  1. Last time i have checked JC 1: Correct. Not even i with 10k+ survival ffa hours in games like Ark or Rust want another survival/ffa mmo. 2: That linked forcefield will be a thing. Tiles with the same sinergy will have bonuses to defense.

  3. Schematics are just fine. Some lucky industrialists were blessed by the Gods. The others got the 2nd wave of bot orders. Nothing to complain here!
  4. Fast Foward into the future. 1 year from now. You have a released game, ffa pvp, base raiding, everything in the road map. Will few billions from schematics matter? No. Will 1st, 2nd or maybe 3rd wave of inflated quanta matter? No. What will matter for the Joe who wants to play DU for various reasons ? A wipe empty game or somehow working environment ? He wants content, he wants action and he wants to be part of something, whatever his needs are. Considering the learning curve of DU, the ffa pvp-full loot-base raiding and many other hardcore sandbox features the game will have not many will join for the long run and from the feedback you see people are leaving now when this is single handedly the easiest version of DU we will ever play. Most new people will be lured by the clips/vids/vods they see on media and considering not many are playing, its hard to create healthy economical player patterns. I mean look at the other side, how NQ can measure Rare/Exotic/Beacons spread considering the above written and how hard would have been for us to do it the book?!?!
  5. @Aaron Cainawesome post man, thanks for writing it. I believe inflated quanta wont harm the game but will boost the start of many new and experienced players. Schematics fiasco added what? few billions into the game? Compared with 2nd wave of bot orders? Thats nothing, literally nothing. At least NQ now has a way to measure what dudes with fiasco schematics did with their accounts
  6. Players and trolls (player's alt accounts) built a strong wall between them and the NQ staff. Thats why they are not writing, thats why no AMA, no nothing, no interview and i respect their decision. They are there in the dark doing their stuff and i honestly believe they will deliver it until the end of the year. i mean, you sow, so shall you reap.

  8. Last Oasis has a lobby, offline lobby where a player can log out his ship for as long as he want. I believe NQ should take into consideration an Alioth-Offline-Lobby session where they can put there abandoned ships found near markets, with owner that have inactive accounts.

I think they are doing a pretty good job creating Tier 1 inflated environment in the game and considering we had no chance without their help to reach Tier 4-5 tech in this beta, i am happy that some of you were helped to achieve some T4-5 greatness. I hope you test those rarities in the pvp also ?
  10. You cant make too many changes to this system. It will be used in few years as Starting Zone. Why would you want to make it harder ? Remove T1 from all planets? Whats the reason? Players need to feel they can get back on their track on any planet, anywhere, in any moon, anywhere. You dont want to fence in the players on 1 planet. Its a sandbox game. You can do any basic stuff anywhere. Thats the goal of sandbox worlds. As ive said, new systems can have more harsh worlds, more agressive environments but this ? I dont think its wise to change the core of the Economical Pillar anymore.
  11. I am pretty sure we're moving forward with the Roadmap. The game is doing just fine and we have a full market. Whats done its been done. Missions, Asteroids and the other goodies are coming on later this year. This system is almost done. Things we've learned so far can be applied in the near future when 2nd System will kick in. In a way or another i can agree with what you've said but those settings are only good if the population of DU in the future, 1y from now will be healthy, big enough to support more agressive planets, more harsh environments and more Zero to Hero and Viceversa scenarios. Lets remember one thing...most of the players when they are wiped, zeroed, they uninstall and leave the game and that can happen if a game becomes too hostile.

  13. 1st and 2nd wave of bot orders are the major sources of inflated quanta. Schematics only moved the progress a bit. It would have been only a matter of time until those players would have reached that tier also but since NQ dumped the schematics knowingly (imho) i know it was a trick used maybe to hide something else, like the 2nd wave of bot orders ?
  14. DU has safe zone where you can achieve any Pve goal easily. Payment wise i think we are going Eve style. Sub + token in game that can be bought with quanta. Developer said, no f2p no open beta due to several mechanics that can affect the current player base at the end of the event when they will leave. They can do anyday a F2P planet and trap ppl there which i think its a nice and smart thing to do after release
  15. @michaelkwe will have wipes but progress wont be affected. those riches you see are worthless, its just quanta which you can easily mine in 1 month and buy everything you need.

I am not saying this is perfect or that you will be covered 100% but i will try to add value when you will Create A New Mission, especially Hauling Mission if things will happen and you will lose your cargo and mission lost. For the sake of the situation lets put some tiers in the talk. T1-T5 cargo will be issued to make it simple. I am not telling you exactly what to do i am telling you what i will do if/when i will want to move stuff. Feel free to add value to this thread when you want. Collateral is great but its only great when you know how to use it, otherwise you lose more than you gain. Tier/Collateral info: * Tier 1 items. Tier 1 items can be T1 Ore, Pure Ore or Basic Components, Basic Elements, Basic Elements, etc. * Tier 2 items Tier 2 ore, elements, components, etc. * Tier 3 ore, advanced stuff, etc. * Tier 4 ore, gold, rare elements, components, etc. * Tier 5 ore, exotic stuff, etc. Here is the trick. Each tier has a different collateral value. Since Tier 1 items are overall present in game and not hard to get you will want to add some margin % value compared with market price if Cargo is lost. Always, always assume cargo will be lost especially Early Days when people will try to do scams more than ever. System is new. Some things might not work out. The more we learn, the faster we adapt. For Tier 1 - Cargo Value - Market Price 100 mil i would add 10-25% value. So if Cargo is 100 mils, up to 130 mils would be good. If they lose the cargo, they will pay. For tier 2 - Cargo Value Market Price 100 mils (check market). Do you sell T2 stuff that is hard to find? Hard to mine? Hard to craft ? Somewhere between 25-75% margin , your pick. No need to worry. They fail, they pay. For Tier 3 - Cargo Value Market Price 100 mils. Still not that hard to find, Acanthite might be thou. Weapons and other rarities, should check market when you decide the collateral margin%. Tier 4 - Tier 5 are on the same boat. Stuff is hard to find, hard to get, hard to mine, hard to craft and it will be easy to get it from you if somehow we will be able to see what is in inside the Cargo and margin is only 25% more. So, lets assume we cant see the Cargo. There will be players out there that will Create Hauling missions with SHORT time and High Collateral dmg so you cant do it. They will create the mission and they will camp the planets and the pipes so they get the collateral from you. Lets assume we can see the Cargo. You have 1000kl of Illmenite on Jago and you want it sent to Alioth. Illmenite Market price is 2000. there are 18.000 piece in market. Since we live in times where quanta is inflated and we already know that Always Assume Cargo Is Lost would you like to trade your 1000kl illmenite for 2.000.000.000 b quanta to somebody? I know i wouldnt but you also dont want to do it. So setup a price between 2b value X somewhere between 2 and 5 and create the contract. "Would you like to move my 1000kl Illmenite with 6b collateral?" Yes or No. I hope the system it wont be that hard. There will be people who will abuse and trick the system since the 1st hour so its smart not to put your best and most valuable/rare items on the Cargo especially with T4-T5 stuff since you never know if you will ever receive it 1: Never pay collateral quanta payment upfront via trade to anybody. Always do it via Missions Systems. 2: There are lots of players in game with alt accounts. They will try to win/trade/reward system to gain reputation as Honest Traders and scam you if your collateral %margin is not correct. It was done before and it will be done again. The scam is simple. You literally sell your cargo for the price you are asking in collateral :). 3: Check delivery time. If the Contracter wants to camp/kill your ship and get your Collateral and his cargo back, he will try to kill you. Always assume it will happen in pvp zone. 4: Dont accept friend requests from Contracters in game. They will try to track you down in space if you slowboat. 5: Always add value to Cargo, to time needed to scan it, mine it. Dont think that market reflects the true value of the cargo. Only you can do that. 6: Collateral values like x10 - x50 is nothing (but you will need to have it) since sometimes that mechanic wont trigger if you dont open the cargo. 7: Test the system before you hand out items to the new mission systems. Always assume that the Cargo will be lost, check the Delivery time to see if you have time to do it right. Sometimes it will be wise to warp, sometimes not and if you are in pvp zone there will be some of us there waiting for you. If you are into Hauling Stuff, Create and Org, find more players like you and do hard missions in group. o7
  17. They simply dont understand that if we will ever start again there will be no bots and they will never leave safe zone Right now they have all the power to do anything they want. They can even pay for protection, join bigger orgs to reach New Systems, leave the ORg once they reach the new systems, etc Its so sad to see people not think at all.
  18. The more basic ships you create, the faster the market will move and the more rewards pvp space. The faster you achieve goals, the happier you will be. I honestly do not care. I Would have cared if those 1-10-100-100b would have popped out of suddenly after Territory Warfare but atm, its useless quanta that will move the market around. You have New Bot Orders and 10x more inflated quanta. Schematic trick does no harm compared to new wave of bots.
  19. You guys take it as you want...i've started to believe NQ put the schematics in the market in order to boost our development progress knowing we wont reach Tier 4-5 progress soon. I mean you dont have to be an Einstein to do the math. 1: schematics fiasco - max 10b quanta damage. (2-3 days of mining for the community present in game). 2: 2nd wave of bot orders - 100b+ more inflated quanta in the game. Nobody talks anything about it, 10 dudes are pissed because they've missed the sale and 400+ happy players because there are new orders. The schematic fiasco is close to nothing. Only few were smart enough to buy in time pre-req schematics also. 2 dudes bought same recipe countless of times. Now the real advocates of the show dont want to buy warp beacon schematic but they want to loan it Gl getting back your 500-800 mil blocked quanta anytime soon. So, 10b vs 100b+ Now try again.

  21. i actually start to believe they know we are not capable to reach Tier 4 and 5 progress and they gave us the schematics via market error. There will be wipes but you get all your stuff back. Game is set as: Released and players are joining knowing this status. They know know there will be a fiasco and players will want their subscription money back. Its not that hard to understand the consequences of wiping 1 year form now an active world vs not wiping it. I mean, we are 1 year away from end of beta. Isnt that enough time to achieve greatness ? You have T1-T3 stuff in market. In 3 months you can get anything you want. And good luck wiping Alioth and those beautiful cities created during years of Alpha ?
  22. For me a wipe is Hero to Zero event and we all start from zero. Some biome changes, blueprints to respawn, thats not a wipe! I am talking about progress zeroed! I will never argue about biome/planetary wipes as long as they want to do something there, thats not a wipe for me
  23. Funny thing is you know that: 1: When beta was released on 27th august, JC said no wipe. Thats developer's word. Game is released. No full wipes. Just some stuff for biomes, errors, etc. 2: In Discord and on forums you have developers saying We wont wipe. 3: You have a year to fix your needs. There are paid subscribers out there playing knowing there are no wipes. NQ charges money due to no wipe. I am pretty sure they dont want more problems on their head beside the DU development ones. o7
  24. We are not at NMS level and i think we will never be anytime soon (2021).
  25. 1: DU will always be a niche game that means the population will always be low with different peaks. 2: the current DU population can and will create the environment for NEW players to join when the game will be ready for "release". 3: If they wipe the gap between the pro and the casual will be huge while the gap now can be closed very easily knowing not many ppl are playing. 4: If they wipe NQ will officially lie the player base. Some of us are here wasting our time in DU every single day creating and building knowing our progress wont be wiped. I dont care how you see it, if NQ wipes everything will be a lie. ps: i know they have no technical reason to wipe thou
