E:D is a an immersive First-Person view game. Again, First-Person.
    And this radar is your
only way of knowing your surrounding.
Also the combat in E:D is at much lower distances
In DU you can just wiggle your mouse a bit and see what's going on.
I think we actually need some fleet markers, and better UI for already existing system. Not a ripoff from other game with different mechanics...

Actually it is like that because it has always been like that for the last 40 years from back when it was a third person game like DU.

It doesnt need to be for secret things...

Literally NQ can talk to a group of people and see how many issues we find with the game, and then give reasons back and forth over why somethings are clearly borked or help us better understand their methodology. Frequently that sort of communication absolutely can resolve an issue, and puts things in better perspective.

Like the calibrations are obliterating the market... they think its a benefit at some cost in the long run. This is such evidence of how out of touch they are with the actual current status of things. OR they can show us some sort of math that makes it more clear, and then we could accept that.

Or they could just read the forums and respond to major complaints.

I mean at this point any representation or casual acknowledgement would be helpful. Its not like if the largest groups of DU leave the game will die..

Which is why we are better off pushing for real customer service. We are paying customers and NQ hardly has the money to offend customers.

For the most part NQ shouldnt tell the council anything that if they release would jeopardize the game... but if they lets say wanted to make some Autominer changes and talked to the council to solicit feedback that would be awesome, or laid out like 3 different fixes to bounce off the council

And all you will get is what EvE did, a CSM controlled by the largest alliances in the game who threaten to quit if they do not get their way.

    Sounds great.

Shifting resources on tiles makes a lot of sense and it will also keeps the exploration aspect alive and making money off it. I do suspect that the TS will become obsolete.

As mentioned in another post there will be a similar situation like Eve moon mining where it was captured by big alliances basically forever.

Except that having them static makes asteroid mining more important and a greater generator of content as well as the current system gives a bonus to those who have been here the longest from the wipe.

Having a group of people that try to drag the issue the players face isnt trash, and if thats what drives you to leave, you were always going to.

Well you are doing such a great job trying to turn the forums as toxic as EvEs I am sure you will drive away a lot of players in your holy quest.

You guys have given up on this game, thats fine, I appreciate your perspective.. but being thats the case just let us who remain work on it kthanks.

Except I have not given up on this game at all, I have played it every day since its launch, just because people are not telling you what you want to hear does not mean that you are somehow a knight on a noble quest and everyone else is wrong.

However I would quit the second this game started a CSM. It was a horrible idea then and its a horrible idea now.

  8. No way in Hell, the CSM was an abomination so that CCP could pretend to be listening to the customer feedback and led to some of the most arrogant customer service on the planet.
The voting system was easily manipulated by large corporations and even individuals and all it led to was a loss of a massive number of players and a PvP focus.

That is a sure reason to buy KSP2 on release and let this game rot.

The only good reason for nerfing ore spawns so badly at launch compared to beta - minimal T2+ on Alioth, barely any surface T2+ off Sanctuary - is if they're already planning to add more new planets with better ore soon.

That might be it, I have a feeling that for some stupid reason they are going to try and push PvP despite PvP being liked less than PvE as shown by WoW, Elite Dangerous, etc..

What should I start with as a Patron/Exotic Pack and how are the bonuses received?

Also, should I be getting a bonus to the Accumulation Rate of Talent Points, or is the MAX 180/min?  If the MAX is 180/min then how do I receive the bonus that is supposed to be 3M per month and 52.0 Million over 6 months?

Sorry if these are dumb questions, but I have read through the forum and all the info I can find elsewhere, but the explanation of HOW the rewards are delivered still escape me. As I do not seem to have any money or talent bonuses.

    Thanks

Was this ever answered? Also what day does the money occur? it is now 1 month after launch, or will it be the first of the month?

  11. No I think it needs to stay as it is. It means that those who started early and spent days scanning for minerals are rewarded. These people have paid real world money to play the game for a longer period and so should receive the bonus of the ability to gain more.

NQ should be very cafeful introducing more ores in new planets and should NOT alter what has already been done. I have had enough of wipes and altering the minerals is a form of mini-wipe.

Knee jerk every time I read this.  Backers didn't "play for free", they played based on a one-time fee.  Think I was in it for $175 (ish) - the most I've ever invested in a game that wasn't playable at the time.  Now, I admit, I'll get DACs for that - maybe.  Perhaps will find out tomorrow - but they were silent around DACs.  And I did get to play alpha and beta for a lot longer than anyone (except perhaps Blazemonger) predicted.  But it sure didn't feel like "free".

Yeah the Backers who paid more than the subscribers are now being screwed for gambling on a product that may never have existed if it was not for the backers.

Makes you so proud to be a backer, knowing NQ think you are worthless compared to a subscriber.

  13. Given that its pretty much a certainty that there will be some form of wipe before the Launch, can we just have it now?
Hopefully we keep our Skill points and BPs but honestly it is a real downer on game play, knowing there is probably no point to mining or building or setting up territories or doing much else.

I just want to be put out of my misery and get it over and done with then maybe NQ can follow this:

Q: Was the wipe at the start of Beta the final wipe?

A: There are no currently planned wipes of Dual Universe, however, NQ retains the right and ability to do so for balance, technical or gameplay reasons, NQ will attempt to mitigate these effects through plenty of forewarning and various dev means so that players are quickly back on their feet. The only case of a wipe will be if NQ sees no other option.

Thanks for making my point for me

This statement clearly keeps a wipe of any kind on the table, does not make any promises about what may or may not be retained.

At best it sets the expectation of a "best effort" by NQ to reduce impact if they can.

"The only case of a wipe will be if NQ sees no other option."

Rather says it all doesn't it. There are a lot of other options than a full wipe.

Subs might be income but they are going to need to start selling things in a fluff shop instead of the recruitment pyramid scheme for getting skins. Sub models only work if you make a game worth paying for. I would pay money for things like skins or pets that auto repaired, auto harvested, auto refueled, or played mini games for me. I would pay for things like dyes to make my avatar glow. NQ is not doing themselves any favors with a sub based model.

I would prefer like some kind of golden XS core that you can fit whatever you can fit into it which wouldnt be much along with bps and exp.

    XL Cores for cash maybe.

You lot really need to stop talking yourself into believing NQ made any commitments they never did. And some of you are so stubborn in clinging to these completely fabricated expectations you actually believe them to be true.

I notice that people only talk about subs but I am an alpha backer and while I do not pay subs I did pay the max lump sum when Alpha came out so its not just subs that payed for the service. (Subs are just the trickle right now)

Sorry the reason I mentioned subs, is due to NQs financial position. Us Alpha backers money is long since spent, meanwhile subs are new income that can be used going forward. A full wipe would strip the reason for people to sub during Beta and so it would be a loss of all that cash to NQ. Not to mention a probable loss of all these players forever.

This is why I said keeping Talent points and BPs is essential to any wipe.
