I'm sure that i read or came across a video by NQ that suggested within tagging mechanics, their would be an option to set a forfeit or tax ect on a negotiation, for example, if I where to give some one 100,000 space bucks on a promise he/she would repay me every day a certain amount until the debt is settled, then i could also add to the agreement that if the payment was not satisfied within x time frame, i could seize x assets agreed by both parties covering the loan amount or more. the scammer may try and run away and not pay me, however after x days the game would know the repayment has not been made and that now the agreed asset is mine. it could even go as far as to make sure that agreed asset is in a form of stasis (the player is able to use the asset however they can no longer modify, sell or deconstruct the asset). They could still nuke the asset or have another player sab it for them but then the scammer never makes any money on the scam they just trolled you. even so that can be avoided by having it kept in a safe zone for the duration of the agreed time. again depends on how deep this mechanic goes but I think it's a good way to iron out a lot of scamming issues and open new politics into the game.
  2. what if i sent a probe out for 3 months to an uncharted region of space and allowed players access through my gate for a reasonable fee, that would make the space a safe zone as anyone caught attacking would be banned access through the gate. Again i think people underestimate how big this game really is. Their is a market to be made from pirates by being able to provide such services. The universe is in essence, infinite. Their is no real limit to on what we can do (as long as the game is all it promises to be), if your being griefed you don't need to stay in the area, you only need to go their to do what you need (trade, refuel, ect) even so after time i could probably provide most of that in the area so you never had to leave ect ... so much possibility .. free your minds!! lol

I do believe i read somewhere that Code will not be a one make and sell, as obviously given such huge freedom to build what you want, every ship, every building, every creation will be unique and require a different code to work how it is intended. This probably means that coders will have to take your individual design and code it for you, which is how i see many of them making their primary source of income within the game. The more skilled the coder, the more ambitious projects he/she can code, and the bigger the price he/she can charge, turning it into a rather fierce and competitive market further down the line.

  5. given that we know we need modules to control a sector and that this can be planet wide or indeed space bubble, and also knowing that they plan to make these modules very difficult to make .. would it not make sense that by being the first player to own that planet, sector, moon ect .. then you or the organization would get to name it? you could literally have a war lasting days with 2 or 3 players / organizations trying to get control just to name the sector. It would also mean that you would then plan to spend your time building that area so its not just a fly by and name.

  7. on one of the YouTube interviews the Dev said in words it would be possible to build a death star - or indeed ... multiple death stars ... as the galaxy is procedural generated and their can be an infinite number of worlds. It may in fact be that mech corp builds a death star and every one in the universe turns up at the planet to destroy it hahaha
  8. I want to try it now!!! wouldn't it be amazing if we could try out and practice the ship building functions to get used to designing and building ships before the game released!! just a little area to fly and test the design and build a few things.
