  1. Whats with these oversized furniture? 3 meter(12 blocks) long beds, 4 meter wide couch, 1.5 meter wide doors??? A normal chair is 50cm (2 blocks) wide, so why jumping to these "big mom Olin" sizes?

    Not  really possible to make normal crew-quarters on your ship now. Or a high building with appartements, or a hotel.

     

    There is no reason for NQ to make these mistakes and I think it is really stupid that these elements have these stupid sizes. 

  2. Hi, my building is invisible. I can put a waypoint to it in F4, ingame it points to an empty spot where my construct used to be.

    I am also still linked to my container.

    Already deleted the cache, logged out, restarted my pc. 

    Still, everytime I log in, my entire construct is invisible.

     

    Whats there left for me to do?

     

     

    EDIT: Well, my building is back.

    Cant give anyone tips on how I did it, because I dont know how I did it...

    I had the very same problem when I landed near a market, but could fly flawlessly when I was at a distance

    Ah yes, it is on Alioth Sanctuary 5... Im under the landing pad.

    Ill give it a try. moving it to approx 100m away

     

    And it didnt work. Im at least 500m away from the market and its still uncontrollable. Cant even move forward, tried going to the left only to get the ship spinning and rollercoasting again. And now a lot of onsreen menu's are gone too! Is this game so heavy for my pc that I cant even get in a vehicle?

     

     

    This game is really annoys me with al of its faults. First a 3yr NDA and when it comes out as a BETA most of the things do not even work right. I am beginning to understand al the frustration people have with this game.

    I am really done, 4th day and still not even got in my tutorial-speeder....

     

    Wasted my time waiting for this game, watching videos, paying 3 months of subscription and playing it.

    Standard speeders are a bit rubbish, but I don't think they're uncontrollable bucking broncos as you describe, generally, or there'd be more reports of it. I don't know enough to make any more suggestions, I'm afraid.

     

    You are clear of any obstructions, I assume?

    The extra airbrakes and adjusters helped a fair bit; The first time I got in the speeder it was all over the place in a 100m radius except underground. only to stabilize when I got upside down. Now at least, it only bounces up and down when I do not touch anything.

     

    I have never seen any of this or something that looks like this in any off the videos I have seen.

    But then again, my pc is really slow and theirs(videomakers) is not.

    Its a standard speeder, that you get from the tutorial. After rollercoasting, I have added 2+2 adjustors for the sides and 1 on top. Also added 2 airbrakes tot the sides.

    If there is no solution by the end of the day (European time)I will make a video of it and post it.

    Yes I have, its still uncontrollable, as it bounces up and down now when I take a seat.

    I can pitch and steer, but as soon as I do that it starts rolling and fly like a rollercoaster again until I am upside down.

    There is also no way of increasing speed, so even if I could manage to control it a small bit, I cant get anywhere.

     

    Am I really the only one who experienced this?

    Would agree that ore inside an un-minable hex should not show up on a scanner, bumped into some lumps yesterday though that we like 40% or 60% minable with the rest in an un-minable hex so I fear this may we difficult to achieve.

    the planet is a sphere, so the deeper you dig, the smaller your area should be isnt it?

    So its even more difficult to mine if your area is only half a hex cuz you are 1000m down and it shows your neighbours ore

  8. Well, I lost the speeder when trying to move it. It disappeared between the voxels and is now somewhere under the buildings....

     

    Ive bought the components and made a new speeder. Also packed some materials for my new hex

    But when I get in the speeder, it starts to fly by itself is all over the place! None of the controls seem to respond. I cannot fly and end up upside down, then I get out and flip the speeder again with the move tool. What is the reason for this?

  9. I am at gaming at 3 FPS and deployed my speeder, during the tutorial, in a no fly zone (where the shuttle dropped me). Now it is stuck on the square between the buildings and cant be moved.

     

    What is the fastest solution as I want to get out to my hex and have 6-10 fps and learn the game.

    Get a lift?

    Tutorial again?

    Just walk/drift?

    Buy the parts?

    There is a lot of low tier materials in any given hex. But no hex has them all, so your palette is going to be limited unless you go out into the marketplace or world and find yourself the materials to make the effects you need. And again, this is very early days, so the markets are somewhat sparse so far. Eventually, haulers will be set up, lugging materials from where they're plentiful (and cheap) to where they're scarce (and can be sold for a profit), but that's not really happening yet to any great degree. I don't think "Eventually" is very far off though.

    There are other problems with setting up a "City": you won't be able to get to 20 buildings on your own, I don't think. There are restrictions on how many cores an individual can own. Setting up an ORG though will let you have more, along with all the issues (and advantages) that being an Organisation brings.

    Limitations on how many cores one can own? Even the static cores?

    So if you max out you will have to deleted small core buildings and rebuild them with a bigger core?

    That sounds like something I really dont like. As I am a builder, I dont want no restrictions with this subscription model. Im not going to pay monthly and be maxed out so I cant build no more!

     

    Also, Can you move the core once you have placed it (within the placed grid)?  I do not like a core floating in the middle of my industrial hall

    IMO, they should never remove that but just create more and more planets outside of the safe zone to encourage sorties into riskier areas. 
     

     

    I think that, in time, they also need more planets with more safe-zones. I dont know what kind of "adventure" you can have in this restriced area of space. I know it is big but it is nothing compared to real space. If I build a ship I would like to go on an adventure, away from all the fighting, just exploring like in Elite Dangerous. Or arrive at a nice peacefull planet (the new safe-zone).

    On Sanctuary you have surface gathering of all the mats you need, and for a casual/builder it is probably faster and less stressful than mining. Me and my wife have 2 adjacent hexes on Sanct and has no problem with mats. One thing to think about on Sanct is that if you place a core covering the ground or terraforms the ground the surface mats do not respawn. You will be ok with a bit or planning though.

     

     

    Yes, I already planned ahead of this, and would build far above the ground so I can keep mining (like in my own basement).

    Would be wasting some space but thats ok.

    Nice that you and your wife have hexes next to each other. That is just fantastic!

    I agree wit some points. But for ships its difficult to build beautiful and functional, but for buildings in the save-zone it is not. 

    As a ship designer(in some games), my ships are always boxy, because of the logical use of space. Dont need no fancy antenna stickin' out.

    Some ships look great but its non functional most of the time and just for beautification.

     

    Because loosing a ship can cost you, thats why you have to make organisations/clans/guilds!  Bigger fleets etc....

    I dont think it is already time for major EVE-online battles yet.

    And if I want save passage, cant I just join a guild/clan/organisation?  Or buy/ask permission?

  12. Ive seen moslty good video's and streams. Just a few really critical video's about the subscription model and the fact that you pay for an unfinished game that doesnt work like it is supposed to do.

    We also dont know the type of connection peeps have, and I think that if you run a low spec pc it will crash sooner too. (Ive heard that many build far out from the marketplace just because there is less lag(/crashes) there)

    -building entire blocks and copy paste them seamless is possible

    -there are enough tier 1 materials to build a small city

    -you cannot connect the factory of 'core a' to  a factory in 'core b' (or maybe by linking containers??)

    Biggest problemn now would be the availibility of large cores, which require higher tier ores... But you will be able to purchase them from markets.

    Can you line up smaller cores, and would they seamless connect? Because then you can save them as blueprints and then use them as building blocks. That way we could 'rent out' different blocks/rooms/halls/areas of your seamless combined structure.

    I think it is possible, having seen the starting area of this game, which cant be 1 single core (I think)

     

    Also important: when 2 territories connect from 1 clan, can they make a street that connects seamless?

     

    So wood is available and concrete is very cheap, 200m3 cement (or concrete) would be 12800 blocks (0.25m x 0.25m x 0.25m blocks). so that is 128.000 blocks free to build a day! Yes, I think I can make my Disney castle now!
