But wouldn't the salvaging be costly (maybe not making a profit at an extreme) seeing as it would probably take advanced radar technology, lots of fuel to travel between sites, and also risk 'dead' sites with nothing worth salvaging?

This I why I made this post, for people to suggest things.

So, as you can probably tell from the name of the topic, is there currently a confirmed name for the in game currency? I feel like this information(if it exists) should be more widespread as currently I see it refered to as many different things, even by myself. Also, if the all seeing all knowing replies section does not know of any definitely confirmed (citations for sources please), may I suggest that as a community we start referring to the currency as GALACTIC UNITS (or units for short). If this post gets enough up votes which would suggest that we do need to decide on a currency name if one doesn't already exist, I will put a poll out on the forums with suggestions for the name, and let the community take it from there!

I was suspicious of something like this happen since halo said he was doing everything to spite ajh. Anyways, a win is a win, gg, and can we all take a moment to appreciate the effort Zamarus/Zedivann put into this. Also, as my last in character action, I could be heard saying "I'm sorry I doubted you, wood logs, but you kept me alive throughout. Now where is my prize?"

Unfortunately for you though, I was actually wearing a standard suit and so only took 1 damage, which can be confirmed in the list of players on page 1.

Although none have been seen yet (as far as i am aware), this will likely change soon as the crowdfunding is coming up to the stretch goal of having construct vs construct at launch, with this adding shields, more turrets, etc.. If this goal is reached, which it is looking very likely that it will be reached, I think we would see some concept art or small ship weapons in game play trailers soon after

As for self mending armor, it was said in an interview with the developers (sorry i don't remember which one) that there would be the possibility of this, with very similar mechanics to what you stated, with the parts of the ship (elements included) being repaired by another element which took up power and raw resources to repair as of a blueprint type system, so that if the ship took damage it would repair to how it was exactly if there were enough resources being fed into it.
