  1. Thanks. Not sure why it broke, but it is working now.
  2. Hi everyone. Formula DU season 2 ended this morning, with team Kestelburn taking line honours. A big thanks to all who competed or came out to watch. To help racing grow, I'm looking to grab some opinions from the general DU community about this totally player-made content, and what we can do to bring more people out to events. If you have a moment, even just to tell us it isn't your thing, I'd appreciate it if you could complete the linked survey (it's only 6 questions): https://forms.gle/gKvjMMdiH23bg9SA7
  3. Also wanted to note that, while not directly related to FTUE, I love the change to ore location after calibration (directly under MU - although check the outposts as it can be difficult to get under sometimes), I love the new textures, and that the surface rocks only "glow" when you have the tool enabled.
  4. Good timezone relevant greeting to you all. The Anarchy Market now has its very own Argent Galactic ship shop. Head north from the Caterpillar docking area, through the decorations shop, and look for the great big blue "Argent" sign. I'm still getting the place up and running, but you can already pick up blueprints for the light Nouveau (light blue and dark red versions), medium Meridian, and massive Capricorn from dispensers in the shop. You can also have a look at the Quicksilver and Comet racers, with dispensers for blueprints available soon. Also coming soon, VR pods for the larger ships, an information area about DU Racing and Argent Galactic, and an expanded ship shop area. Argent Galactic. Step into the light!
  5. Do the changes affect me in the short term, no. But they do curtail longer term plans. I'm more worried about some of the incredible builds that exist in the game. Freeport, for example, or Pure Velocity Raceway / Anvilworks Speedway / Obsidian Race Center, etc. These are huge complexes with history and high core counts. In the case of the raceways those cores are required for gates, pit hangars and public racers, not to mention all of the other associated stuff. Maybe upping the number of available core slots will help.
  6. I wouldn't be averse to any of that, although I do kinda like the idea of having players become the repo-men and stripping down the hulks that are left there. Opens up a whole new occupation. But, yeah, just removing the clutter would be great.
  7. So, I don't think anyone would deny that the markets (at least on Sanctuary and Alioth) are a mess because players just dump their ships everywhere and park without any sense of order or decency (not to mention the unregulated advertisements, etc). I think this could be tackled by: - Set up a rule whereby a construct left for longer than a month in a safe zone (or maybe any zone not owned by a player or an org they are affiliated to) reverts to No Owner and can be salvaged by anyone. - Provide a dedicated space around the market for parking and player stalls (ie: two separate areas). - In the "parking zone", if players park their ships appropriately (within a designated space and not at some janky angle), then the above rule is extended to, say, three months. - In the player stalls area, constructs pay a small fee that needs to be upkept monthly and, if it does not, the constructs revert as above. I'm sick of dodging junk every time I go to the markets (mostly the same junk). Especially stuff that is, for example, parked right between the shuttle button and the shuttle, or across the walkways.
