    i'm pretty sure its just the dev tool for digging thats so fast, even tho i wouldn't mind it being ingame that way, gathering a massive amount of ressoures is always the most boring part^^

    There's a pretty simple example why your statement is kind of naiv/wrong. Everyone has different playstyles, there will be organisations focused on adventuring, trading, ship building etc. Now i imagine you would be in a basebuilding/shipbuilding organisation, lets assume your org built a splendid base with an efficient industrial part (assuming its possible), other organisations like traders or adventures might want to have a strong ship building economy too, without setting up their own base (because they don't feel like it or started late due to their focus on adventuring/trading etc.).
    The easiest solution? Conquer the base of a basebuilding/shipbuilding organisation.
    The diplomatic solution? They wont kill you and might let you keep some small ships if you give up the base without resistance.
    A peaceful solution? Why would you look for a peaceful solution if you have the might to get much more benefits if you chose the violent way? It's a game afterall.

    I was thinking about this the other day actually: would be very cool to see decaying buildings that are now uninhabited, and perhaps in a few months or years of game time city ruins that are deserted once people have moved on. Will give the world a very "lived in" feel I think.

    I'm against it, this is supposed to be a builder/scifi mmorpg, not a survival game. I definitely dont want to be forced to regularly eat food, its only a chore without benefit.

    I'm waiting for the alpha to start, before engaging in discussions again. Nearly everything that was discussed in the last months was basically the same things already talked about in the past. There's a limit to productive discussions without actual content.

    you could probably script a public transportation system, and maybe some vendors, but much more then that, i doubt it.

    yes, stupid, greedy devs, how dare they to want a secure income for paying servers and salaries, i mean, if i look for a job i also always take a initial payment thats aproximatly 4-5 months of work worth without a monthly salary, i can do extra work and be payed for that, right? totally legit...

    you have to understand, that the videos are pre alpha gameplay, if you are active in the forum you will encounter something called "nanoformer", which will be our tool for crafting etc. but just isn't implemented yet. It was never planned to do it with an empty hand.

    the nessecarity to log out at certain places would be very annoying, thus not likely, a basic feature that can be needed anytime can't be bound to such circumstances.

    don't play the drama queen, there is no hatred just because people point out that you should speak english in an international forum.
    And while English might not be universal in the sense of most spoken language, it certainly is the universal language of science and the digital world, just look at the vast majority of coding languages and science papers.
    Especially in small communities as dual universe its important if everyone can participate in discussions and read whats written (no one would care about subsections for specific languages if there are thousands of actice community members), so keep it in english.

    Yes not everyone can, but neither can everyone understand french and the most people can understand at least a bit english, because its more or less the universal language of the world and as far as I know a part of the education in the most parts of the world. In todays world if you want to participate in things that are international you should at least understand english and use google translate on the own end instead of forcing it onto others. If I would write german in an english forum, I would expect to get ripped into pieces, because I don't adjust to the others. And just because the Devs are french doesn't mean that you should write also in french, because that makes it even more difficult for others that have english already as second language. (I don't mind if you write your org description in another language if you want to build an org that is using this language, but don't expect that I will negotiate in this language with you.)
     
    But hey if you want to stick with this statement I will instantly begin to write in the language i'm most comfortable with, german.
     
    Es macht bestimmt Spaß in einem Forum zu schreiben, in welchem jeder eine andere Sprache spricht. Ich bin sicher Twerk würde sich mit freuden des Griechischen bedienen. Und nein ich will niemanden ausgrenzen, aber wenn du in einem internationalen Publikum gehört werden willst, musst du zumindest etwas Englisch können.
     
    So my whole point here is simply that it is more pleasant for all of us here in the forum if we stick with one language to formulate our ideas instead of many.
