansions, so P2P is the only viable option here
