The devs don't expect this game to be available for limited public Alpha until at least 2017 and have said (as Marax27 said) that todays high end machines could be tomorrows medium range machines, so I think worrying about your computers specs could be a bit premature. Depending on how the players are selected for the 'limited public Alpha', we might not get to even play this game until 2018.

Don't plan on the train turning? Why not? As long as the curve was not too sharp and the train was either not too long or was articulated then it shouldn't be a problem.

New players will want to be able to travel between their early planets without needing to worry about long term investment in colony ships though.

I guess this will depend on the engine sizes that are available, but I would take a hover board. Wouldn't mind a speeder though
