  1. That is an interesting thought. Since the bonus ore is independent of the base mining rate this actually leads to a scenario where this technique is preferred when restricted to low outputting territories. Although the ideal scenario would still be to obtain several high yield tiles and then spread out your charges across multiple mining units. As for the use of multiple accounts, I still just see this as a tradeoff between immediate and longterm gains when viewed at the individual account level. The only potential issue I see with this whole technique is that it allows the playerbase to selectively turn up the tap (ie: global extraction rate) on a particular ore beyond what may be intended. Realistically this should not be a problem thou as the market will eventually self-stabilize if one resource type gets over produced.
  2. Hey RipPaw and welcome back to Dual Universe. There are not a lot of public resources for ship design right now but @Tueradoor created a wonderful Thrust Calculator Spreadsheet back in beta and recently updated it again for release. It allows you to specify the quantity of each type of flight element and even takes into account your talents. Give it a try and see if you like it.
  3. I can confirm that industry units will currently operate on inactive tiles. This change was implemented in Panacea update 0.28.0 and remains in effect. Also since this seems to be a common question right now, note that inactive tiles do not count towards a mining unit's adjacency bonus. It must be an active tile owned by the same player or organization that owns the adjacent tile running said mining unit.
  4. Fair enough. If you are looking for a third party reference then perhaps try https://du-lua.dev by @jericho1060 it includes an online lua editor/emulator, detailed information on various in-game elements/recipes, and a mockup of the codex. I personally can not attest to the accuracy of the the information contained within but it is actively maintained and many players have found it extremely helpful. Hopefully you do too.
  5. I recommend you consult the in-game codex and the official GitHub for the most up to date information.
  6. Apologies, I did not see this thread and ended up responding here. I am glad to hear that you got it working by bypassing the launcher on the demo version but I suspect you will want to play on the main persistent server at some point. Please try following the advice I provided in that link and see if that helps restore launcher functionality. Wishing you the best of luck.
  7. It is hard to accurately diagnose issues without reviewing the logfiles but if a reinstall was unsuccessful then I suspect some part of your configuration files may have gotten corrupted. These are stored in appdata and not cleared via reinstall. Try deleting both the Novaquark and NQ folders from your local appdata directory (%localappdata% or C:\Users\<username>l\AppData\Local) and then run the launcher again. If that still fails to work, go back into the NQ directory, grab your newly created logfiles and submit them to NQ support via ticket so they can help you get back up and running. If you are feeling a little adventurous then you are also more than welcome to message me either here on the forums or on the discord and I will try to help you one on one to self diagnose the issue.
  8. Hey Cerveau, I just wanted to let you know that you will indeed be getting a sanctuary control unit on your gold kickstarter account along with the other rewards you are entitled too. The support team is still investigating the issue and you can read the latest official statement here.
  9. I believe this issue was already addressed in a previous patch. If you are still experiencing the above then please submit a ticket to NQ support via https://support.dualthegame.com/ and make sure to include the name of said construct.
  10. This appears to be more of a rant than actual feedback. Furthermore it contains numerous instances of slander towards the developers. Based on this I can only conclude that your target audience was not NQ but the playerbase. Why then address the playerbase in this manner? From my perspective, this appears to be a blatant attempt to get the community to riot. I do hope that was not the intention here but if you were trying to strong arm NQ into addressing your personal list of gripes by riling up the community then I am truly disappointed. With that said, here are my brief comments on the major points of your post: Your verdict on the T2 distribution on Alioth is premature and your belief that changes to the resource distribution should be made public is not one that I share. In fact I think the devs already reached a fair compromise when they decided to list the ores available on each planet/moon as opposed to leaving it to the playerbase to discover. Antigrav generators were designed with the 1km altitude restriction to limit their effectiveness. The AGG towers were a player made solution to mitigate this downside not an intended gameplay mechanic. Regardless, the only thing NQ has said is that the 1000m limit is a thing now. The exact details have not been uncovered by players. For all we know the limit could be referenced from the tallest point of natural terrain or maybe it even varies in value from planet to planet. This is still the age of discovery and some brave pioneer needs to climb up there and check. If it turns out that AGG towers are no longer viable then politely raise the issue so the devs are aware and can decide whether or not they want to correct it. Also keep in mind that this a bit of a controversial topic as not everyone is fond of the AGG towers. The missing STUs was an unforeseen issue and is being investigated. HTML screens being phased out was officially announced on numerous occasions prior to launch and was even part of the PTS release candidate. Also as Kurock pointed out, there is an option under your game settings to re-enable said feature for those who have still not mitigated to the new system. The devs already provided advanced notice that blueprint snapping was going to be included in a future update after the launch. There is nothing wrong with airing your complaints but if you want to actually help improve the game then I strongly recommend dropping the tone and instead providing constructive feedback with actual suggestions for improvement. This will encourage others to do the same and the subsequent interactions will transform ideas into effective solutions.
  11. There are a lot of potential causes for this and as JayleBreak said, we really need more information to be able to effectively help you. I also recommend you follow up with NQ support but if you like, I would be more than happy to spend some time helping you one on one. Feel free to hit me up on discord my ID is msoul#5459.
  12. Still a few bus tours left. Come check it out if you have time.
  13. As the holder of a sponsor pack you, will receive a total of 7 Dual Access Coupons (DACs) at release on the 27th of September. You will then have the option of redeeming said DACs to add 30 days of gametime to your account per DAC redeemed, for a total of 210 days or roughly 7 months. You do not need to subscribe or pay additional funds to redeem these 7 DACs as they were part of the sponsor pack rewards. Just consider the associated reduced cost as one of the perks to backing the game early on. Now when it comes to adding additional gametime you will need to either purchase a subscription via https://www.dualuniverse.game/buy (Just login to your account and select the interval you want, this works even if you have a backer account) or gametime codes via https://store.markeedragon.com/index.php?cat=360 (an authorized distributed) and apply them to your DU account on this page https://www.dualuniverse.game/account/products. Note that if you wish to take advantage of the older reduced subscription prices then you must complete this transaction before September 22nd.
  14. Here are a few of my screenshots from the inside of the bus.
  15. To setup a personal objective screen just right click a deployed screen unit, select edit content, and copy and paste the attached code. Note I think you will need to be logged in to the forums to download. Personal_Objectives_Screen.txt
  16. Hello Katakuri and welcome to the forums. From what I can gather you are trying to get your Elgato 4k60 capture card working and connected to your D3500 Camera but its not being recognized by your system. One of the most common issues associated with operating systems failing to recognize devices is missing motherboard drivers. Consider running windows update if you have not done so already and then lookup your motherboard specific drivers and install them manually. Apart from that I am not really sure what could be causing the issue. You might get lucky and someone more familiar with said capture card will come along to provide more specialized help but consider reaching out to Elgato support directly via https://help.elgato.com/hc/en-us Best of luck either way.
  17. I hope you were able to resolve this already but if not my recommendation to you would be to restart you computer and try again. This is arguably a bit excessive as just restarting the client is usually sufficient but there have been a few rare cases where a full restart is required. Should the problem still persist after that then please reach out to Novaquark Customer Support via https://support.dualthegame.com. Wishing you the best of luck. Official support is far superior but feel free to DM me on the forums or message me on Discord (msoul#5459) if you have general questions or need a helping hand.
  18. First just to be absolutely clear, on September 27th Dual Universe will launch and all player accounts will have their talent points reset to a nominal (near zero) starting value. The talent point accelerator event applies to all active subscribers. Backer status has no effect. The 6 months of talent queue was merely a recommendation to ensure that players get the most value out of said event. Feel free pick a different time period if you wish but keep in mind longer queues will help NQ plan for the future since they can pull statistics on them and thus get a feel for what players are specializing in. Being a gold Kickstarter or higher, a Patron Supporter, or having subscribed for 13+ months during the beta phase makes your account eligible for the Exotic Pioneer Pack. If you meet this requirement, have an active subscription, and login to the game at least once during the first month, then you will be awarded the items listed in Pioneer Pack Rewards. The quanta and talent point rewards listed in the packs are distributed at the end of each month for 6 months. Meaning an Exotic Pack owner will get 400,000 quanta and 3 million talent points at the end of each month for 6 months, resulting in a total of 2.4 million quanta and 18 million talent points by the end of the 6 month event. Note that the larger 52.9 million talent point value listed in the graphic also includes passive talent point accumulation (with accelerator) during the first 6 months and is hence a rough estimate for the total number of talent points said pack holder can expect to have at the end of the 6 month launch period.
  19. The last official pricing update was in November 2021. There has been no changes since then and as of writing the current subscription model is expected to remain in place. There are however a few things that will be changing with the release of Dual Universe on September 27th. Dual Universe will also be launching on steam and existing players will have the option of linking their steam accounts. Steam users will be able to to evaluate the game for free on a trial server with regular resets. Players who have expired subscriptions prior to launch will be awarded 2 weeks of free gametime on the main persistent server. DACs will be issued to all Kickstarter backers who will then be able to redeem them for 1 month of gametime each
  20. The schematic rewards from the Pioneer Packs refer to the new schematic copy system that was implemented in July 2022. They are single run schematics that can be used to fabricate dynamic core units if you have the required materials and industry unit. Thus players who receive these packs will be able to more easily produce the associated dynamic core units by not needing to pay the schematic copy fee or wait for the schematics to be created. Alternatively these schematic copies can be sold on the market or traded with other players in exchange for quanta.
  21. That is a very large amount of RAM and well in excess of the recommended system requirements for DU. Performance benefits beyond this point would likely be marginal at best. To help make the most of all that memory I recommend utilizing a fast solid state drive, although I suspect you already have that covered.
  22. Everyone will be starting together on Haven when launch hits where we will each be given 1 tile on said safe moon. Some backers are entitled to additional sanctuary territory units and can use them to lay claim to additional safe moon tiles. Although this has yet to be re-affirmed, it has been previously stated that each player may only claim a single tile on each safe moon. Meaning any additional sanctuary territory units will have to be deployed on the other safe moons like the Sanctuary moon. Thus provided nothing changes backers with this extra territory unit will start on Haven but can optionally travel to Sanctuary to lay claim to an additional safe moon tile there. What happens after that is completely up to the player.
  23. There is a safezone around the first 3 planets in the Helios system and some asteroids do spawn inside of it. See here for information on the current safezones, and here for basic information on asteroid mining. Feel free to ask if you need clarification on anything, there are plenty of asteroid experts who would be happy to help you get started.
