    I’d LOVE for Dual to mix in a little bit of Scrap Mechanic but I agree it’s be to much sever strain ... for now. No game, I think, will ever ‘have it all’ and be playable at the scale DU intends to be. I’d love to make ships that transform, giant voxel gates, folding wing craft for your space carriers and so on but I’m happy that we can fly voxel structures right now. Hey... you never know. The future is open and anything is possible with enough time, money and resources.

    We’re doing things with voxels! Have managed to confuse some people already.

    I like building. I like building things with friends. I love showing off my constructs to others. I like screaming “for science!” as we try to break the game. I like figuring out what can be done and should different and passing that to Nova Quark. I’m ok with doing this once a week (for now). I like knowing I’m helping make this game better so it’s worth it to me. If you’re not that person. If you want a game that’s almost done then it’s not for you at this point.

    Like I mentioned a few posts ago this is totally going to be The Expance. Computer targeted combat going 10-20kph. Small ships, I think, will be able to escape faster and are still fine as a personal transport but medium sized and highly maneuverable gunboat with well placed elements will be the most viable option In my opinion.     I picture space combat more like The Expance. Guided torpedos for range and tracking turretets for closer range. Maybe some flak style cannons.

    Soo... if NQ posts a public picture in the Rules and Announcements and maybe I can somewhat answer this question with out giving out specifics by pointing out something... does that break NDA?

    I agree and disagree with this. As the community builds there will be a separated identity and culture between orgs. At first I agree that yes elements should be sci-fi as that is the world we will be inhabiting but there is still the possibility a colony would want to be more old school. Maybe with their culture they have Asian, Egyptian, Old Western, etc influences. And even if they stay in the Sci-fi realm maybe they want to be more steampunk, organic-mechanical (think Aliens), eco friendly, industrial and so on. Because we come from the same Ark does not mean we can’t evolve seperatly culturally. I’d like to see different styles that people can gravitate to.

    Good info. But still in my opinion right now is BAD for gpu purchases. I’d look at local sellers like Craig’s list to see if you can find a used one.
